I thought this was just one of those teacup style rides themed to cars, that is going in the new kid zone at Disney Studios, along with the Finding Nemo coaster. Or is this a different ride?

you guys are making a huge deal out of nothing. this ride isnt anything special at all. Its the same exact thing as the ladybug spin ride or whatever its called at DCA just with a much better theme. Insted of ladybugs you are in cars and you are spinning on dirt (fake dirt) infront of the radiator springs gas station. Its not gonna be a test track ride lol.

Thank God, it is not at Walt's Disneyland.

Yea, the last thing we need is another Pixar-Themed ride

In my opinion this is a prime example of you all being a little narrow minded on the other parks. Every disney park is as much Walts dream as disneyland IMO. (Go on flame me....:icon_roll )
ANYWAY back on topic.
Yeah this cars ride isnt anything special. Its Crush's Turtle Twister thats special!

Well some people are expressing dissapointment over yet another movie-based theme. That's not being narrow-minded, that's being fed-up over Disney's narrow-mindedness. And the more narrow-minded they get, the further from Walt's dream they get. Might want to think about that.

I don't like Nasscar if thats what you saying. I know that the WDW vs. DLR bashing has been going on forever (what Disney fan doesn't!), but I am just telling all Don't Bash WDW if you haven't been!!!. I haven't been to DL and I've never bashed DLR! I mean common its Disney and thats all that should matter!!

I agree with them that far!

True, true, it's just all this 'Thank god its not in walts disneyland'. For some reason it just annoyed me slightly!
Hey-ho!

I wouldnt be against it at DCA. they could use some new attractions, even if they are kiddie ones.... lots of wasted space over there. they could make it a little more creative though...

Since this thread's been bumped up now, the title's really in need of some tweaking as it is rather misleading.

I don't think its neccessarily Disney's narrowmindedness, but rather thier laziness.
I wish that more creative attractions like Journey to the Center of the Earth were built. That's a prime example of using one of Disney's ride systems (same one, infact, as Cars and Test Track) and doing something completely with it. And I don't think it has to do anything with Walt's dream. Rather, I would look at it as the current management's dreams. Why do they put forth an attraction sprung from a Disney movie when they can come up with a completely new idea and do something great? There was a time when Disney was 10 years ahead of any other theme park in the industry because they wanted to push the envelope of technology and be the people to do things first. But now, its more of a focus on whatever will get people in those gates, as appose to whatever will impress those people within the gates.
Its going to be like the Moster inc ride because it will have autoanmictronics on it and that is what alot of Disneyland rides are like
