Hi There,
Do you guys think it would be fun for there to be an actual
"TipTop Club" type Ballroom in the Hollywood Towers, both here and abroad, that could be hired out for weddings, parties, proms, formals, commitment ceremonies, house warmings, business meetings, and 30's themed parties?

I think that would be fun.
You could have your prom in the Hollywood Tower Hotel whilst looking over the Park at night. Then go for a ride.

Hopefully though on the way up no one gets struck by lightning...

/\ they don't stop at the very top where the Tip-top is supposed to be. They stop below the sign.

i would enjoy it. Might be a hassle to get your butts up there.
A few of my friends were joking about that when a friend who said she knew everything about Disneyland (I proved her wrong later during a trivial game) she said that there are Dorms at the very top. I laughed but she took it seriously.

I think it'll be cool to have a room special for parties. But, there will be a problem with sound because you'll be able to hear the screams from the people in a falling elevator and you can hear music and all the other sounds ruining the ride if you're riding the ride. Either way, it will still be cool.

The only problem with it though is that theres no room up there. Many motors for the ToT are up there.

They could host random events there too.
Like launch parties for The Little Mermaid on DVD.
Hey, its got nothing to do with the Hollywood Tower, but then again you can have whatever party you'd want if they had a Ballroom to hire out.

Oh sorry i forgot not everyone has seen the new Tower in Tokyo Disneysea
in Japan.
Yeh it has rooms built in the top most levels for office space apparently.
Or rooms for a Ballroom maybe?
Hey wait a sec, thats a Rumour.
And this is the Rumour Mill.
Pop over to Japan, see their Tower, and then comment.
Its no longer Imagineering when a revolutionary Park has already considered it.

Add A Floor And make it the 13th

Actually they made it 1 foot less than the city regulations so they wouldn't have to put a red flashing light at the top.

Kind of off topic but at WDW you could get the foyer of the HM for parties!

Yeh Disneyland did it too...but for a launch...
They had dining tables in the stretch rooms n stuff.
Fun fun fun.
But much for fun from a "13th" floor I always say.

Yeah, I agree. Only thing though that I thought of would be that maybe they could make The Tip Top Club a restaurant with a 1940s big band orchestra playing. That would be cool! :)

That would be soo cool,I would have like a super sweet 16 up there(like on that show on MTV where the rich kids have huge 16th b-day parties.).What is the stretch room in HM?I have rode it alot but I do not know what you guys are talking about. What would be cool would be having a ball room hidden in the castle,or a bedroom.

/\ You don't know the stretching (or stretch) room. It the one wiht the Portraits that (duh) stretch, you know the woman who sits on a head stone, the men in the quicksand.

I had a similar idea to this, except it was a hotel. This is an excert from another topic I made:

"The Hollywood Tower Hotel" hotel
I came up with the idea of putting a real hotel inside the Hollywood Tower Hotel. It could be on the backside of the Tower Of Terror ride, and would be themed to the Hollywood Tower Hotel before the disaster. It would even have the Tip Top Club. There would be delux suites, and have a Disney gift shop, a nice sit down resturaunt, and park acsess. Thats all for now, what do you think:icon_ques "

Well I dont know about at DL but I know at WDW they used to have dinner available inside the HM for the Happy Haunts Ball which I believe is no longer taking place. The cool part about the HHB ball from what I heard was being delivered to the HM in a horse drawn hearse if you stayed at the Grand Floridian. Now THATS kewl!!

They can't because if they do they would have to add a blinking red light on the top because its over 200 feet.

The building's structual system wasn't designed for a ballroom at the top of the buidling. It wont be able to support what would be needed to build a ballroom.

I suggest that they add a restuarant onto the ground level, just call it something different :)

You know, it is interesting about the restaurant concept, because they were originally going to put one in the "Sunset Room" (The room that's near the gift shop and the place where you purchase ride photos, I think now it's being used as a storage room, but I could be wrong.)

It would have to be an awfully small party ;)
