There have been rumors that "Snow White" is coming back.
The current official compnay line is that Snow White will return next summer. Whether that is smoke or not remains to be seen.

I hope it comes back at least for the summer. Otherwise, that means it would sit empty for a long time because it takes a long time to prepare a new show. That would be too long that there's not a show in the theater.

i hope snow white comes back as well. it's definitely not as entertaining as aladdin:a musical spectacular, but it is still a great show. now i heard that there was a show there (i believe the one before snow white) that was a huge show featuring bits and pieces from many different disney movies. what was that called and aboute exactly? that sounds cool and i've heard from a good number of folks that that would be something worth bringing back.
The show was called Animazement. I only have one recording of the show unfortunately. This is one that I would like to get a couple other copies of to make a nice tribute to.

The sign for 'Snow White' is completely gone. Now there is a carved woodn sign above the entrance "Fantasyland Theater". Doesn't look like the show is coming back folks. Why would they replace the sign? The show stunk as it is, and Disney probably got feedback and decided to close it and do something else.

Honestly it did suck. It didn't even look like Snow White, and the mirror and the dwarfs... just didn't strike me as top noch disney quality. The effects were lame. That show was made for an outdoor theater, let a lone for one that has a distracting train going through it everyonce in a while. The problem was that it didn't look disney. It was a poorly lit/ designed set. The forest was too dark during the "day" parts of the play. The mirror just looked rediculous. gah... thats the only word i can say for it. it was lame lame lame. So stupid and uncreated!!! It was just blah...

i totaly have to disagree with you the mirrior is amazing and the sets (house/ castle) were very detailed. i do though agree with u on the trees they were flat and ugly but the way the music came together with what was happening on stage was well done. defenitly disney-like quality.even though i totaly want Animazement back i do hope that snow white comes back for even just one summer.

I don't know, I kinda felt like I was watching a high school play with an over-achieving make-up artist. If it comes back, great, it'll take some pressure off the Fantasyland rides during the day. If it doesn't come back, we'll just wait for whatever's next. Twice Charmed might be a better fit for the Fantasyland Theatre than Hyperion.

Not gonna lie, I wasn't a huge fan myself. But I sure liked Snow White's voice in the show a lot better than the one in the movie! I also liked the show's track. I still agree with PeoplemoverMatt; the show itself was pretty mediocre.
I?d love to see an adaptation of ?Funderful Disney Party? from Tokyo Disneyland or an original 50th anniversary show; a ?Welcome to Our Family? stage show. What do you think?
Have a great day,

ok when i went in october like there was a tree border over the percinial arch!
Tarzan anyone?
Well, Tarzan Rocks is closing at Animal Kingdom next weekend. Maybe a trip west for the show?
Let me stress I am just being funny - this is not to be taken as a rumor.

I don't think the replacement of the sign is any indication the show will not come back. I think the arch and sign are permanent and will remain regardless of what show is currently in the theater. This means Snow White could return with the new sign and not the sign that is specific for the show. Besides, I'm sure the Snow White sign is probably backstage and could easily be out back up. I bet the new sign was also designed to cut back on guests asking why Snow White is not playing. The theater really needed a permanent sign. I'll bet it stays whenever a new show begins. It works because it is not specific to any show.
One thing is for sure, there will not be a new show this summer. There's no time to do a new one and nothing has been done to Snow White's sets. It should come back if not for any other reason just to have a show in there for the busy the summer season. Seeing a show is something people expect and it's great for capacity. Then they could work on a new show during the off season.
I like Snow White. I don't see why a lot of people hate it. It's cute and has drawn unfair comparison's to Aladdin.

I'd also like to add my voice to those clamoring for the return of Animazement. Best live-action Disney show ever (and that includes Fantasmic).
Snow White was just so-so. Not as good as Aladdin, but better than the Little Mermaid show at MGM, or (ugh!) Tarzan Rocks.

was Tarzan Rocks bad or something?
Here is where we are....
1 - No one knows the future fate of the Fantasyland Theater so I think the main question of this thread is complete
2 - We are moving into wild speculation at this point so off we go to the Rumors section
Please keep your arms and legs inside this thread at all times and no smoking please.
Tarzan Rocks is based off the movie Tarzan. It was quite different in that there is that the show was not 'acting' per se but lots of bike jumps, roller skating, rope acrobatics and of course singing. While the tale is Tarzan is told it is in a very limited way - the songs are the main focus.
People had differing opinions of the show. I for one loved the show. I thought it was different and entertaining. Not as good as the Festival of the Lion King but worthy.

Tarzan Rocks was more of a concert than a stage show, with a mediocre cover band performing the already mediocre Phil Collins songs from the movie, and what appears to be the cast of Starlight Express doing tricks all around them. It's very painful.
"Two worlds! One family!" Make it stop!

I say they should do One Man's Dream II: The Magic Lives On.

I wouldn't really care if Disneyland replaced the Snow White show. I mean, as long as the next show is worth going, I'm fine with it. Besides, I want to know if they did change the Snow White show, could it be replaced by one of the previous shows? Like Animazement? The Fantasyland Theatre should have those props backstage, right?

Snow White was okay. I think my biggest problem with it was the pacing - it seems that when they cut the original story down to fit it into half an hour, they cut some of the wrong parts. They kept a lot of stuff just to keep a classic song in, not what actually moved the story along. As such, a good chunk of it just feels like fluff, and then a sudden "oh! Okay, here comes the witch, let's move on."
The sets were gorgeous. However, what really stands out to me is the music. I absolutely loved the arrangements in this one. The harmony at the end of One Song is beautiful. I also really loved the score. Too pretty! I, for one, am sorely disappointed that we never got a CD release for this show.
As for Tarzan Rocks, I actually liked that one. Whenever I was working at DAK, I'd throw my street clothes on over my basics and go watch it on my lunch break. I think it was really the stunt performers - in-line skaters and aerialists - that I loved. They did such an amazing job! I'd kill for their jobs.

To be fair, the original movie is kind of the same way. Most of the plot is crammed into the last ten or fifteen minutes, and the rest of the movie is mostly just fluff.

Yeah, the orchestrations to that show (written by Broadway vet Jonathan Tunick) were awesome, and Snow White has a BEAUTIFUL voice. Much, MUCH sweeter than Adriana Caselotti. Aside from that, the rest of the show was pretty much farshtinkenah.
Aside from Tarzan Rocks, it's got some of the best keyboard parts in it that I myself could never perfect. But I can't hear them as well until "Strangers Like Me". All the loud stuff is drowned out by some TRUE strings and TRUE horns, not to mention the guitars and the percussion. :icon_ques
I could never see it going to Disneyland, because there already is a Tarzan attraction just a couple of BLOCKS AWAY, PEOPLE!!!!!
