I know my big thunder wasn't too good, but that was probably my most difficult project. And since i like to make original ideas (unlike disney in some cases) i am making an under ground (maybe) robotics test facility. You could call this test track, but basicly this sends a robot coaster through a testing facility. Obsticals,
and other things to test the robot. And you are the crash test dummies. Basicly these robots are being tested to do industirial activity but need to be tested, that way the manufacture can decided what the robots job can be. I may change that story but you probaly want to see pictures, or your doing what i do sometimes and you read the first few sentacnes and then scroll down for the pictures. Anyway here are the pictures i have so far.

Ok well i uploaded a little teaser video that i made, its kind of corny but the camera work was a wee bit difficult but it looks pretty good. I even made sure there wasn't a swear word in the upload link like there was with my thunder mountain, the bad word blcoker blocked it. I think thats funny, anyway

^^this is a new "virtual gird" that will measeure and calculate distance speed and all that. It looks cool but it took me about ten minutes to make. If i make another one it'd only take about five, and i don't know if i want to do that.

The reason you can't see the horizontal lasers is becuause in all the tests the goal of the robot is to keep the rider flat at all times. That sounds like a boring ride but the robot will "Fail" some tests. Anyway because of that it you can't see the horozontal lasers, and i do plan to try to fix that. The robots need a wide space so i can't really place the lasers domes where i want to place them

Also there is a sign that says IS Data Sufficent? then it says YES and NO below that and if its yes the lasers projects a check if its not it will project an X

Ok well i spent to much time on vmk! lol Anyway this teaser i made today goes along with a hacker (no actually codes or terms used) who tries to get some info before the opening to the public of the test course. He gets some info and then finds himself at doom to the robots (i didn't include that scece lol) Don't worry it works, it is black for a few seconds but you will start to here the sound eventually. Ok i just bought a mic so i could do voice recognition on my new computer but it disapeared after it updated. Like when you turn it off it installs updates. My mom
got a new laptop to and its gone as well. I did have it before but i didn't have the mic. Anyway i have been writing script for the ride so its not just music. I already recorded the full ride of what i have which is two tests. Anyway thats whats up. I think im finally going to see cars so...
Anyway i have written some text to go along with the story, and my mic chord is long and i have a audio editor (audacity) anyway Veronica is your british guide with the accent. My sister is good with the brit accent. Anyway she is going to be a frosh at NAU (northern Arizona University) next year so she sounds like an adult in the clip. Also i have some cool effects such as echo that im going to use. I was going to do the voice but she was curious what i was doing and wanted to help. Anyway thats the update!

Ok here are some pics of the "bendy twisty test" LOL i haven't gotten an exact name yet. Anyway this is going to be a VF exclusive for a day or two since i get more comments here :) LOL
Anyway i think its the bend and lift test. BC the lift means the robo has to keep you flat and that of course means that it has to move you up so you don't hit the lift!

^^Here is the overview of the entire section Also it goes into a tunnel and does banks. Just a bank left straight then bank right straight which is hard for the robot. And its pretty bumpy lol BTW that tunnel is at the top and the second lift is in the middle.

You were supposed to go to the wind resticance test but the track was switched and put you in the fire test. Anyways pictures coming soon!

No i don't i have been in san antonio for a luthrean convention for five days. I get back and i have a sinus infection and a yea i flew there so when we were making the first decent my ears were popping like crazy. Like im mean it hurt like someon was stabbing me. I wanted to scream but that'd be stupid. And i have been back for five hours and they still hurt and everything is alot quiter. It sucks so no updates yet. Soon i have another section with flame throwers mentioned above and i almsost have they synchcronization done. Anyways thats it for now

^^BTW i was chewing gum yawning and pluging my nose and try to blow air through it. It kinda helped but it still hurt because of the sinus infection my head was already pressureized.
ANyways im finished with the curvy lifty thingy. I haven't gotten any farther and i really hope to get some pics up of the flame thing. BUt im going to go and work on SP^CE Mountain!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!! I just downloaded DRP's tubes and they have all kinds of awsome tubes star tubes and omg its awesome.

This was a difficlut camera route for me. Because the coaster changed speeds. And so did the camera. So i had to move some around which caused it to go to one camra before it went to another. Like it went like 12346578109 so it was really messed up so i had to delete some. It did follow the robot to the top of the lift hill but that got delted at the top. Again this was a preview and Press ppl were filiming it not me LOL

This project is indeed next on my list! In other words this project is now numero uno on my list of projects, (which is an extremly long list with question marks at the end of all the projects cept this one!)

Anyways back on subject, This is coming back. And its going to be the first ride with voice. Yep thats right voice! and its not my ugly voice its the computers! Im using a program that sends a code to the computer, and enables the computer to talk. I can adjust the pitch and such, and it took a while but i finnaly got something that you can understand, it still isn't very understandable, but about 95 percent is understandable. I may do subtitles but that will take a long time to do. Anyways Im also thinking of changing the name of this thing. RTF is the corniest name i've ever heard so im going to change it but to what idk. Anyways i recently had to do a system recovery on my computer, because the laungauge settings got messed up and the keyboard didn't work. And it wasn't a problem with the keyboard, anywho i haven't had time to reload RCT3, and don't worry i still have all my files, i just gotta put RCT3 on there, also it'd be nice if someone would give me the options.txt cheat, just go in yours and copy and paste it, bc the atari ppl aren't too smart with the options.txt and i know a few of u have it bc i gave it to some of u. Anyways of course the completion date is far far away, bc of school, and this semsester already seems like its going to be harder. Anyways Please give me a few names, that still incorporates robots and such...
Hmm just thought of something... How bout the IRE Institute of Robotic Engineering... yea i think that works it can be an institute and they go and test out the robots on there crash course. I have the Drop test, the speed and force test, the tight turn test, and then something goes wrong. And you go through the furnace that was off but is hacked and turned on. I know a few of u are wondering why its there in the first place, its there for non-human testing. I want to do a few more tests but i can't think of anything else. So let me know. I'll have pix in a few days

3...2...1...CLEAR! We got a pulse! I'm glad to see this back up at the top of the ryguy list. There is a program that you can quickly download that will install the option.txt cheats for you. I will get you a link. I like the new name as well. What kinda tests do you have?

Ok, First is the VDT test Vertical Drop Test, The track goes down a drop. The robot has been programed to keep whatever its carrying level and away from danger. U know that just gave me another idea....
Anyway on the drop it basicly keeps the rider leveled while it falls into a grid of green lasers measuring its exact location. I plan to add lasers into the other tests but haven't gotten there yet.

Next you go into a small room and there is a billboard that i made in paint that says, Is data sufficnet, and there is a Yes and a No then a laser then makes a check mark under the Yes, it took a while to do that laser + billboard so chances are im going to remove it. Next test is Speed and force test. It launches the robot down the track, and into a tunnel. Air compressors and many other things line the tarck helping to Boost the robot. Then it goes over a Huge hill and down. A bunny hill, creating what all coaster fans love, AIR TIME!!! Next it slows down and goes up a hill and then back down going over track that bends. U know how u start off a helix, by banking it, well the track banks left and right, its going straight. Its quite strenous for the robot as its trying to keep u straight. And it doesn't do to well. And unfortunatly some hackers made there way into the computer banks and hacked in. They've been mointering tests, and figured that the computer was more vulnerable during that test, since its telling the robot thousands of things at once. Then they hack it and turn the firey furnace on. It was off since actual people are on the ride. normally its on but in this case it is off. So you go into the furnace, and the robot knows that its cargo is very precious and does everything it can to get you out of harms way. You then go past flame throwers in a differnt room. these also were supposed to be off, but they got in. So the flames are on and the robot reacts. Thats what i got so far, i plan to add lots more. Any ideas would be awesome!

Add a room where water showers down on you, to test strength against water and its resistance to corrosion. Maybe a room where it is very cold to test if it could survive arctic conditions. Thats about all I can think of.

true. Instead say it is to test whether the electronics are safe from the elements. I know they do that to cars. They spray water for 20 minutes to make sure rain water won't get in. Same idea, just with robots.

Ok its update time. I have added another test! It is the Ultra Violet Light Test. This aren't no ordinary UV lights, these are Laser Styled UV lights. It took me about an hour to position the lights, and what a better thing to do when your at home sick and not at school! Anyways there are four different colors, Red, Purple, Blue, And Green, these lasers target the Robot and test if the Electronics are safe against the elements. This test is in the "Elements Center" This is the first test in the Elements center, the second is going under a waterfall, or being sprayed with water jets ( the water jets will look better and idk if i can have the coaster go under the water fall. The final elements test is the Chill Test, The chamber has doors on it and is surrounded by walls full of chilled water, there are also ice machines that drop snow like drops around the area to keep it cold. I only have the UV test right now, but the other tests will be done soon. Im thinking that those tests will be the final tests of the ride, because i can't think of anything else. And now for the pictures! i have two pictures a Day shot of the UV lasers, and a night shot of the UV lasers and the robots.

BTW, i've recently gotten a Trial Version of Sony Vegas! Its freakin amazing! Anyways, instead of saving up for vista, im probably going to save up for vegas. As for the left and right, all of my videos will come out in 5.1 surround sound. Now normal computer speakers don't work to well with 5.1 surround sound, but if you have headphones it comes out better. This feature won't be very recognizeable on Youtube. I will however release a High Quality version of all of my new works, and you can burn it to a DVD and have your surround sound. Or if you have vista and an xbox360 and a wireless internet connection you can send it to your xbox 360 and enjoy on your TV, of course i highly doubt most of you will do that, but you will notice a difference! The clarity of audio on Vegas is very high. I just hope i can finish things before my trial runs out :p

Ok Everyone, This Ride IS COMPLETED!!!!! WOOT!
I have the computers voice done (its not mine its a TTS speech)
And i have it ready to go, all i have to do is record. I added a water test, and a speed test that shoots the car at about 120 mph. Check back soon for the final video! I hope to release it today.

It took me an hour to edit, and three hours to record, but its all worth it.

Wow, just wow. That's pretty amazing. Excellent scenery, incredible lighting, and an original concept make this your best one yet, Ryguy. The computer voice was an nice touch, sure beats subtitles eh? Overall, it was of fantastic performance.

However, besides the "I, Robot" theme at the beginning, the music was beyond awful. Next time, something less synthesized.

^The music was there because what do you think about when you look at a robot? Futurisitic, and many will agree that Techno would be considered Futuristic. But looking back i do agree with you, but i just didn't know what to use. I did plan to use most of the songs from I, Robot, New arrivals, tunnel chase, and i was planning on having a mad scientist take over the "Abondednd" Institute and start it up, he'd also try to kill you but sending you into the furnace. If i used the Rest of the I, Robot soundtrack it wouldn't fit because i don't find a few harmless tests (well harmless for the passengers) to need that music, and i couldn't find anything else, so i scratched that idea. I had a few other ideas i wrote down but there were really stupid. I do hope to bring this back in a " Version two" without the V2 part, and possibly use the mad scientist(s) idea or possibly replace them with an AI device, simmilar in I, Robot, and the Matrix. The reason i didn't do that this time is i'd would need to use a ton of Flying Camera Route shots, and make a better exterrior, and the reason this came out now is becuase i have the trail of sony vegas and it was my last weekend Im glad you liked the scenery and lighting because i really think this ride isn't that great. Im trying to count my playing time in game, and for this project i logged 60 hours, probably my biggest yet! But there are lots of things to change this, to make it look more "Evil" for version two, and i won't use any Electronic music either. Thanks for the comments Frank.
