DCA and DL should stay seperate, it wouldn't be good as one park.

I agree to some extent. TDS is a very cared for park and it a spectical on its own. The level of detail is amazing. BUT it lacks origionality in terms of rides. The whole idea was based on a theme park for california, not tokyo. But then they said lets do tokyo. and then they basicaly took all the good rides from all the parks and put them in TDS. What does indiana jones have to do with tokyo or a sea? The origional rides are great like journey, and sinbad. But they could of did a better job creating more new rides for the park and not just hand pick rides from other theme parks as if all the other theme parks were some sort of catalogue for TDLR. But it is a great park.

i dont like the idea of merging the two together, but seriously DCA has the potential to become a classic. its just not quite there yet. but until it gets to that point, they dont need to be together.

this is totally fantastical, but if i could i would like to have this massive underground tunnel (sort of like at Knott's that goes under the street to get from Knott's to Soak City). but this tunnel would start just in front of the Main Street train station (if the train station was more like MK's -- all big and stuff). it would go under the esplanade and emerge in the beginning of DCA. that way we wouldn't have to exit Disneyland through the turnstiles, stand in line, and enter DCA through the turnstiles.

this is idea is impossible to achive, but if the 2 parks had been built together, it would have been cool this way. they would be interconnected, but still 2 different parks.

perhaps if they built a monorail station inside DCA it could work?

No, no merge. I know when Disneyland was four it had a huge expansion. DCA is five and has not seen one. It is due for a huge expansion that will have three e-tickets. Like Disneyland in 59 when the subs, monorail, and matterhorn went in. Put in a Mt. Shasta volcano attraction, with a Alcatraz ride like Wendell's idea a long time ago and a transportation system (cable cars anyone?)

I hear you on that, I don't live anywhere close. BUT when I mention Disneyland people say "Oh your going to LA" NO I am going to Disneyland which resides in Anaheim, ORANGE not LOS ANGELES COUNTY! Two different places.

I do enjoy Soarin, TOT but other than that, I can go to my local Six Flags to get my 'amusement park fix"... Why would I want to spend time, money and energy walking through DCA when I have a season pass to Marine World just a half hour away from my house. I come to DISNEYLAND for Disneyland. Call me a Disneyland purist but I see meesing with an origianl too much it looses its magic.

I see DCA & SFMW parks as just the same. DCA doesn't do it FOR ME, it to me does not have that 'special" Disney feel to it at all. Anyone else feel this way. Sure its fun but, Egh!

Oh I hate that too. I live in Elfin Forest in San Diego, and when I say Disneyland to my relatives in Idaho or somewhere, they are always like, Oh your going to LA! I just want to punch them out. GAHHHHHHH

They are both around the same area. Most people dont care about the little details. When most people think of Disneyland they think of the LA area. For example think of how many times they have changed the name of the Angels. California-Anaheim-LA. Very few marketing endeavors use the name Anaheim any more because Anaheim is basicaly a subperb of LA.

Saying Disneyland's in LA is like saying WDW is in Orlando or Tokyo Disneyland is in Tokyo.

Most of the general public seem to think that way.

Right but Disneyland is not within the City Limits of Los Angeles, WDW is not within the City Limits of Orlando, Tokyo Disneyland is not within the City Limits of Tokyo. DLR is in Anaheim, CA; WDW is in Lake Buena Vista, FL; TDR is in Uraysu, Japan.

WDW is sort of disputable. Is Lake Buena Vista legaly considered a town?
