This is one of the oldest rumors of all time. It just won't die!

And I love how rumors say 'there may be plans for ______' because it says absolutely nothing. 'There may be plans for' me to run for President in 2008. 'There may be plans for' demolishing Disneyland Resort and building 100 Starbucks and 101 Coffee Beans to just see what would happen. 'There may be plans for' anything.

I really don't think Disney should build a water park out here until the time comes where they can buy out some of the surrounding hotels and demo them for more resort expansion. But like Matt said.... This really is an old rumor and keeps coming back every so often. Disney at one time while owning the Queen Mary and Spruce Goose in Long Beach, had wanted to build that up into a better resort with a water park and such. Well they sold it quite some time ago and nothing was done. This was also the 3rd gate rumor mentioned long ago. In fact, you might be able to find that thread here in the Rumor Mill somewhere and read into it more.

I've heard more recent rumors about it, that Disney is trying to buy the land north of the 5, but there is a slight battle going on with Anaheim because the city wants to put in low income housing. But there is more active talk of a 3rd park

I agree it seems like every week there is a new rumor, heck Ive even heard one said that they bought rights to make a Simpsons based water park. But then I see Universal opening a new Simpsons based ride at their parks, so who knows.

I have heard this rumor ever since DCA opened. It is one of the old rumors, and Disney occasionally looks at these rumors but focus on something else. If they were building a water park, it probably would not show for a while.

This is certainly a very old rumor. I would absolutely love a water park in the area, but I do agree with Executioner on this one. They should wait for more land to become available.
