I was just wondering if anyone has heard any plans that are in the work for a major new attraction at DLR. I know the submarines are underway, but do you guys know anything else that is being discussed as a possible attraction?

far as i know the nemo ride is coming to disneyland. i took some pictures of the guys working in the lagoon. the pirates will be coming back on june 26th not the 24th.
Unless my mind is drawing a blank, I beleive the only confirmed attraction is the Nemo Ride.
Snow White...An Enchanting Musical will make it's return this summer for a final run.
If I missed something official, please feel free to post here.
Unsubstantiated rumors and this thread will move to the Rumor Mill.

Monorail I think could be included in this as a coming attraction, since we know that's going to happen. The return of the Peoplemover would be a very strong rumor since we can see the clearing of walkway space around where its entrance used to be, but yet still a rumor because the walkway space could also be being done in anticipation of higher traffic due to Nemo Subs.

I was at the park on 4/4 and it looked like they were doing comnstuction to the old people mover line. Maybe they are planning something to be on the old tracks, eh?

Yesterday it looked like it was more focused on planter demolition to reopen the walkway to the left of the Peoplemover station. It's a good step to improve traffic flow to that side for Nemo Subs, and a step forward for Peoplemover's return, but we're still far away from any sense of being sure that Peoplemover is returning.

^ Buzz is where the Rocket Rods line used to be, but the Peoplemover queue was basically just a speedramp right under the tower. There was no need for a huge queue, because it was such a high capacity attraction.

I heard somthing (*NOT OFFICIAL OR CONFIRMED*) on either Mice Age Or Mice Chat that DCA would soon begin construction on an Incredibles ride? It is believable since Disney Just Merged With Pixar?
And off we go to RUMORS!

Because the Incredibles is a rumor & probably is one of those projects on the drawing board that were thought of & then thought better of...

yes i heard of the "Flying Incredibles Rollercoaster" rumor which is on the drawing board "suppositally it si supposed to be built in the parking lot behind hollywood tower of terror...also Toy story dark ride behind Big Thunder.rumor says it will try to make the path from frontierland to fantasyland more welcoming!

Big Thunder Trail is always welcoming to me. It's the least crowded area of the park. :old_wink:
I really hope they don't put a Toy Story ride in there. Frontierland is the last area I want to get invaded by cartoons (even if there's a frontier connection with Woody's Roundup). It doesn't really fit with that part of Fantasyland either.

To make brand new and complete attractions and not based on anything.
Disney need the $$$ to build.

First off. Theres much wrong with that post. Its Incredibles. lol. Second. Its not disneyland that funds these rides. Its the walt disney company. And they have enough money to tear down and rebuild all WDW a few times.

What I don't get is if a movie does bad, and they're thinking up a ride based on that, and the movie bombs, they'll stop working with that idea. I mean, they built splash mountain, and that was based on a movie they're too scared to release on video/dvd, and it's still one of their most successful rides ever. If they can do that, I'm sure they can do very well with making a new non-movie based ride.

I wonder how Disney are going to make a "Cars" ride. I hope it's not going to replace Autopia!
