Hey everyone, im working on a ride based on the broadway hit Wicked. I still need to finissh up the coaster a bit to match the music, then i need to put some fireworks and lazers, and then put up the walls and ceiling. Its going to be great

i just wanted to clear some things up for everyone, the ride is a fast roller coaster ride in the dark, with lazers, fireworks, ect. and it will be to the song Defying Gravity. when you walk into the park you see Shiz University which is were Elphaba and Galinda are attending school. You walk through Shiz and see the beautiful Emerald city and the ride takes place in there

Actually i was having second thoughts to the scenery and whatnot. I was going to make it all black
but its really boring. SO i was wondering if any of you guys had any ideas to what the scenery could be.

I'm glad you are excited about this as much as i am. I am going to include Dear Old Shiz in the Shiz University area, (which includes a foodcourt and siting area) One Short Day for Emerald City Queue, Defying Gravity and For Good on the ride.

Just curious. Have you actually read the book? I've just finished it and it's fascinating. LOTS of ideas for locations and scenery. (You'll never watch Wizard of Oz and enjoy it the same way again!)

@debijean - I have read half of the book, then things got busy, so I should pick it up and read the rest.

@ryguy222 - I used the crystalis from Jcat's Spaceworx (http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=524546)

@Maleficent's Lover - "Popular" is forever playing behind the pink door in the hall of dorms, so I dont think I will include it in the ride. "For Good" will be used at the end of the ride.

Update

So some of you might be wondering what the story of this ride. Well you are in Elphaba's (Wicked Witch) point of view and you go to see the Wizard. You know what all happens next.

I decided not to use a flying type coaster bacause you couldn't see any scenery, so, I'm going to use an extended coaster.

Sorry My Wicked addiction is kicking in... Wicked was originally going to be a movie BUT Stephen Swartez (sp o.O) told the director to see how it would work as a musical. and wut do ya know. there had been much rumor and speculation (wicked line X]) but no real answer from universal.

Creators usually post when they have updates, then they see what ppl say, and then they post back once or twice and they wait till they have another post. Hey everyone,
I just wanted to clear some things up.
No, I'm not giving up on this ride, just recently i got Sims 2 and that game is really really addictive, so thats been what has kept me busy other than RCT3. Well I'll probably jump back into Wicked in the next couple of days. I'm hoping to make the video debut before Christmas, HOPING!!! haha well take care all of you fellow Wicked fans!

Ok, sorry for the double post but I have an update !
Also I'm wondering if any of you know the story of Wicked. Well if you do then you don't need to read the summary below. If you don't, then please read ahead. (There are Spoliers ahead, if you don't want to know what happens in the first half of the musical don't read on)


Wicked is the story of the two witches of Oz, Glinda the good witch and Elphaba (A.K.A. The Wicked Witch of the West) Most of you know the story of Wizard of Oz, where these two character originate. Well basically Wicked is the story that we all know from Elphaba's point of view. The beginning of Wicked takes place where the two witches first meet at Shiz University. Elphaba is an akward green teen, and Galinda, later changed to Glinda for easier pronunciation, for one of her professors, the perfectly popular gal. The two girls end up being bunk roomates even though neither of them like each other. The Headmistress, Madame Morrible soon discovers Elphaba has a great magical talent, and enrolls Elphaba in personal sorcery lessons. There is a new student too, his name is Fiyero, and he's a slack off, him and Glinda get along very well. Glinda is very jealous of Elphaba's talent and Elphaba knows that, and as a way of making peace she aske Madame Morrible to include Glinda in the lessons, and Madame Morrible agrees. Elphaba soon realizes she likes Fiyero too, even though Glinda has already snagged him. Elphaba and Glinda soon become good friends, best friends in fact. Madame Morrible has told Elphaba that the Great Wizard Of Oz heard of her magical talents and wants to meet with her, since her power is so strong. Elphaba agrees to go to see the wizard and has asked Glinda to join her. They both head off to Emerald City, where they are to meet the great Wizard! To Be Continued....
