You miss my point. Talking down to someone by using a word and then immediately defining it for them, as if to imply that they're too stupid to understand you, is immature (the fact that you did it incorrectly only makes it worse). Whether or not you intended to be condescending doesn't change the fact that you were, and it's incredibly impolite. I'm not "flaming" or trying to start an argument, I'm simply asking you to practice what you preach and be a bit nicer to your fellow VFers.

I'll repeat it, stick to it & be done with it.

While I'm sure you'd love to waste another page on this boards going back & forth about whatever you want, that's pollution on these boards at best, so I'm not going to respond further on this matter. If you truely perceive anyone to be "egregiously condesending", PM a Mod about it. Name calling is beneath these boards & flaming is against guidelines.
I was not rude in any way, I didn't get any definition wrong, and frankly you're the last person here who should be telling others how impolite they were & to be nicer. Please find something more productive to do with your time than engaging in pointless attacks on me for a couple of typos. I'm done with this.

Peoplemover all the way! Better ride experience definitely. It was a great ride that loaded and unloaded very quickly (hence the short wait times), the great views, and the relaxing pace of the ride. It offered a good view of Space Mountain for people who do not ride more intense rides (in RCT terms), as well as great views of the rest of Tomorrowland. Plus, the Astro Orbiter was on top of the Peoplemover loading platform, and that was the best ride in the park! Well, at least it was my favorite back in the day!

Red face whatever it is

Whatever it is that uses that track next needs to be something that is always on, and always moving. It's important to the visual appeal of Tomorrowland that it appear to be a world on the move as the saying goes. All over Tomorrowland people should see vehicles moving around. It adds to the futuristic ambience. When I think of the future I think Where are the flying cars they've been promising us for the last 50 years? The Peoplemover, at least was always running. So whatever it is, I hope it's something reliable

They were fun, but they destroyed 2 attractions just to make one that didn't work right and the line was always very long. The queue was horrendous. I couldn't stand seeing it. A really cool attraction destroyed to make way for a very boring and unimaginative queue for a ride they didn't even keep around. WAY TO GO!!!! I chose the Peoplemover cause I had more fun going slow and soaking up all the sites you could see while riding it. You could even take some time to look behind the scenes. RR went way to quick to get a good look. Or to even relax and enjoy anything. Bring back the Peoplemover.

You guys have no idea how popular the Peoplemover would be today. People are foaming at the mouth today for a relaxing ride through places like Space Mountain where they can get off their tired feet, have a nice ride, and just have fun with the kids without standing in line for an hour or so...

Fully with you on that one Matt. It may not look like it did, but something slow paced and relaxing will come back to it and more than likely be named the Peoplemover or something similar to that name. I mean, what could they do to the track? They can't add a fast ride again. They already did that and it failed. Taking it out entirely would mean closing TL and they don't want to do that now that they just reopened SM. They need another attraction there.

Well I never really commented in here, and now that its been brought up I suppose I will.

I really don't know which to vote for, because I liked both. But really, if the Rocket Rods received the funding that a normal ride usually gets, it could be great.
And its apparent it didn't get much funding, because only one side of the wall had the Rocket Rods signage, instead of both sides of the wall.
But Disney wanted a cheap way to make an "E-ticket" and this obviously didn't work. So if they spent some more money, they could bring back the Rocket Rods but I doubt they will do that, because they know that the peoplemover works well, and they can't know weather or not adding some more funding can make the rocket rods a successful attraction.

I'm really torn on this one. Disneyland hasn't had a new thrill ride in a while. Besides the new version of Space Mountain, although I won't count that since the idea is exactly the same. I think that if they were to bring back Rocket Rods they would need to come up with ways to have the ride maintain its speed on the turns. I know they had to slow down the cars substantialy because the turns weren't banked, and so they would need to bank the turns, and virtually put in an entirely new track. I say bring back the Rocket Rods if they have a very large budget. If not, the Peoplemover, which is a Disney classic in its own.

Fan of the Rocket Rods here, but if given the choice, People Mover...hands down. Nothing can replace the nostalgia I feel when I think of the old PM. I would love to take my kids on it!
