The Official Toy Story Midway Mania (DCA) Thread

The ride is somewhat confirmed. While Screamin' is closed for refurbishment. The real reason is that it won't be stable when they are plotting underground for the Midway Madness foundation. All CS employees are being trained on other attractions for that LONG refurbishment. Everything should go fine, except that Disney is praying that the friction from the supports of Screamin' won't make a huge vibration underground. Thus they will have to come up with a new support system or just reinforce the bottom plants of the supports. THE RIDE IS SUPPOSED TO BE ANOTHER SHOOTER. URGH! No creativity, and guess what PIXAR. Great Guys. At least it is an original ride, but basically a clone of BLAB with a new theme!

okay just to let you know it's not a shooting ride. you'll have hats with two lights on them and then you can put you're light's in any dark corners and you'll find a disney character that will interact with you. it's gonna be cool!!!

That sounds kinda confusing. So u wear a hat that has lights and if you aim the hat at an area and see a character he moves around talks dances, stuff like that?

According to this:
Disney invents interactive 3-D projection system
Disney applied for a patent for a system that might be used for Midway Madness. The device could be anything that shines a light or tracking beam. It could be a pair of glasses, or a hat. Or it could be a flashlight that the guest could shine on surfaces to reveal 3D characters that would react in some way. I think something hand-held and mounted in the vehicle would be more practical than a hat or glasses, but who knows? The patent may have nothing to do with Midway Madness.

Hmm whatever disney got a patent for sounds an awful lot like laser tag. there is a class 1 cosmetic laser and also an infra red signal that sends out at the same time.
