How long has it been?

Does anyone know how long Disney and Pixar have been working together? I was watching "Beauty & The Beast" and "The Lion King" and some Pixar people were included in the end credits. So, it seems like Disney has been using Pixar animators on its movies even before Pixar started producing its own movies. (???)

I saw a thing on ABC last night before Toy Story started,a nd they said that the Disney/Pixar alliance was formed in 1990. That is when they first started working on Toy Story too.

It's important to know that the people at Pixar didn't start their careers at Pixar. A lot of them, in fact, had their careers at Disney Feature Animation. Disney and Pixar had their first distribution agreement in 1990, that 3-film deal starting with Toy Story. Now with Cars, Disney and Pixar are officially the same company, just different studios. I can't wait to see what comes out from those geniuses!

It just seems right that Disney and Pixar be together, doesn't it?
