Jeopar-Disney Round 2

Well, we are finally ready for round 2 of Jeopar-Disney!

This game starts with six (6) categories with each one consisting of five (5) questions each valued at certain "money" values. An answer is is read by the person who correctly questioned the last answer. Each player is given one chance to give the correct question. (Example: A: "The Happiet Place on Earth" Q: "What is Disneyland". You MUST give your answer in a form of a question or it will not count.

Any VF member can guess. It is not limited to the person who picked the category. A correctly questioned answer will give the dollar value of the answer to that players score. An incorrect question will deduct the value from his/her score.

Hidden on the board is one "Daily Double", and the one who selects it can wager any portion of his/her winnings. In the second round, known as "Double Jeopar-Disney", the dollar values are doubled and two (2) "Daily Doubles" are placed on the board.

In the third round "Final Jeopar-Disney" one category is revealed and all players will have 48 hours to PM me on what part of their score they want to wager on the last answer. (Players with negative or zero scores can not participate in "Final Jeopar-Disney") After everyone PM's me their wager, I will post the answer and the players then have 48 hours to PM me their answers.

After the 48 hour period has passed, I will post each players question and the amount they wagered. A correct question adds the wager to that player's score, a wrong question subtracts it. The player with the most "money" value will be considered that games champion and will be invited later on to the "Grand Championships". (Round 1 Jeopar-Disney Champion was Zip-A-Dee-Do-Dah.)

Game Rule Addition: To make this as fair as possible to all the members around the country, I will only be posting to this thread no more than three (3) times a day. That means there won't be a run of one member answering a string of questions because their online and no one else is. These times will also very day to day. One day it might be 6:00 am, noon, and 6:00 pm. The next day might be 11:00 am, 3:00 pm, and 10:00 pm. Above all there will NOT be anymore that three (3) posts a day from me about this game.

I think it's a vague/poorly-written question personally. No offense Don, these things happen sometimes in quiz games. TV shows sometimes need entirely new questions written on the spot because of an unforeseen difficulty. Obviously it's edited out of the final product, but it does happen.

I have worded these answers to be straight forward. There are no hidden meanings and no encrypted messages inside them. This particular answer was straight forward, "What hidden Mickey is in front of his house." Not ON his house, not INSIDE his house. Do not read anything into the answers. If you do, you will be way behind in points.

It is clear who I was talking about and if speaking the name you would not be able to tell but I did place a couple vowels wrong. So we need to clarify some things to prevent future problems. It's not your fault protostars. As much as I'd like the $$$ :icon_twis, if this does come down to a matter of spelling, ru42 is deserving of the correct answer (question rather), in my opinion.

As on the TV show, if the name is pronounced close to sounding correct, it is often given to the contestant, they are not asked to spell the answer out. I have seen a few times where they will not give it to the contestant, if the pronounciation is WAY off. There have also been a couple categories on Jeopardy that require the answer to be spelled out. This has not been played so far in this game, to my knowledge.

I agree with ru42 in that if spelling does count, a rule will need to be added and IMO, the $$$ should go to ru42 for this response, and the new rule can go into effect for the remainder of the game.

What if we've gone through this whole discussion and the Tangaroa answer isn't even the one Cavemandon is looking for??? :icon_shoc

Well, it does mention the 1964 World's Fair, which Small World WAS at but I can't see how PMM or anyone else for that matter, thinks it was only referring to IASW? The only problem I now see (with my 20/20 hind site) is that it noted a future attraction and everyone knows the Tiki Room actually opened in 1963. Which, according to my calculator was one year before the 1964 World's Fair.
