Ok a friend of mine has just alerted me to why many of the effects and tricks are not being repaired on Indiana Jones Adventure. It seems that Due to a recent earthquake and other things, the ride building will no longer meet the the Fire and Earthquake codes here in california in 2011. So instead of going under rehab, Disney plans to shutdown the current version of IJA and tear it down completely and rebuild the entire ride and update it for Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. My source also stated that due to the earthquake a while back much of the lighting is not located correctly and that is why much of the ride looks a little weird.

According to Al Lutz, Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor may be the replacement for Honey, I Shrunk the Audience.

We all know Marvel won't be in DL, cause of it's uniqueness, but as far as DCA that's another story the struggling park will benefit of the Marvel Acquisition, I can see it now a Marvel attraction in Hollywoodland, and Like they Have in DL Star Wars Weekends , they will have Marvel weekends in DCA I can see it now Captain America and Spiderman training young fans becoming a super Hero, these are just a couple of thoughts but you never Know!

Anyone hear about Disney building a third theme park in the next 6-10 years near Disneyland? What could it be? What would YOU want it to be like?

Ok, so I rode the HM on its anniversary date, after attending the Shag event(08/09/09), and I thought I saw the Hatbox Ghost burried in the back, where it is very dark. I spotted what seemed to be an outline of a tall stovepipe type hat, and a round hatbox being held out in front, but most of it was Camouflaged with random boxes surrounding it. Mind you it was in almost complete darkness. I flipped out, and was yelling out "look! look!, the Hatbox Ghost to my girlfriend.

I first saw it right after leaving the ballroom area, as you round the corner to see the attic scene on the right. That is where I thought I had saw it first. Then, towards the end of the attic scene, directly across from the bride is a pretty big and empty pad, that used to have old trunks and suitcases scattered and stacked. It is all opened up now, as if they are dragging the Hatbox out of the shadows to test afterhours...? Could this really be? Or is it just my imagination, hmm? :confused:

I'm going back today with my nightvision video camera to shoot that area, and give my mind some closure. I rode the ride twice, saw the remarkable outline for split seconds in the dark, but as we got to the area across from the bride, it looked like lamps and water pitcher were junk to make it seem like it might have been the hatbox ghost... I've seriously have been buggin' about this, and closure will be had!

I'm really suspect about the cleared area directly across from Constance, but I will lay this rumor to rest once I replay the video I'm going to shoot!

I know I might get negative answers like I always have, and I know it's bit early, but I'm asking, are we ever going to see a new parade as part of the 55th Anniversary next year?

I know what you're probably thinking: "It's going to get changed again?!?!" I was working on My New Disney Resort and was thinking about how many units and what floats we should have for the parade, so I looked over at Wikipedia for info on each Electrical Parade, and guess what I saw there?

It gives a list of floats on each parade and the years they were present in the parade and of course, this was what I found at DEP info(I don't remember exactly how it went, but it was something along these lines):

"Blue Fairy (2001-2009) (Rumored to return next to Pinnochio next season)"
"Dumbo's Circus (2001-2009)(Rumored to return next season)"

What do you guys think?

Today while we were waiting for Fantasmic in our usual spot, just behind and to the right of the control board for the show at tower B. One of the tech's started chatting up a conversation with a guest and the guest was asking him about his job. He told the guest that he was just doing Fantasmic today but that his main job is running the firework shows. The guest asked him a question about 'Magical' the new show running in the parks and the tech told him how its only running for the summer then it was going to be a Halloween show, then the holiday show and finally back to RDCT. If what the tech said is true we will finally be getting Hallowishes here in Anaheim for this Halloween season!! Applause, Applause!

I was at downtown disney last week (around June 13th). I parked in the dd lot by the Paradise Pier hotel and there were alot of construction gates up and around. As I walked behind the hotel and into dd, I noticed those permanent white cone posts up in a circular order. Then I looked at the ground and white stripes are painted in a circular way resembling a tram turn-around point. Is there a new tram route coming through this way? I believe there very well could be because there is alot of parking lot space there, and it would bring guests much closer to dd.

Once again, more rumors of this ride, some say, 2010 is the Opening day, while some others say it's not going to be there...

I'm pleased to announce that I heard that there is a 80% chance that the POD will be coming back in the summer. This was leaked from a CM that told a friend of mine. The plan is to have POD run during the day and Celebrate! A Street Party! at night.

Thoughts? All I know is I'm happy about there being a strong chance that POD is coming back! :smile:

Apparently, according to Al Lutz's latest article at MiceAge.com (MiceAge.com - A different look at Disney...; scroll down towards the bottom), there is a rumor that Peter Pan's Flight will actually get some much needed care, a new refurbishment and some new boats, as was rumored for a few years now.

The good news is, in addition to its usual clean-up and freshening-up jobs, there will indeed be new ride vehicles in the form of the boats that have always been used. The bad news is, they are likely not to be the expensive new boats with double rows of seats (a la Disneyland Paris). However, the new boats have apparently been designed to carry more weight and will have noticeably wider seats to accommodate ever-growing 21st century rear ends.

Of course, it still remains to be seen if the chassis for the ships will be replaced.

Well, been reading some forums, and they say that Remember... Dreams Come True's replacement is going to have the name of...



Then again, it's just a rumor, which, they say, it might Debut this summer.

Has Anybody Else Heard Other Fort Wilderness Rumors

Before I start, I'd like to make note that I got this from Wikipedia on the PDJ article (so it is not too reliable). This is what it said:

"The Disneyland verison of the ride will possibly close in June 2009, to make room for the Mickey Mouse Revue which should opened in 2011 or 2012."

Anyone heard of this yet?

So on my most recent trip, I was talking to the host of the First 50 Magical Years, and I got into a rather in-depth conversation, and the topic of Tomorrowland was brought up. I asked if a refurb for any rides were scheduled. Not only did he mention a Star Tours refurb, but a Tomorrowland face-lift. He didn't know how grand the face-lift would be, but a face-lift is a face-lift, and I'm not complaining.

He said the Star Tours refurb will consist of digitalizing the video, thus enhancing the picture. He said a possible refurb of the audio system is being considered. He said a re-imagineered transport system that will be far more interactive is a high possibility. But what excited me most is that windows will be added to the side of the transport that will immerse guests even more, making it look as if stars are zipping by as they fly past, and the classic blue lines of light-speed will zip by. I'm really struggling on how to word this... Just know that windows will be added and will immerse you even more! He said some new show elements may be added, and the wait-line will change.

He didn't know specifics, but I was happy to know that change is being thought of, and will come to pass.

Can anyone confirm these, and perhaps explain better??? ;)

I'm not sure how reliable this is (and I hope it's not true), but I heard that Abe is coming back to the Opera House some time next year. Good, right? But the set-up for the show is that he'll be sitting on stage talking to Obama.

So we'll have an animatronic Obama on Main Street. :confused:
