Possible new Star Tours film?

My sis (who is a cm) is saying that in a couple of months they are going to change the movie on Star Tours!!! She says that there is a choice, to take the good old trip to Endor or to take the new ride to the new planet. (she said she couldn't remember the name of the planet)

Well it's pretty much a classic, but I wouldn't mind seeing it changed. I love it how it is, so as long as they make it as thrilling, I'm all for it.

so long as they keep both. Maybe have 6 month overlays of the 2? SO that way half of the year is one movie, and the other half is the new one.

As long as they don't change it to anything from the new Star Wars movies. I say go to Hoth and battle ATAT Walkers or keep the same as it is.

As long as they keep the classic and have the new I will be happy. I wonder if they will make new simulators(or at least refurbish them) for the new version.

^^Yea we'll be lucky enough to get a new film. They probably will refurbish them if we get a new film. Adding things inside the ship (like fog machines for crash's and stuff) but they won't make new one's. The ship is made from some sort of metal covered by plastic. Well over the years the plastic is starting to get loose. Espicaialy on the doors. So i assume soon they won't be able to keep tigtining them, they will have to replace them.

I've heard that George Lucas will not let Disney remake the ride. At least that's what I heard a year or so ago. Something about the rights he has over everything. Although, its always AWESOME to see that lady in the video before boarding in that HORRID 80's hair and makeup!

I just hope this new version will be as good as the older version.

^^Its also gotten worn out. If you haven't noticed its pretty fuzzy. They need to update to a digital projector. Or even hi def.

The only problem with that one is that it would seem to only benefit locals. I mean, when you plan all year to make a trip from out of state, you want to take in the maximum. you want to see everything. a six month overlay makes you choose and thats kinda dumb. a choice or random variation in destination would be wonderful and would enhance the spaceport theming.
I also agree that hoth and walkers would be pretty intense... and an ice cave maybe? lots of possibilities.

I do not want them to make an entirely new film.. The one it currently has is classic and Star Tours wouldn't be the same if they got rid of it... I say only redo it, keep it the same destination, just upgrade the technology, make it look more crisp and real.

^^They can't just take the film and say abra kadbra and its nice and crisp. Plus i don't even think they have the original to remake it. Who knows.
