:castle:I hope you guys don't hate Light Magic. I didn't have a problem with it, although it didn't impress me. I believe that the soundtrack is completely salvageable, and in my opinion, on of Disney's best. So I've put this little show together in RCT3. It was a year in the making with storyboards, first versions, revisions, and four months of programming. I tried to voice Jiminy Cricket in the beginning, didn't go over well. Nevertheless, whether you loved or hated the show, I hope you guys enjoy this version of Light Magic, in four parts.

Here is my problem: I make the cs object and when in the game, various sections of the object are invisible. Here is an example...

Check out my new ride!

For those of you who know my recent record of my Space Mountain RCT3 projects, you probably know that I abandoned them a long time ago because I was blind to the CS making process. But now I have actually successfully created an RCT3 object! All I have to do now is install the game on my since-new computer. ;)

Anyway, I have a timeline of effects set up for my animated textures so that I can sync them as I create the sequences. For instance, galaxy appears at 0:24, strobe tunnel starts at 0:13, etc. The reason I'm doing this is so I can set the rockets to travel 30 seconds apart like in the actual ride and get amazingly accurate timing on the effects without post-game editing. I've actually made all of the animated textures, so I'm just going to have to see what they look like once in the game.

All of these models were captured in sketchup, but I should have in-game pics soon.





This is more or less what the re-entry tunnel will look like. It has long, rectangular strips angled in weird places, which will have the zooming star effect applied to them.


Here's a single frame of the strobe tunnel animation. There are actuall twelve animation sequences, two for each tunnel piece for six tunnels in a complete sweep through.



I paid close, close attention to how the strobe tunnel worked. It alternates every other strip of lights and switches each time it sweeps through. And it's not just a single white light- there are different shades of blue that precede and follow it that only happen for split seconds but make all the difference. You haven't seen a simulated strobe tunnel like this.

The dome has LOTS of faces, but it's only going to be used once, of course.

So there you have it, that only being a sample. I'm working on UV mapping now.

I have been working on a space mountain recreation for 3 years now, and have gotten very far, but never far enough to release a finished product. Now I have decided to revamp my models and take this thing to the next level, I restarted my actual dome a week ago and here is what i have done do far. Hope you LOVE it!
(the fly through and most of the que will be in sketchup, the station and the ride will be in rct3, the end que will be also in sketchup, and combined with sony vegas 9 movie studio platinum pro 9 effects, I am hoping this will be one of the best space mountain recreations ever!)

Does anyone know how to build Custom Scenery buildings? I always try to make a Disney park with shyguy's Main Street sets, but I don't know how to build stuff! Any help would be great!
