When I upload photos using Mozilla it read that everything went OK but when I look at my photo albums, they aren't there. I tried it again using IE and it simply freezes when i try to upload. My pictures are just plain not showing up!

Mike,
Make sure you don't have any long filenames with odd characters like parenthesis. What version of IE were you using? Also, you may want to go through and double check the javascript and security settings and disable any popup/adblocker software, which might be causing the problem, too.

The format for the pictures I'm uploading is four digit number then _ then a two digit number for example 1234_56 what's strange is ONE of my pictures was successful. Now, I am a premium member, but I have some pictures uploaded from before I upgraded. Should I upload pictures now to the premium photo gallery or to the member photo gallery?
I turned off my pop up blocker in Firefox and it didn't solve a thing. I look at the status in the lower left and it reads "waiting for visionsfantastic.com" for a very long time then reads "done" but no message saying the pictures had been uploaded.

There is no "Premium Photo Gallery", but as a member your storage increases from 20 megs to 50 megs.
The underscore in your filenames shouldn't be an issue.
Have you installed any toolbars lately? Something that may be blocking something?
Is anyone else having similar issues?

I haven't installed any toolbars on Firefox but I have Yahoo! and MSN on Internet Exploder. However I may be on to something: I downsized a picture to 899x599 pixels (a 75% reduction) and it successfully posted. Is there a maximum pixel size/filesize that's allowed? I then resized a picture to 1000x800 pixels and it worked, which is plenty fine for me, so I pretty much consider this case closed. It is a noteworthy bug, however.
Now to my next question: is there a way to delete individual pictures? I have only seen ways to delete whole categories.

Yes how do you delete photos

To delete an individual picture here is what you do.
You click on the image so that it loads the website that shows the picture at full size. Then you click on Image Tools which is in the top right corner of the screen. It will drop down a short menu and click "Edit Image". Now it will bring you to a webpage that on it says Delete This Image. Check the Box and click Delete

Yeah thanks! I got lucky in this case because I had only four pictures and wanted to delete two: so I deleted the whole category then re-uploaded the two that I wanted to keep.

Yes, there are limits to picture sizes in dimension. I don't recall the maximums offhand. Was this a JPG image? There are different maximum sizes depending on the image type (BMP, JPG, GIF, PNG)

Well I found out through troubleshooting and trial and error thatthe maximum length seems to be about 1100. If you look at my photos the maximum size seems to be about that. any larger than that and I get the freeze. I scan my 4x6" photos at 200DPI and apparently have to downsize them by 5%. What's notable is that the website does not specifically tell you "your picture is too large" it just chokes, I had to find this out by troubleshooting.

It's supposed to tell you the image is too large. It's odd that it freezes up. I'll try to look into it.

Wouldn't you know it. One problem is solved and I found another. Sometimes when I upload pictures instead of showing the picture it simply shows the title to the picture. Sometimes the title is linked so when you click on it it shows the picture. But in many cases the title is not linked. Take the case here it simply displays the words "cueue line" which is what I named it but it doesn't show the image

That almost looks like an incomplete upload somehow. Very odd.

I discovered that normally it displays two filesizes: 600x400 (or thereabouts) and the larger filesize. When you first look at the picture it shows the 600x400 then when you click on it it shows the larger version. However, on the ones that I'm having trouble with it only shows one size: 1000x665.

I have tried helping Mike out and i told him to clear his cookies, and log out of VF and log back in and it still didn't work. What is wrong Chris?

I honestly don't know. If the file is somehow corrupt, the image scaler won't be able to resize the image. That's the only explanation I can come up with. Try loading that particular image into a graphics program and re-save it and see if that helps.

Hey Mike, I have an image resize program i can send to you. PM me for more info. Maybe that will work.

That isn't the problem. I know what the maximum filesize is and the pitures I'm trying to upload are at or below that

This is going to be a problem, but Chris won't restart the server just for 1 picture. Hmm we have to make up some sort of plan.

I asked if others were having the same problem and nobody has come forward with similar issues. Mike, can you perhaps convert that one file to another format (PNG maybe) and see if that solves the issue?

When I uploaded to PNG and it sometimes works but not always. I noticed when I try to upload on the lower left it reads
"sending request to www.visionsfantastic.com" followed by "waiting for www.visionsfantastic.com" then after a while it reads "done' when nothing has happened. This is the same thing it was doing when my picture sizes were too big but that doesn't seem right because I downsized them 1000 by 733. This even happens sometimeswhen trying to upload PNG
