50th Skull?

I just heard from a friend that on Indy there is a Hidden 50th skull right after the room near the snake. Any word or truth on this?

Never heard of a hidden 50. I know about the sunglasses skull though. Maybe he got them mixed up (?)

No idea but try taking a picture next time you go. You can look later and see if you see anything new.

I'm going to check on this. I don't know if this is treu but it has a Yellow 50th on the skull.

Having just "finished" my collection of Mickey Ear 50 icons, I'd like to know about this, too. As of Monday I have pictures of 52 icons. When I arrived Monday I still needed two (the CM in City Hall assured me two visits ago that on any given day there are 50 in the park. Two that I already had pictures of are no longer there - the spider on the HM and the tree topper on the Christmas tree). I had found one of the two that I needed by my deadline, then had to open my sealed copy of the official map to find the last one. Imagine my surprise when the map listed not one but three that I didn't have! I found one from the map (which gave me 50 plus the two that are gone now) but two others listed - one on the stagecoach in Big Thunder Ranch and one on the "hanging tubs" on Tom Sawyer's Island - no longer exist. The stagecoach has been replaced with a cheesy covered wagon with no icon, and the only "hanging tubs" that I found on that island (and it's not easy to cover that island any more with my arthritic knees) were hanging off of castle rock with no icon. I was assured by one CM that all of the 50 icons are OUTside, and yet the CM in the Opera House assured me that the one that is projected on the theater curtain "counts."

So, while I daresay most of the icons are permanent and outside, it is quite possible that there are others that are moving around the park and may very well be inside of attractions. If there is one in Indy, then I am obsession-bound to get its photo before it moves. Since I am not fond of that ride or its queue, I'd appreciate a heads-up before I go stand in line for it. BTW, it is not listed on the official map that I picked up on Monday, but since there are two others on the official map that no longer exist it obviously is no longer an official map.

My friend Deb & I saw the 50th Mickey out the front when you first get on the cue.
It's in the rope netting.
But that isn't a skull.though.
We had ice-creams!
They were so yum but they melted in the line.
Deb was upset but i said "don't worry we'll get some more from Main Street"

That is an official mickey. I have seen it too.

I was assured by one CM that all of the 50 icons are OUTside, and yet the CM in the Opera House assured me that the one that is projected on the theater curtain "counts."

Remember, the CMs don't always know everything. The 50 Hidden as of last May were 50 in total, in Disneyland, and all were outside. (The curtain was NOT one of the 'official' hidden 50s.) Since the beginning of the 50th celebration some have been removed and others added. The people started counting the ones in the Esplanade, on billboards, etc. I am not sure how many there have been overall.

I am going to crack this rumor once and for all and loop indy as many times possible or ask CM's that work on Indy. Its suppose to be on the left side near the water at the "dip" after the snake room.

I think my point (not well made) was that they keep changing the "official" icons but have not changed the "official" map. [For example, Haunted Mansion is still listed (no spider and CM told me 3/20 they do not have an icon yet since refurb), yet the Dumbo icon is not listed and is definitely an icon. Human and corporate nature being what it is, I'm not surprised that the left and right hands (and all the fingers) are not communicating.] My point was, if the theater curtain IS official, then it's possible there is another interior icon. If all the official icons are OUTside, then barfownz can save himself the trauma (poor baby) of riding Indy until he's seen all three rooms.:old_wink:
