There have been rumors about a proposed "land" on the 20k location where the 20,000 leagues under the sea ride once was in Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom at WDW. I have an idea of what that land will soon contain... Villain Land. This land of course is not in construction right now since Pooh's Playful Spot is inhabiting the area but the land will be set up somewhat like this.....
An eerie town with a coblestone path and shops on both sides that contain Disney Villain merchandises. There will be a few fast food joints and one sit down restaurant called "The Poison Apple." As for rides (possibly 3 small rides with one large ride) there might be a few dark rides such as "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Escape from the Witches Castle" (A Pricess/Evil Queen Type Ride) and at the end of the land a dark mountain will stand over the town....Villain Mountain.
An E-Ticket attraction taking riders on an adventure to escape the Disney Villains. The Genie from Aladdin assists the riders in their journey. The vehicles are the same type as the Indiana Jones/CTX vehicles. They are in the shape of Aladdin?s Magic Carpet. Basically you are visting the Magic Kingdom Museum of Art when things go terribly wrong. Malecifent and all the other villains are awakened in the "Villains Exhibit" and youu are now their prisoners! But genie comes to the rescue and helps you ecape by riding a magic carpet. The carpet will take you through numorous scenes featuring villains until you have a final battle with Malecifent as the dragon! But in the end, good wins over evil.

Of course this is just an idea and I will add more info about the land as time goes on. Tell me what you think!:p

they were actually going to add a land like that near disneyland but they thought it would be too scary for younger kids

I think I'm also going to add an extra attration. A virtual reality ride themed to Chernabog and his mountain. Tell me if you want a different type of virtual reality ride. Thanks!

i had an idea for a new fireworks show where the villians take over the castle...

i love that idea...maybe the villians dont need the genie to be foiled, perhaps they come to their own cummupance in a struggle for power?
i had an idea like this, only it took place in the evil queens castle, and she is calling the villians(like in fantasmic i know, but i designed it to be the third park in dlrp) and so on.
another villians ride i can think of is, an ursula "octopus type" ride, where you sit in a pearl in one of her tenticles and you spin round...

I love Disneyland, but it was built in a time when even adults were thrilled by simple animatronics. Imaginears (that's the proper spelling, kids... it focuses on Mickey's prominent lobes, though they don't spell it that way in public reference due to confusion,) have been very careful in the content of rides.

My opinion? Disney created these villains, and their movies are living proof that even kids like them. Still, I think there should be an age warning for the little ones. No need to clean the cars every hour!

I would love to see a villain LAND, not just a ride. To be honest, I'm creating a virtual Theme Park online (web address is mernoir.com, down from hosting at the moment due to a re-design,) and I LOVE my Malrevv (pseudo-french for nightmare/bad dream) area. Fears as well as dreams are equally interesting and exciting.

Honestly, if you ask me, the reason Disney has experienced attendance problems (aside from events like the 50th anniversary,) is parks like Universal and Knotts Berry Farms (was that recently renamed? I don't live in SoCal.) Their rides are very exciting, and geared according to certain demographics. The rides in DL are geared toward kids/families and pre-teens. Even Indiana Jones didn't quite do it for me. I LOVED the ride, don't get my wrong, but it wasn't why I WENT. THAT is the point.

A villain land would be excellent! If the entire land was full of 'scary' or 'thrilling' attractions, it would be like Pleasure Island in WDW. People just KNOW not to take their kids there, at least not under 12,13 in this instance.

My Proposed Rides:

The Wrath of Maleficent:
Event coaster. Travel through Maleficent's castle to rescue Aurora, with her demons on your trail. At the centre tower, battle the dragon and save the princess.

Hades' Underworld:
Follow Hercules on a quest to save Megora. Begin in beautiful Olympus (forsake the storyline) and enter the Underworld. Zoom around the Hydra, battle the titans. Enter a *very* large room (or at least make it LOOK huge,) and save Megora's soul from the swirling dead.

Rasputin's Curse: *note, not a Disney movie, but I believe it's Warner Bros.? (recently merged with Disney, right?) If not, oh well. I'll dream it up anyway. :)
Begin in the Parisian Embassy. Bartok tells you of Rasputin's plan. Follow Anastasia through the pit of rigor. Locate the relic and fight Rasputin for it.

Jack the Pumpkin King!:*note: not to take away from HMH... NightBChrist is under represented in my eyes...
Jack invites you to test his new "Scream Chamber." On the way you find frights and coaster-like dips. Something goes wrong! Oogie has altered the chamber. You roll through his roulette wheel (downward coaster helix,) and fall through the center. Next you see Jack undo Oogie's thread and continue back to the cue.

Cave of Wonders
Event Coaster. It's not the same ... someone has replaced Genie's lamp with Jafar's! You escape the many perils of the cave, only to rub the lamp and awaken the Red Genie! He causes the cave to crumble, trying to trap you inside. You ride your magic carpet to the entrance, only to be confronted again! Ingeniously, Aladdin rubs the evil lamp, Genie throws it to the sands, and you are saved!

Comments? Hehe
That was fun. :)

I think it was this board last year before it was refreshed, or when it was Disneyland Source, but i remember a topic with a long (and i do mean long!) and detailed description of everything you see, smell, and experience at Villain Mountain, with that exact same plot. It almost inspired me to write an attraction of my own in that same fashion. I want to read that again. Was that you, mrsix24?

To pdxoracle-
All great ideas!! But we can still put rides that kids/families will enjoy as well. I'm not saying that we should take out your ideas...because they are very good! I'm saying we even it out! The Magic Kingdom is suppose to be for FAMILIES in general! I'm not saying I don't like rollar coasters! But I think we should include things that everyone will enjoy.

And to sTiLLaDiSnEyKiD-
I am actually the person who inspired the person to write that. This was oringinally my idea but through forums I told a former imagineer to create a dark ride based on villains he had said he was designing ride similar to that so together we worked together via email/forums on this ride but unfortunately the ride has not been put up! But hopefully someday they will! Heres the Villain Mountain site- http://www.villainmountain.com/ FYI the site is not updated so some of the news about the park is OLD. Thanks for your comments ppl!!

You spelled Imagineers wrong. It's the combination of Imagination and Engineering.

I like these ideas!

The best part of Aladdin was the Cave of Wonders sequence (visually). There was a ride called Cave of Wonders (or something close to it), I believe it used to be at Six Flags over Texas. I haven't been there for years - no idea if it's still there. (Of course, it wasn't Disney-oriented).

Here's my version of Villain Land

The land is to be called Villain Studios and will be at Disney-MGM Studios (which by now would've been changed back due to popular request; but still this is fiction) to be placed in the spot with Lights, Motors, Action! and some of the area around it. It is to have 5 attractions:The Cave of Wonders Experience, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Night on Bald Mountain:The Ride!, The Wrath of The Horned King:A Black Cauldron Adventure, and Escape the Villains!. Most of these attractions, except for Nightmare, will have height requirements.

1.The Cave of Wonders Experience

This attraction is a themed suspended coaster themed to the Cave of Wonders from Aladdin.

We enter the indoor queuing area which is located in bustling marketplace of Agrabah. Citizens are buying curios at different stands, and some merchants are trying to haggle with us via a technology used with Mr. Potato Head in Toy Story Mania. Eventually, we pass the town-crazy, who warns of an evil called the Cave of Wonders. Being the town-crazy, he has little respect and attention from the citizens. However, we soon go down the wrong path and end up at the Cave. As we go inside it says, "Who dares disturb my slumber?". We proceed up some staircases and soon reach the loading area, where we board and 8-person carpet, suspended from the ceiling to simulate flying. After settling in and putting our belongings in the storage pouch in front of us, we set off. As we climb up the lift hill, the Cave is heard saying the safety spiel:

Cave:Attention visitors! Touch nothing if you want to be safe! So remain seated with your hands, arms, feet and legs inside at all times. And watch your children to make sure they don't touch anything. Proceed!

We leave the lift hill and pass through a smaller likeness of the Cave's exterior and enter a cavern with jewels embedded in the rock. We leave this room and enter a treasure room with many golden curios, treasures, and royal objects. We leave here and go into a room with a couple idols. We then see an AA Abu looking in awe at a diamond being held by a monkey idol. His pupils are replaced with diamonds like in the film and his hand is reaching for the diamond. He touches it and the Cave shouts, "Intruders!" and Abu gives a little "uh oh". We then see falling rocks and magma as the Cave says, "You have touched the forbidden treasure! Now you will never again see the light of day!". We turn past here and start the coaster segment, which is in a large room with falling rocks and lava below as fast-paced versions of "One Jump Ahead" and "Friend Like Me" play. Eventually, we escape the Cave before it disintegrates into the sand. It is now night in Agrabah and we exit out to our right at a couple stands. You must be 40" tall to ride.

2.The Nightmare Before Christmas

This is a dark ride through the movie in a pumpkin cart

We enter the queue inside to a wooden-like room where the line continues. On the walls are the changing portraits found in HMH, except the one with the mansion is replaced with nice as Santa peeking out of the chimney with good presents and a Christmas tree, and bad as Jack peeking out with evil toys and a dead Christmas tree. Periodically throughout the room, Dr. Finklestien is heard doing the safety spiel:

Dr. Finklestien:Welcome, curious friends. For your safety, remain seated with your hands, arms, feet, legs, bones, tentacles, and heads inside your pumpkin cart. And watch your children. Have a frightfully good time.

We then go into the loading area, which has a mural of all the doors except the Halloween one. The narration from the opening of the film is repeatedly played. Once boarded in our 6-person pumpkin cart, we go through the Halloween door which is in front of us. The music begins and we turn a corner and pass the scarecrow, who turns around in the direction we want. We go through a couple doors and enter Halloweentown, where "This is Halloween" plays. The first thing we see is the Clown who tears off his face. We then pass some cartoon ghosts who are singing the song. We then see Finklestien restraining Sally as he says, "You're not ready for so much excitement!" to which Sally responds, "Yes I am!".

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
We turn and see the Mayor on his Mayor-Mobile. His face is done the same way as Leota in HM. He says, "Great Halloween, Jack! Jack?". His face switches and he says, "Where is he?!". We then see his shadow say, "Jaaaaack?! Answer me!" and fall. We then find Jack and Zero atop Spiral Hill as he sings, "Oh somewhere deep inside of these bones/an emptiness began to grow/there's something out there far from my home/a longing that I've never known." We go through some doors painted to look the entrance to the forest, and see Jack in the midst of the holiday trees as he says, "What is this?". We then turn into a video tunnel designed to make it look like we're falling down the Christmastown portal. We exit the tunnel into Christmastown as he sings "What's This?". We enter the doors of a house and end up in Halloweentown, where Jack is on a snowmobile and everyone is happy to see him. The Mayor, again on his Mayor-Mobile, says, "Where *have* you been?", and Jack answers with, "Call a town meeting and I'll tell everyone all about it!". We then enter the town hall, where all of Halloweentown is scattered in seats and Jack is on the stage. His Christmastown artifacts are up on the stage, and he holds a cookie resembling the Christmas door. He says, "Beyond this door is a world the likes of which you've never seen!." We exit out of the hall into the night and see Sally in front of Jack's house, looking in fright as a forget-me-not that looks like a Christmas tree bursts into flame. The effect is done with the Pepper's Ghost effect. The scene switches to day where the vampires are outside Jack's house as they sing, "Some thing's up with Jack/Some thing's up with Jack/Don't know if we're ever going to get him back.". Jack appears in his window and says, "This year, Christmas will be OURS!". We pass through doors painted to look like gates and pass through the town as everyone prepares and sings "Making Christmas". The version that plays is Elfman's demo. We soon see Jack in a corner with a cross-fingered Lock, Shock, and Barrel, and the music changes to the "Kidnap the Sandy Claws" music played in HMH's portrait hall. He tells them, "The job I have for you is *Top Secret*!". We turn into a dark room where the threesome pop down from the ceiling with a large bag and shout, "Trick or Treat!". We go through the bag and arrive back in Halloweentown where Jack, dressed in his "Sandy" outfit, tells Santa, who is in the bathtub, "You won't need to have another worry about Christmas this year!". We then go behind a wall where Sally is seen saying, "This all seems wrong to me, very wrong.". We go through some doors into Oogie's Lair as he tells a bound and gagged Santa, "Well, hello, 'Sandy Claws'! Are you feelin' a bit hungry? 'Cause I am!" and he gives an evil laugh. We exit through an Iron Maiden and see Jack with his sleigh team of skeletal reindeer and Zero flying in the sky. We then see an animated Jack drop presents into houses, each resulting in lights coming on with a scream. We then enter a military base where fire forces are attempting to shoot Jack down and eventually do. As he falls, Jack says, "Merry Christmas to all, and to
all a good night!". We enter a graveyard where Jack lies, battered and worn, on a tombstone where he says, "What have I done?! I am the Pumpkin King! Uh oh, Sandy Claws!". We exit out of the graveyard into Oogie's Lair again, where he attempts to stop Jack as a captive Santa and Sally watch. Jack pulls a string from Oogie as he says, "How dare you treat my friends so shamefully?!?!". We go into a dark room as Oogie is unraveled and shouts, "My bugs! My bugs!". We go through some black doors into Halloweentown where everyone cheers as Jack returns. Santa then flies by in the sky shouting, "Happy Halloween!" and spreads snow on the town. We then go to a snow covered Spiral Hill as Jack and Sally stand atop it singing, "For, it is plain/as anyone can see/we're simply meant to be.". We go through Spiral Hill where we see Zero holding a sign that says "Goodbye" on it, and exit to our left at the unloading area.

3.Night on Bald Mountain:The Ride!

This is a log ride through and around Bald Mountain with a 40' drop

The exterior is the same as Bald Mountain in the film complete with an AA Chernabog on top. The only difference is it has a drop coming down and some little canals going in and out. The queue starts outside under an awning where Fantasia is being filmed. Once we enter the building, we're in a preshow room where Alan Menken and Yensid are on a screen. They welcome us and then go on to explain the process of making music in a movie. They then tell us that Fantasia is being filmed right here in the studios and that we are invited to join in the film. Menken then asks to roll some clips of the next segment being filmed, and scenes from Night on Bald Mountain play. Menken is nervous to send us into this segment, but Yensid says they will have to, because we were promised an appearance and will get one. Menken reluctantly sends us into the loading area, and reminds us to be careful. We exit the room into the base of Bald Mountain where we board our 6-7 person log. These are like the ones on DL's Splash Mountain except for no Brer Rabbit face, no nail, and the logs are black. After boarding the log, we go up a 2 story hill and Chernabog does the safety spiel:

Chernabog:Welcome. I am Chernabog, Master of All Evil Spirits. And remember, the spirits will materialize only if you remain quietly seated with your hands, arms, feet and legs inside at all times. And, do watch your children.

The log comes off the hill and we turn through a tunnel. At this point, the Bald Mountain music starts to play. We come out and around the mountain until we go back inside. This time, spirits are projected on to the walls as they
are summoned by Chernabog. We leave the mountain again, take a turn, and go back inside, where more spirits are being summoned. We go outside again, turn, and enter the middle of the mountain, where we climb another 2-story hill. This time, spirits are flying all around the tunnel walls than just one. We reach the top of the hill, and go down a 40' drop into a black lagoon. We stop at a station in the lagoon and into a picture room similar to the one in Splash Mountain. However, instead of pictures you can by at a price, these are for videos you can buy for free. Memorize the number and go into the gift shop where you'll get a video of you on the ride taken from cameras scattered around and inside the mountain. The video matches your ride with the Bald Mountain score. You must be 40" to ride.

4.The Wrath of The Horned King:A Black Cauldron Adventure

This is a themed roller coaster where guests try to escape the evil Horned King

The indoor queue begins at the farm where Tarran is assistant pig-keeper. However, as we continue on, the clouds begin to grow dark. Soon, we reach the Horned King's castle. At this point, the opening narration repeatedly plays. We enter the castle where we go into the loading area. The 24-person trains are made of six 4-person cars themed to look like cauldrons. As we board, Creeper does the safety spiel:

Creeper:Welcome, fools! Unless you want a friendship with His Greatness, stay seated and keep your hands, arms, feet and legs inside at all times. And watch your younger victims. Good luck! Heeheeheehee!

After getting settled in and putting our belongings in the pouch in front of us, the cauldrons set off into a dark hallway. We turn a corner and see Tarran. We stop and Tarran says, "Get out of here! The Horned King is after you! Go left! Go left!". We go to the left and see a doorway that goes out. But, it closes and we stop once again. The room goes in flame and the Horned King's huge face appears projected on the wall. He laughs and says, "Fools! You have fallen into my trap! Now you will face the wrath of the Black Cauldron!". The floor seems to break away like on IJA at DL. We enter a large pitch black room where the coaster begins. After a few minutes of coastering in the dark, we enter a room where we see the Horned King shouting, "Noooooooooooo!" and disappearing in a cloud of smoke. We turn a corner and are once again on Tarran's farm where he says, "Good job! You made it! But remember, next time, you might not be so lucky.". We then enter his barn where we see Gurgi hiding under a bed. We unload and head back into the studios. You must be 44" tall to ride and may not want to let younger children ride

We now reach the final attraction:

5.Escape the Villains!

This ride is basically the exact same as the Villain Mountain ride, except instead of MK, they want to take over the studios:

Kronk wants Rock 'n' Roller Coaster

Mim mentions Woody and Pixar Place

John and Hiss talk about Tatooine Traders and the Indiana Jones show

Medusa wants a boat spot in Echo lake

Ratigan wants The Art of Disney Animation building

Gaston and Lefou want the Great Movie Ride with a room that looks over Playhouse Disney

Silver wants Echo Lake and seeks Star Tours
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
So there ya have it!
That's Villain Studios!
Hopefully it will be success with guests and people who want Villain Mountain.
Lights, Motors, Action! will be used in an expansion of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure where the elements are toys.

Thank you for reading

That was fun. :)

Do you know anything about Disney films. Anastasia was made by Don Bluth who left disney because he thought they couldn't make magic anymore. He is one of the reasons that the black cauldron failed. And Warner Bros. is still its own company. Other than that I love your ideas.

WOW THESE ARE EXELLENT IDEAS(yea even tho I am not a Dis. villan fan)!!!!!!! Since yall have had come up with some ideas for rides for this place.

1.Yzma's Secret Lab Coaster
I imagine it as a pretty crazy coaster(just like the movie, except the hole "Pull the lever Kronk!"). Once you get off, you would make your way to what would look like Yzma's secret lab, but it ll be a gift shop with "get your pics. booth!" from the ride.

2. Esape Kaa's Coils Coaster
This would be a coaster that you would ride in which the carts you ride in would be Kaa so its like your in his coils. This would be a crazy coaster as well. So your going though the Indian jungle until, you run into Kaa. He might say something like:"Sssssssaay now, what have we here? Its ssssssome guesssstsssss! Time to invite them for ssssssssupper!". Then he starts to hypnotize you while your trying to esape, Kaa has you going through serves and curves as Kaa tries to sing and hypnotize you. For the end , you just some how make your way out of his coils.

3. Randall's Hide and Go Seek
This would probely be more of a game. You try to stop Randall from kidnaping Boo, just by boping Randall silly, while Randall disapears so you have to keep a sharp eye out for him.
