New Star Tours Vid?

has anyone heard anything about a new star tours video, i did hear that lucas was interested and thats about it, any news? -thanks

i heard a while back that they are updating it, that it was suppose to be done,, i think in 06. but it didnt happen!

Well last time i heard George didn't really want to have anything to do with disney, becuase they kept bugging him about it. Heard that form an old Al Lutz article. The ride just had its 20th birthday on January 9th, Supposdly lucas announced Star Tours II at a convention back in April 2005, this was the pod-racing version, so far there hasn't been any changes.

yea i didn't find out until a couple years ago, now you can really hear it. especially during his last bit of dialogue after you land. listen to how his voice raises lol

I have heard rumors of both a Tattooine and also a pod racing video to take it over. But I heard they are also going to keep endor too. So they will supposedly have both the new and old star tour attractions. In a way, that does make sense...you have nostalgia (endor) and the new (whenever that is done) together. Of course that will mean re-splitting the line in two and the new one constantly being hours longer than the other one. *shrug* but hey what other ride can have all the old elements yet have a new thing added as well? Let's see pirates top that one! =P

Since this ride is supposed to be about travel, I think it would be nice if they had each different "ship" tour a different place/planet.

I heard that the Disneyworld one will have 2 new trips added that George Lucas helped make, but the Disneyland ride is not scheduled to receive the update. Dont know why not though?
