Rocket Rods all the way, it was so fun, and it goes fast for a longer time than the test track did, cuz test track only goes fast for about 30 to 45 seconds, and the rocket rods went fast for over three minutes, so u can count me in for rocket rodsm, and hey those cars lokked really cool!

The comparison is Rocket Rods to Peoplemover.

I guess I would say People Mover, I have never been on that ride before.

Talking extra D

I used to buy an extra D ticket or two
so I could ride the PeopleMover again.
The young lady in the ticket booth would look at me quizically
and tilt her head to one side and say
Don't you mean E ticket?
and I would say
No, I want to ride the PeopleMover!
and she would sort of light up and nod and say
Oh! That would be a D ticket!
then smile broadly and take my 65 cents
and hand me the precious D ticket
.

I liked the People Mover, but somehow I don't really miss it, not in the way I miss, say, Adventure Thru Inner Space. Maybe it's because the Rocket Rods was (were?) so much better.

Eh, I'd rather not wait 1 hour plus for a ride on the same track that lasts what... 2 minutes? Peoplemover was one of the few attractions that give a satisfying experience with little or no wait. Yes, it was a little more thrilling, but it didn't even do that very well. You'd finally pick up some speed... then you would slow down again. Yet, it was too fast for you to be able to really enjoy the view.

I never really cared about the view. I mean, let's face it, Tomorrowland was pretty ugly in the days of the People Mover. There wasn't really anything to see that you couldn't see from the ground, or, even better, from the Sky Way. The only thing I really miss about it was the Tron thing. Actually, I think I miss the voice saying "Prepare for the game grid of Tron" even more than I miss the actual Tron thing.

Without question the Rocket Rods. The PeopleMover view was not great. I'm all for slow rides, but I don't think the view was that great. The Rocket Rods were fun, fast and a lot more popular. The PeopleMover wasn't popular in it's last days and probably wouldn't be very popular if it returned.

I personally would love to have a view winding through Autopia, the Submarine Lagoon, Space Mountain, etc.

I guess I wasn't a huge fan of the RR in their previous state. If they ever brought back the Rocket Rods, I would hope they would significantly redo it. Obviously banking the track to get rid of the annoying speed up and slow down business. I also wish they would redesign the vehicles. Granted, they did look very cool, but unless you were sitting in the front seat, you couldn't see hardly anything.

There is a 100% probability that the Rocket Rods will never return. It will be either one of three choices: the return of peoplemover, a different attraction, or the "Skyway Approach" - Get rid of an attraction and don't bother replacing it.

Well, it's still very much alive, and just as popular as it's ever been, in WDW. It was so odd riding that there. Everything was so similar to how it was at Disneyland, right down to the little to no wait time, until I actually boarded the Peoplemover w/ no bars & a roof .

I honestly don't have more than a couple memories of riding the DL PM. But after riding "TTA" at WDW and seeing the track layout of Disneyland's from the Rocket Rods, it seems like the ride would be much more scenic and interesting at DL. The view was definitely good at WDW, but it just looks that much better at DL. I could be wrong though.
