I think mine would be Splash Mountain and New Orleans Square.

So yesterday while heading to the park on the tram, inspectors from OSHA were all over two trams parked off to the side of the lot. I could over hear two CM's talking about OSHA being there again. So that's great, now what? Individual seat belts with air bags on the trams? Here we go again!

I will soon be working at the Disney California. I know they have free offsite parking for the employees.... but is it open 24 hours. Planning on arriving before 7am and hope the shuttle buses are running... ANYONE??

At what age did you very first visit Disneyland?

I know this may be a little too soon to ask but does anyone know if there are going to be any new additions to this years Christmas season? This is by far my favorite time to travel to Disneyland, I was just wondering if anything will be new?

What Disneyland item do you have that you prize the most?

I have a few favorites, but one I enjoy the most is the Jungle Cruise. Its theme extends all the way through the que line with things to look at and music and such to listen to. The entire surroundings make it enjoyable to wait in line :)

I think my favorite has got to be waiting at the station listening to the morse code and driving through Splash Mountain.

I think the French Market needs to bring back the fresh salads, not the pre-packaged lettuce, and needs to being more items to their menu. Perhaps the fried chicken, spaghetti they once served and some of the old seafood salads they use to offer. Oh and the yummy ranch dressing they once served....it was much better than the package stuff they give you now.

Heys! Does anyone know where I can find some prints of the ghost portraits from the Haunted Mansion (The ones along the hallway with the knocking doors)? Or is there like a website where I can print out a hi-res photo? I'm thinking about getting some prints and framing them so I can hang them up in my own ghost gallery heheh ;) I already tried the download from Doombuggies.com, and the ones from Gothicmanor.com are too big. Anybody know any good sources? Please and thank you! :biggrin:

Anyone know any info on Alice? Is the attraction back up running, if not anyone know when or have any speculations on what it will look like?

For myself, I have never been over to Tom Sawyer Island. I guess it just doesn't seem very interesting to me.

Does anybody know what happens or what do kids get when they go to DL for Halloween time? This would be my first time taking my daughter and I was wondering what to expect. Is she going to be able to trick or treat in the Park?

I do enjoy the new version, but I miss certain parts of the original version. I miss hearing the mans voice echoing through the caves after the two drops stating "dead men tell no tales" and the rest of the spiel.

The other day while riding the canoes, a young man kept messing around and almost fell out after losing his balance . It got me wondering if anyone really has fallen overboard in all the years the canoes have been an attraction.

Is DL still showing Captain EO or have they gone back to HISTA? If so when is that going to go away? Not that I want it to go away I love that better than HISTA.

I would love to see some new show replace this attraction. Nothing about it says "Disney" to me. What do you think?

I'm surprised I didn't see a topic on this already. You may or may not have heard that Murphy collapsed during the first Fantasmic showing this past Saturday. The show was then canceled and so was the 2nd showing. Sunday's showings went on without said dragon. I've been trying to find video (there's a fake one on YouTube) of it but with no success. Anyone know of anyone who captured this disaster? I'm just curious to see how bad it was. The pictures look awful.

Though small and not too exciting, one attraction that i miss is the motor boats that use to be over by It's a Small World.

What is the best and the worst meal or food item you've ever had at Disneyland?

I know that Autopia is a classic and a staple at Disneyland. But I have to say, Autopia is one thing that either needs to be updated or changed to something else.

I love everything and have so much respect for all of the classic attractions that walt created. I have been sad to see some of them go. But I feel that this is a necessary change. I would love to see maybe a real go cart track with an awesome theme or even a completely different ride or show all together.

I know that the ride is great for little ones, and if that is the reason why it has to stay then why not update it?

I have been to disneyland many times growing up and that was the one ride that I had never been on until recently. I took my husband to Dsney World for the first time and he really wanted to go on Autopia because he assumed that it was going to be like Go Carts. I tried to tell him that he was going to be a little dissapointed with it ;) But we still went on it.

Anyways, my point is that I was really supprised that Autopia has remained pretty much the same for the last 50 years. Just going arround in a car outside that you are not really driving. ;)

I was curious to know what my fellow disneyland nerds ;) thought about this. Am I totally in the wrong to want change for such a classic disneyland attraction? :confused:

Anyone have any updates for the new Matterhorn trains and the new monster on the ride? It will probably be awesome with any new special effects the add to the monster :)

Its peak season at the park, so why do they only have two monorails running, and why no air conditioning with such limited air flow?

This is just my personal opinion, so don't get offended if you don't agree with me. I personally think it's time that Disney retires Fantasmic! and brings something bigger and better to the park for its nighttime entertainment lineup. Don't get me wrong, Fantasmic! is a fun show, but it was never intended to stay for 18 years. It was only meant to be sort of a short-lived show, as was noticeable with the very temporary-looking dragon that was present before it was upgraded last year. Yes, the show over the years has gotten changes and minor upgrades, but nothing that has really altered the show significantly. The show really seems to be showing its age, especially after you look at how technologically advanced World of Color is. I made a big deal about not comparing the two, but it's really apparent that Fantasmic! is not as innovative as it once was. And since Disney can't find any way to change the experience such as adding new segments, it's really making me curious as to why it's been here for so long.

With World of Color playing nightly across the esplanade (which seems a more enjoyable show) there seems to be little need for both. I would be absolutely fine if Disney decided to flip the switch to off on Fantasmic! and turn their focus to a spectacular nighttime parade. Instead of cramming thousands of people into one location, a parade helps spread those crowds out over the course of the parade route. So, just as many people, if not more, could experience it. Even better, it wouldn't cut off crowd circulation (depending on how crowd control handles it.)

I would be overjoyed if Disneyland received Fantillusion from Paris. It's sort of like the Electrical Parade, but it utilizes the good versus evil storyline. In essence, it's very similar to Fantasmic!, but uses the parade route instead of the Rivers of America. Better still would be an all-new experience created just for Disneyland.

What do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts on this matter too.

A week ago I was in Disneyland all day and all night. The next day I realized I had a bad bruise on the inside of my right calf. And I didn't notice until today that I have one near my right elbow. I haven't been able to figure out where I got them, but I suspect it was on Space Mt. due to the clumsy way I exited the vehicle. Of course, I came to that conclusion after considering all the possibilites and it was, in a way, fun to run through my trip in my head trying to remember where I bumped my leg and my arm so badly.

What bruises have you received on your trip(s) to DLR? Where do you think you got them? Do you consider them "badges of honor" or sort of souveniers? I do, but maybe I am weird!

How many days in a row have you gone to Disneyland and actually entered the park. If it is an astronomical number...why did you do it? (Remember, I only mean days in a row!)

Ok, I'm thinking this could be a joke, but I'm not sure. If anyone goes to Disneyland this weekend, look at the fountain in the middle of the Tiki Room. There you will find a fake cracked egg with the shell and all, and also two fake bird doodoos. It is one of the funniest we have all ever seen.

After 4 years of waiting, it is finally here. My phone interview is Friday at 10:30. I'm a little nervous, but extremely excited. For the people who have already been through this, do you have any advice?

Just got back from my Disneyland Resort casting interview. I got offered a custodial job but was put on a wait list for the fall season. Has anyone else gone through this recently or is this their way of saying we don't really want you.

Custodial was my first choice on my application.
