^^Well there is a diffrence and one point is the atomosphere, but thats like closing your eyes during maliboomer, well sorta. But being pushed into your seat and being pulled out are two diffrent things. How can you say they are the same? (as in you i don't mean linklewett only im mean you as in anybody)

One thing I don't like about the high rides like Maliboomer and California Screamin' is that... When you look a little to your left.. Or right.. Or directly infront of you, is, what do you see?? The outside world! When I go to Disney, I want to feel completely like you walk into a 'magical' world that shows very little or no outside environment. Disneyland has done a great job with that.
DCA, you can see a parking lot, maybe a 7/11 or whatever nearby, sidewalks and so on. I really don't like seeing that kind of stuff when I go into any amusement park infact. But it really turned me down when you see it at Disney. I say get rid of Maliboomer, for California Screamin', they should try blocking the outside view of freeway and parking lot a little better. |

Well Screamin' you can't really see the outside world unless you're looking for it. Your big chance to see outside is on the lift hill, but the scream shield on it also blocks the view of Katella.
What would you do with a ride like Maliboomer though? Just not have it entirely? Have seats that only face inside the Resort? IMO, the Boomer's a ride worth keeping. It just has a poor title. I like being a living metal pellet that shoots up & rings a bell at the top of the tower. I think that's a very creative way to theme towards a beachfront boardwalk. -- The Chief

Well, maybe atleast get rid of the back rows of Maliboomer that completely face the other direction of Disneyland. IMO, I think putting Maliboomer atleast somewhere around the middle of the park would have been better, instead it's parked right at the border line to the streets.
California Screamin', what I most refer to is the chain lift part about halfway through the ride where you see in between Tower of Terror and Disneyland park itself is a huge parking lot. I really don't want to be riding then sudden see our car parked down below, lol. If an Incredible ride will take up that Parking lot, well sounds like it would be something big. |

You used to be able to see the outside world and the parking lot from the Monorail. Does that make the monorail a poor ride? It is a ride, despite the stop @ the Hotel.

EDIT: I never said they were poor rides, I actually enjoy both Mailboomer and California Screamin' very much. But their is just that one dirty scratch that turns me down a little bit. I would actually be angery if they got rid of California Screamin', to tell the truth. Last edited by Disney_Guy; 10-17-2006 at 11:34 PM. |

Actually, the Monorail is meant as an attraction just like Autopia is. It is the only Disney monorail like that, and the proof that it is an attraction is the fact it's the only Disney monorail which requires valid park admission to board & has a stop inside the gates of one of its parks.

Well okay. I'll agree, but I have nothing to dislike about the Monorail, it's fun!
Also, read my edit from my above post if you haven't already. One more thing, your a mod, but I think I come to realize this thread is about Midway Madness, and we're talking about other things, so we've been going off-topic, so I'm sure I will stop further discussion about this. Well it sorta ties in with Midway Madness being in Paradise Pier. This thread is going to stick around for a long, long time & there's going to be long periods between developments in the Midway Madness story. It won't be the last time this thread wanders off topic!
Jeez how many times did the Pirates thread get off on a tangent? And that was only around for 7 months. This thread could still be here in 2008! -- The Chief

okay, lol. there is a reason there tearing down paradise peir, because it lacks really any atmosphere. Its ugly, looks unfinished. Walt would of hated it.
Anyway does anybody know if this is gonna be an E or a D ticket ride? and does anybody know if its been confirmed for MGM yet?
