This is my first posting, never realized there was a forum. So on top of all the expansion in Tomorrowland coming in the months ahead, loosing Finding Nemo, Innovations, and whatever else they deemed needs to go for a new experience, Calif Adventure is getting another addition. It is currently rumored to go behind the Tower of Terror and Bugs Life. There is a huge gate between Carsland and Bugsland where there is a Cast Member area which is pretty big. The idea is that CM area will be converted to Rockin Roller Coaster, no word on if it will remain Aerosmith or if a new band will be featured. Still no word on if Muppets will be taking a hike or remaining. The Hollywood backlot area has lots of potential, but remains largely under utilized. Hyperion will also be getting either a Toy Story or Cars themed stage show.

I know you gotta take the information from Miceage with a grain of salt, but I for one really hope this is true!! We LOVE Tron and my little boy is the biggest Tron fan ever (his bday theme this year was TRON, LOL)! I think the theme would totally fit in Tomorrowland and I love that it's based on a Disney movie-instead of Marvel. I like Marvel, but I'm not sold on the idea that Marvel belongs in DL........yet. Who knows, Imagineering may totally blow me away with an awesome Marvel attraction. But for now I'm going to hope for a TRON attraction!! And, overall I'm just thrilled they are finally going to give some MUCH needed attention to Tomorrowland:biggrin: Now, I wish they would hurry up and announce the plans! The suspense is killing me!

A) replace tomorrowland with "star wars land" (or whatever they would end up calling it).

Or

B) add more star wars elements to tomorrowland (but not rename it).

Now of course this shouldn't be taken as written in stone but it sounds very possible/probable since they now own star wars.

ANYWAY, my Imagineer source recently told me he worked with Disney over the summer developing an overhauling theme for Autopia to Star Wars, more specifically Pod Racers. Now, when he first told me I took it with a grain of salt, but now that Disney has full controlling rights to the Star Wars universe it now may not be so farfetched. I have heard from other corners of the web the next project for Disneyland post DCA overhaul was to address Tomorrowland and the Big Thunder Ranch area. What do you all think of this possible change? I actually heard about this when I was at the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco a couple weeks ago, by way of some of the employees near the great big scale model of Disneyland they have there.

Now, if what they're saying is true, and the show actually does return to California about four years out, then that would put the show at the park in 2015, the time of Disneyland's 60th anniversary. That would certainly make a good attraction for the park, especially during its diamond jubilee. As for the show in Florida, that version will be spared, and they will be duplicating the show for California rather than re-relocate the show to California from Florida.
