Well I don't know what Crime was committed, but in June of this year I witnessed Disney Security tackle and remove a guest from my sight within 30 seconds over by Splash mountain. I was impressed with the speed and the lack of disruption in which they handled it...most folks around me didn't even realized what had happened...made me wonder what the guy did though to warrant such a response...

I guess one time some robbers were running from the cops, paid their way into the park, and hid among the regular guests. we were there and all of a sudden, there were news and police helocopters circling the park. they got caught of course. it was rather descreet. I was surprised it didnt cause more of a fuss. it was quick and we only found out because a cast member told us.

I've seen Anaheim police take a man down to the ground and handcuff him right in front of the turnstyles. He was not cooperating, and the language I heard is not often heard on Disney property during park hours.

Pickpockets and petty thievery happens everyday. NEVER leave ANYTHING of any kind of value in a stroller, even if it can't be seen. Thieves take a whole stroller with anything in it and either rifle through it for valuables elsewhere in the park (so you might get the stoller back) or they walk right out of the park with it AND the rest of your belongings.

My sister-in-law had her purse stolen from right beside her when she was sitting on the stone wall next to the Dumbo ride. She had taken my niece for the day and had removed her 1.5 carat wedding ring from her finger and put it in her purse because it hurt our neice's fingers when they were holding hands. ...ouch.

My neighbors had their stroller removed from the "Playhouse Disney" stroller parking and moved about 50 feet up Hollywood Boulevard (in front of Animation), they took the wife's purse and the family's digital camera (a NICE digital camera, even if it was 3 years old). ...ouch.

Greetings,
I think it was in the book, "Mouse Under Glass", that a chapter was dedicated to Park incidents that you don't want to know about. Yes DaddyB, there are reasons why we don't want our girls out of our sight ! Without going into details, security prevented the little girl & the abductors from exiting the Park. The little girl was only identified by her shoes ! If someone knows different, let me know.

not at DL, but at soak city @ Knott's this summer:

we saw about a dozen lifeguards drag a man out of the women's bathroom after he tried to molest a young girl. they literally dragged him off to the lifeguard tower by the wave pool and pinned him down till buena park police showed up to arrest him. pretty funny seeing 4 rather large lifeguards sitting on him to keep him down. but He deserved the rough treatment for what he tried to do.

the scary part is my 2 daughters went in the same restroom about a half hour prior to this.

Back in the 1980's, two thieves went to the Haunted Mansion with their flashlights to steal the 20,000 leagues under the sea organ. They beat up a secruity guard who is guarding the mansion. They put a note saying that he should go to the hospital. After that, the organ was missing in the ballroom for a few days.

Some US navy seals retrieve the organ back to it's preivous place. The thieves were caught and arrested.

Why would theives leave a note? It seems way TOO stupid to be true. Honestly... I do not believe that. Where did you hear that? Why would Navy SEALS have to bring it back? How would the theives pass all the cameras? Also, isn't the organ down below the Omnimover track behind glass; so if the theives went and got it, it would have to be through a weird door which would have sounded an alarm?

:~)

I heard they have a small jail under the park where they can hold people until Anaheim police arrives. Anyone know if this is true?

The jail thing /is/ true. There is a small jail, but it's not under the park. It's in the back of the main street bank. At least, that's what I heard from employees.

once, when i was in Disney WORLD, yes Disney WORLD, not LAND, I was a pretty young kid, and i had a stroller. Well, my parents parked the stroller, and we had tied this banndana on it, and we left. When we returned, it was gone(the banndana), so i got a bit upset. yup, crime sure is terrible these days, but wha can we do about it?
I know! let's go to a Broadway show!!!!!!!
isn't that the same thing?
Quiet you!

If their is no small jail for the bad guys. Where can they put them, Oh, I know tied them up in chairs with a tough rope in It's a Small World ride and they will go crazy and the music will stay on their heads for weeks.

i havent seen anything but i now for a fact that there is an actual disneyland jail, not the fake one in toon town, but there is an actual disneyland jail where you wait for the anaheim police to pick you up and take you to jail, i know thisbecause my band teachers went over this with us both times i did DMMD

There is no "jail" at Disneyland. If you've been an extremely bad boy (or girl) there is a room where security can hold you that does not have any furniture other than a place to sit, but there are no bars on the walls or anything like that. Anaheim Police are stationed right there at the resort, so it rarely takes any time for the police to arrive.

During grad nites, when the chances for multiple people needing to be 'detained' there is often an area that may be referred to as the "jail' while you wait for your parents to come pick you up, but again, no locks on the doors or bars on the windows, etc.

As for this whole thread, we're moving to the 'rumors' section.

You do realize that "DisneyLies" is just that, LIES. (It is strictly for entertainment purposes). Read their disclaimer carefully.

I remember about 3 or 4 years back I was waiting for Fantasmic to start whilst sitting at one of those tables in between the River Belle Terrace and The Stage Door Cafe. All of a sudden there was a little bit of yelling going on. So I turned around and this lady was just freaking out at one of the secuirty guards. So, of course, like a car accident, I kept watching as the yelling got louder and louder. Then, all of a sudden from out of nowhere, the lady just full-on slaps the security guard across the face. He was just trying to tell her to go the opposite way. And of course, being that he works for Disney, he couldn't do anything back. lol. I felt sooo bad for that guy. You could tell that he was a nice man. SOME PEOPLE! *rolls eyes* Not really a crime, but it's close enough!

Some people are just jerks. They should control their anger.

Saw 2 teens busted for smoking pot on Tom Sawyers Island once back in the late 80's.
