Like he said, yes! But they are also aiming for the opening of the newly refurbished pirates on the same day so that the celebs can ride it and see themselves on the ride! That will be fun for them, and most notably, ME, I mean, US! Expect HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE (etc.) CROWDS!

Well ,i know like last time crowd control will be there, and frontierland and west side i thikn or east side will be shut down for the premiere, so everythin from tarzans treehouse down and it will be closed off from mark twain to golden horseshoe will be blocked, so the only way in or out for 2 rides would be the bridge, or it will just close entirily, but yes there will be anotehr premiere, and yes it focuses around TSI, and mabey the park will be closed when they remiere the movie, because it has to be dark by the time it shows. So, chances are you will be out of the park and it will be closed before you even see a star from the movie. Just tellin ya what i remember from last time, oh and there were grandstands blocking the walkways so expect that, best advice, dont go!

Lol, just like Prostars said that one time, this is probably one of the very rare times when PMM doesn't say much. ;)

I'm defiantly not a fan of the ride renovations.... but I wouldn't mind going that day. I'm traveling to Disneyland this summer anyways. Even though Johnny Depp will be a pollution to the ride in my eyes.. I still wouldn'y mind giving him some evil glares for being so famous! :icon_twis .
Nawwwww I just want to see some people from a movie I appriciated... Even if I do complain about how its changing a classic.
I probably sound like quite a hypocrite right now!!

There isn't anything wrong with being a fan of the movie but totally against changing the ride to be more like the movie. You can count me in that group as well.

yes.Lol, just like Prostars said that one time, this is probably one of the very rare times when PMM doesn't say much. ;) In this case, less is more. I thought I could hear a barely audible sigh :icon_conf accompanied by an eyeroll :icon_roll just before the yes.

I would love to meet Johnny Depp. He's my fav actor. My sister thinks he's hot. I would like to meet him, but I would rather meet him in one of those "right place, right time" moments.

OMG..i loved the ride so much since i was a little girl (and not to mention depp had a lot to do with it) that on my 18 birthday i went out and got the skull on the front of the movie case tattooed on the back of my neck. I'm a huge huge fan and i'd love to go but i'm not sure with all the crowds if it would be worth it.
:/ But on the flip side i am totally against the ride change. I think it's horrible that disney would do something like that. It's a classic that shouldn't be touched anymore.I say just let it be.

As the calendar goes, the refurbbed Pirates will have been open for a week before the premier & 3 weeks before it's released nationwide on 7/7. This'll be the first attraction I can ever remember that served as a preview for a movie not even out yet!

Ok, so the ride is rumored to opening again, umm.. I think it was June 21? So what day will the premier be on? The same day ya think? Well, Im not going to be there, even though I would love to be. I will be there 6 days later though! I am against changing the ride as well, but I do have to admit that I am a huge fan of the movie, and I really cannot wait to the sequel. I wish Disney would just leave that classic ride alone, but I guess they know what they are doing, and hopefully it wont be as bad as well all think. The only thing that I request is that they put a Captain Jack Sparrow animatronic figure in the jail cell towards the end. I have just always pictured how well he would fit in!

I'm going to miss the classic ride too.:frown: To make matters worse, I won't be able to ride the new version until September. The only to ride as soon as it opens is to upgrade to Deluxe.
