Alright. So what's everyone heard?
What I've heard:
The premeir is being held on June 24th.
Park Opening: 6:30 AM
Park Closing: 5 PM
Celebrity Red Carpet arrivals will be held earlier in the day. ((I was there for POTC:tCotBP, the arrivals start around 11 for 'normal' people, and celebrities start around 2.))

We will be there. It will be right in the middle of ours. They won't have Fantasmic showings from the 18th through the 28th. And I have also heard that the ride won't open the the public until the 25th.

This year the premier won't be open to the public at all. So you can't even see the celebs walk the red carpet. They had a lot of trouble with crowd control 3 years ago for the first one.

They had even more crowd control trouble for May 5th, and July 17th...
are they going to close Disneyland on it's 75th & 100th because of crowd control?
I doubt it.

Hey I don't make the rules haha. I was told this by a castmember I know who works there. Also Disney announced this during a press release.

Guys I heard that TDL's pirates was the same as ours. Is that true? I was sad when I found that out. I really am starting to not like TDL.

^ Yes, it's a clone of Disneyland's, although I'm sure there are some minor differences.

Gosh I hate TDL now. I think we have all these great attractions (HMH, IJA, our Pirates) Ect. Then I find out that they are all at TDL. They try to hard to be the best disney park.

You can tell why the Guiness World Records of 2004 tells that the most visited theme park is Tokyo Disneyland. Because of it's themeing, food, attractions, rides, shows, and the care of the park. It is most consider why it is most popular theme park in Tokyo.
Walt Disney World was second place.
Original Disneyland, CA is third place in the records.
It might change for this year's or will stay the same.
Personally I like TDL, but I love our Disneyland better.

Not really, but sort of. Matt told us that it will be entirely movie-based now.
Many POTC fans and DL fanatics are still mad about the changes to the classic attraction.
It just doesn't make sense at all.

If you're talking in terms of annual visitors, you can't really clump the resorts like that. The Magic Kingdom at WDW gets more visitors than Disneyland park, but (if I remember right) Disneyland get's more visitors than Epcot, MGM, and DAK.

Disneyland (ours) is the most visited park in the world. Meaning for the time of its opening to now.

^ Well having had over a decade or so longer to receive guests, it has a bit of an advantage there. Attendance per year is a much more reliable source for who goes to where the most.
-- PMM
this is true i agree with PMM as times change so do trends and one day certain groups might like this disneyland or that disneyworld better and then the next might not like any disney park or like a different one.
I also think you should look at how many people come from out of town to go to the park. this is more reliable than just attendance. I am sure that all of us here would go to the closest disney park we could.

I just googled all the Disney press releases from the past 4 months (since rumours of the premiere began to surface) and there is NOTHING about the public being kept out this year. I was at the park for the first premiere, and the crowds were not bad at all. The park closed at five that night, and everyone who had purchased entry to Disneyland for the day was allowed into the DCA with their entry. Those who wanted to see the stars lined the red carpet beginning at 8 am, so the lines were very short, and when we left at 5 pm, before the stars began arriving, the only thing that was closed to the public was the rides. Main street was opened for shopping, and the red carpet was lined with people, but it was not out of control. I am not saying that they won't kick everyone out prior to the stars arriving, but as of right now, nothing "official" has been released from Disney about this.

I have my short vacation planned for that weekend and we are going to be at Disneyland at 6:30 am and see how the day goes. I had started a thread about odd hours on June 24th and we discussed some of this. My understanding is that the after 5:00pm portion of that day will be invitation only.
As for crowd control on July 17 of this past year...I was there, in line, all night. We got in line at 11:45pm on the 16th and I can say that it was VERY controlled!! We had no problems all day. It was long waits, but worth every second.

 I can't believe that the premeire with the celebrites isn't going to be open to the public. They have killed my dream of seeing Orlando Bloom at the premiere of my favorite movie. Although, now that I think about it, they probably made this rule because of people who are huge fans of the stars in the movie, the movie itself, or (gasp) both! (Like me:eek:)

Too bad. The only premiere I ever went was the Silent Hill premiere some days ago. It was quite lonely, only 30 people showed up, most of them wanting to see Sean Bean(I wanted to see Jordelle Ferland & Radha Mitchell), who was a no show. Look in my photo update thread in Off-Topic to see the pics of the premiere.
I'm not worried about not being able to see the stars on that day. I can't go anyway as that day is blocked for me. But I would like to see Johnny Depp.

Now hold up This year there not letting guests into Disneyland for the Pirates Of The Carribean worlds end Premere? Wouldn't Disneyland lose money if it didn't let the General Public in for the event? I figure yeah Guests are a big reason for the profits they bring in from there parks. It would make no sense to shut the park down to the General Public and just let those invited and the celebrities only into the premere. now i'm sure they would make money from the celebrities and there guests but they wouldn't make as much as they do any busy weekend. So i think this is just a rumor (I could be wrong) I bought my premium pass just for this event in fact if anything this should be a premium pass event only meaning only those holding premium passes should be allowed to enter the park well them the celebrities and there invited guests thats just my opinion

Disneyland closes early, but will be open that day.
-- PMM
At 5pm all the lands will be cleared of guests except for Main Street, where guests can remain to watch the celebrity arrivals. However, there is only so much room along the red carpet route, and people will camp out there and fill it up fairly early.

The rumours abounded last year that the public would not be allowed to be in the park, but we were actually in the park last year until the last celebrity was rushed by us into the premiere. We walked out of the park at about 9:30 pm. The only thing that they kept the public from was the premiere itself. In fact, they kept tomorrowland and fantasyland open until 8 pm. I would not worry about the Premiere being closed off...they like the public spending money on drinks and gifts!!

So how do we find out if the public IS allowed to be there for the premiere? I don't want to show up, wait all day, and then be sent out; that would really stink.
When I emailed Disneyland, they said they didn't know when the premiere was (which, I'm sure they did) and said the event on the 19th was a "private event". Of course, this is going to be when the premiere is, but how do we know that we can actually be there?
