Some of the trees that make up the forest in Jungle Cruise are original trees that were on the land prior to Disneyland being built.

Accroding to Disneyland - Then , Now, and Forever . . . . "Walt wanted to keep as many of the site's existing trees as possible, so each tree was tagged with a differant colored ribbon to indicate "move", "remove", or "save." To Walt's dismay, most of the trees were bulldozed - the bulldozer operator was color-blind! However the giant eucalyptus trees were saved , and today serve as the backdrop for the Jungle Cruise in Adventureland."

I dont know if you've heard this, but one of those trees housed a little man a believe.

Dont think this belongs in the Rumor Mill though.

The Dominguez family lived on part of Disneyland before it was built. Disney saved some things from the land includidng a palm tree that the Dominguez family owned. I think you can still see it on the Jungle Cruise.

You learn many things from The "E" Ticket magazine!
