OMG I love this ride. I was so scared when the drops started that by the look of the photo below I just about pooped myself. This has to be one of the best rides I have been on in long time. So what are your thoughts about this ride?

Since they're trying to apologise for California Adventure's less-than-amazing past, I'm thinking the Monsters, Inc. attraction has to get the heave-ho as well. Now I was just thinking that since The Great Movie Ride is such a hit at Disney's Hollywood Studios that maybe another version of that attraction could overtake Mike & Sulley in Hollywoodland. Of course this attraction would require a lot more room, & I think the Millionaire building & some of the backstage areas would be the answer to that problem. I know this attraction would require permission from rival studios to include scenes based off their movies but I think this attraction could be a big hit here as it is in Florida (along with the fact that this attraction would bring all those famous scenes back to where they originated.) Anyways do you think The Great Movie Ride would be able to expand into Disney's California Adventure?

Just Wondering, has anybody had a chance to take a good look at the Candy corn on the Corn Stalks in DCA, i was thinking to make some of my own for next halloween, and was wondering if they are made just like the Skulls that are all over the haunted mansion, i know that the skulls are made with eventually the same plastic like Milk Jugs, just a lot thicker, and am wondering iff the corn is the same, just painted .

Okay, pretty much all things relating to Muppets are weird, but that's because they're the Muppets! I noticed this really weird thing when I went to DCA a few days ago: at the end, when the hole is blasted through the theater and the truck comes in, Sweetums speaks and can be seen in the background, speaking. But he also ran into the theater and said it. Why is that? Either that was Pluto in the background, and all the fake dust didn't permit me to see that, or they've always done that and that wasn't Sweetums...

Perhaps this is the right place to post this? I haven't discussed anything of this nature before...BUT I am curious to know who of you is familiar with the Toy Story Mania ride? If you are, have you played the new Toy Story Mania game for the Wii and is it similar to the ride?

Ok, i went to DCA on Thursday and the first ride i went on was the Tower of Terror. It was amazing. But i have a small question. While getting onto the Ride Vehicle, I noticed what looked like a track so to speak on the floor. now knowing that the Hollywood studios version is designed to move independently of a track, i am curious about the DCA version and also where they do the maintenance. Can the ride vehicles be moved away from the loading platform to allow for maintenance to work on the vehicles in the load and unload areas or do they go beyond the main ride shaft to an area behind the shaft for repairs? I am having a hard time figuring this out.

It's Feb 8 2001 and DCA finally opens what are your personal prespectives why wasn't DCA a big hit?

I am reading a very interesting book called "Walt's Revolution! By The Numbers" which was written by Harrison "Buzz" Price. Mr. Price worked for the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) back in the 1950s and was the guy who did the location and feasibility studies for Disneyland.

Price went on to form his own company called Economic Research Associates (ERA) in the late 50s. ERA was commisioned by Walt to continue doing studies for various Disney projects including the New York World's Fair and Walt Disney World. During Walt's lifetime Price did 110 different studies for Disney.

Price's book contains a tabulation of these 110 studies undertaken by ERA. Each study was given a project number. 11 of the studies were done on Disneyland projects.

Here is the kicker: Project No. 68 which was finished by Price in January, 1961 is titled "California Living Second Gate". This was one of the Disneyland project studies Price completed.

It would appear that Walt was considering a second gate for Disneyland based on California. Needless to say, I found that astonishing. I have never heard of this and Disney (to my knowledge) has never discussed it.

I find it amazing that Walt was considering this in 1961, only 6 years after Disneyland opened.

It is frustrating that no other info on this appears in the book. It is simply on a list of studies.

Obviously, nothing came from this study at the time. Reasons for this are most likely that Walt became involved with the World's Fair and then in his Florida project.

First I'm wondering what do you think of this? Walt wanted a second gate at Disneyland based on California. Did WDI refer back to this study when planning the second gate which became DCA? Why wouldn't they make a point of saying their new park was inspired by an idea Walt had 40 years before DCA opened?

Second, does anyone know anything about this? According to Price, the only place the list of 110 studies occurs is in his book. It would be interesting if anyone has any more information on this.

Is Maliboomer being really being taken out. Because on the vision of the 2013 california adventure map there is nothing there to replace it. Unless there is something that they haven't anouced yet. But if nothings going to be there why not keep it because there seems to always be a line. And also i'm a fan of having some minimal themed rides in the park to bring variaty like screamin' and mickey's fun wheel, were it's the ride itself which is the fun and trill not all the scenery and specal effects around the ride.

What I Notice today at the D23 expo intrigued me Because the main intention at the Expo was for DCA This will be a sensational park by the summer of 2012 and If I didn't believe it then Hearing from John Lasseter Himself I must admit "I do believe in Lasseter and DCA" Now this man has a vision like Walt Disney as for bringing us a product and delivering !

For me it's a big yes Cause DLR hamburgers Suck! In-N-Out burgers are the best just my opinion!

Okay, so this has been on my mind for a while now. I've been debating with myself over whether to invest in getting tickets to this yearly Halloween party thing they do at California Adventure. For those of you who've been, is it worth it? Is it as much fun for adults and teens as it is for little kids? Is the experience really worth $42 to go on Halloween night? Is it cheesy? Is it crowded? Are the lines for rides packed? Also, do they have costume contests? Prizes? Are there alot of adults and teens at the park, or is it just basically parents with little kids and those who were dragged along?

My opinion is that the show will be canceled due to high winds.

Other q is that can they use both sides of the lake to see it?
How long will ppl wait to see this? at DL Fantasmic viewers wait since 5pm and its not even a new show.
How many showing are there? i think only 1 since they close at 10.

Now that DCA is in full rehab Mode, I like this ride but a change to GRR could help this attraction for example change it and call it "expedtion Mt Whitney" like the clone attraction they have in the Animal kingdom Called "expedition everest" which is the best ride Disney Imagineers have ever made to date , well at least in my opinion what do you think? or the fact that matterhorn is DL is enough, give your thoughts,

Anyone else think that it could be removed and the space better used? Or are there many fans of the area? I'm just a bit curious, as this topic came up between myself and several other Disneyland fans a few days ago.

During the day when the WOC viewing area is not being used like in the Daytime could that be Used as a waiting Line For the Little Mermaid Ride Cause I can Imagine that Line for the first couple of years will be LOOOOOONG!
