Hey everyone this my first thread and so the topic of this thread is Dear Walt. What you do is say Dear Walt and then anything you want to say about the park or him in commemoration to him. I'll start.

Dear Mr. Disney,
Disneyland truly will not be complete as long as there is still imagination left in the world

Dear Walt,

You made so many wonderful films in your lifetime, and to this day people still enjoy them. You also built a magical park (Disneyland) and I love every minute I'm there! Thank you!!

Dear Walt,
Life on this planet is short and you managed to do great things with the time that was given to you. As a man you're a legend and a hero to many people all over the world. As a symbol you are what all people should aspire to be, you used your imagination to create something that all ages, races and creeds can enjoy, and if every body had an imagination like yours and the belief that they can do the impossible the world would be a better place. I truly do believe this. The most I can offer to you is my thanks and my patronage and my love of everything that you created. Thank you Sir., for ever thing that you do and everything you've done. You made it possible for me to not just dream, but dream big.
Sincerely,
Matthew A.

A bit off topic but this is one of the best Topics I have ever seen. Kudos to you Disneylandfan#1.

Dear Walt,

Thank you for raising the bar. In theme parks, animation, customer service, entertainment, and so much more. So many people don't realize what that means anymore. So feel free to come back down and kick some sense into those who need it.

Sincerely,
Your Admirers

Dear Walt,
Thank you for all of the wonderful things you did for the entertainment industry:

Thanks for popularizing Technicolor, and thanks for being such a perfectionist about color. The movies wouldn't be as dazzling as they are without you.
Thanks for turning the simple cartoon format into Art with a capital A, inventing the multi-plane camera and advancing Xerography.
Thanks for popularizing Widescreen movies, and for creating stereo and multi-channel soundtracks. You had a hand in that, too.
Thanks for making the early days of television so fascinating, and making every Sunday Night a must-see event.
Thanks for developing blue-screen technology.
Thanks for turning the seedy amusement park experience into a glamourous adventure, for prompting the invention of the steel-tube roller coaster, for plussing I don't know how many ride technologies.

Also thanks for improving so many other things in our lives. Thank you for you optimistic vision of a better life for the future, and all the things you have done to help bring that about:

Thanks for low floor trains, streetcars and busses that we can just walk on without having to climb stairs. If your imagineers hadn't invented the PeopleMover, perhaps no-one would have thought of it.
Thanks for all those moving walkways and speedramps we have in the big airports. And probably the parking lot trams too.

I think if I continued listing things like this, I may never stop typing....

Most of all, thanks for placing real human values higher than material values. Thanks for believing in us. We are all very, very grateful.
Sincerely,
Ezra

Dear Walt,
I never really cared about you as a kid because I never knew that Walt Disney was a guy. I wish that you would of been alive longer because of the amazing rides Disneyland could of gotten if you were still here. Anyway byez.

P.S. I wish you could have lived longer too. I wanted to live in the Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow when I grew up. I know you would have found a way to complete it. ~Ez

Dear Walt,
Thank you for having the courage to follow your dreams. Your dreams have become my source of joy and inspiration, and for that I will be eternally grateful.
Sometimes I wonder how I will get through the ugliness in this world, and all I have to do is think of a memory from Disneyland, watch a Disney movie, or listen to a Disney song to bring a smile to my face. Thank you for letting me release my inner child, and for making Disneyland my happiest place on earth.
Forever thankful,
disneylover

Dear Walt,

Thank you for the wonderful gift of Disneyland.

I am raising the fourth generation of Disneyland lovers and I have enjoyed every minute f it. I have been able to share all the little things that make Disneyland so wonderful, not just the attractions. Whenever my 4 year old grand daughter sees you she says, "Thank you Walt for giving us our Disneyland."

I met Marty Sklar recently. What a great man. He seems to truly love this magical place and cares about it very much.

You are a great man with a great legacy.

Thanks for everything.

Jen

PS Sorry about the whole Eisner thing, we got him as fast as we could.
