Dude, no offense, but you post WAY too many threads. Like you have 6 or 7 that are just questions that no one can really answer, like this one.
But anyway, DL in the future will probably be alot more technologible than now.

omg, i can not wait for this day to come! for once it's good to be younger than most people, huh? i'm 17 so i'll be 67 then and i'll be able to look at my grandchildren, children, and hopefully great grandchildren and say "I was here 50 years ago and this celebration is so much better!" Not many people will actually be able to compare the 2!! wow, that's just so cool.

Kinda off topic real quick... but no one really knows if they'll be alive in 50 yrs. Don't take life for granted. Sorry to be somewhat morbid... but it's the truth.
I'm happy I was alive for the 50th though... that's pretty awesome!

Well we're not guaranteed to be there to see it, but that won't stop it from happening. Unless we're seriously conquered by China or someone else, Disneyland will never die, and therefore will have a 100th anniversary.

WOW! IMAGINE!
In 50 more years i will be 65 years old.
I would probably be on Space Mountain as an old little man.
SO everyone going on Buzzlightyear astro blasters on the 100th anniversery be sure to look out for an old man shooting zurg with a plasma gun thing.

I would be shocked if BLAB is still there 50 years from now, honestly.

I would be shocked if BLAB is still there 50 years from now, honestly.
I would crying my eye out of my eye sockets out if they ever got rid of Buzzlightyear astro blasters.
I would make a thread about it and it would be such a big deal to me.
On the 100th anniversery i bet they would have so many crazy special effects for fireworks.

I can't imagine how it'll be! Then again I'll probably be dead by then, but hopefully my kids could appreciate it. After seeing Remember, I told my guests, if the celebration is this big for the 50th, imagine how it'll be for the 100th!

Superman436 didn't want to be morbid, but I have an even more frightening thing to wonder... What if you go with your kids, grandkids and great grandkids, and have to tell them you were there 50 years ago and it was so much better then...
Sorry, bein' a buzzkill again...

I'm not saying don't plan for the future, that would be ridiculus. Chances are you'll be alive tomorrow and get to do whatever you planned. I'm just trying to keep things in perspective that we are not guaranteed tomorrow, let alone 50 yrs from now. In short... make good use of the time that you DO have, and if you're still around in 50+ yrs, feel blessed to have been given a long life.
I guess my pet peeve with this topic is people definitively saying "When DIsneyland turns 100 I WILL be there..." It just makes more sense to me to say "IF I'm around for Disney's 100th, I will/would like to..."
Maybe its just because I'm starting to get out of my "childhood"/"college" yrs and not making the assumption that I will live to an old age anymore.
Again, sorry to be morbid, just my thoughts. Now go and enjoy Disneyland for all it's worth as much as you can...

When I think about Disneyland in 50 years I now think of the little speech that one of Disney's daughters, Dianne Disney Miller, made on the 50th, the part where she talked about how some of us would probably be there for the 100th and that she bets the Enchanted Tiki Room will still be there. I like to think it will be. And I will turn 68 exactly one month before the park turns 100 and I definitely plan on being there, dead or alive! Preferably alive...

I'll be 63 years old. I'll bring my kids and possibly my grandkids and I'll be able to say that I was a Disneyland CM (Not one yet, but I'll be one, most likely.). I'm also trying to become the President/CEO of The Disney Company. I'll stop getting off topic.

Well, we'll be like living on the moon or something, or Disneyland will be torn down because, horray! They found oil hiding under it, and the world's supply of oil went so far down that a war was started to fight for those last drops. Oh, what a happy time the furture holds.
I'll be 64! =D

Oh I'm sure that ride will be long gone by then :oP
haha
Gee, I'll be 70 when that day comes along. Who knows what kind of amazing technologies we'll have by then?
I'm sure all the characters in the fantasyland right will be pretty much life-like.
Can you imagine what the firework show will be like?

BLAB's lifespan probably isnt 50 years but you can sure hope your heart out! it dosent hurt.
"Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today." -JD
this is disney and disneyland were talking about here....i think its perfectly fine to anticipate happiness and a long joyfilled life. Even if they dont make it to the 100th and their life runs short, why would u even throw that possibility out there? I highly doubt they are taking life for granted by being positive about their chances of seeing that day. Everyone knows their time can end abruptly...but they dont say it because of a thing called "optimism". Walt had a lot of it.
I love the fact that Disneyland is rightfully regarded and respected as something so important to America that it gets guarded by the US army following a terrorist attack across the country. I think that speaks volumes about how much that place has touched everyone and how its on the top of the list of things sacred to this country.

I just thought about it and I am going to be 80 when that happens. I am still going to be there dying or not. I will be there and hopefully have grandkids to share in the experience. Wow! I wonder what it will be like then? And will they have Art Linkletter's head talk to us like in the cartoon Futurama? Just kidding.

I know, all the old rides would come back in a new land, including that walk-through of alice in wonderland that they never built, they will have something new in the opera house, instead of abe lincon, WALT DISNEY!!!!!, and, if Fantasmic ever closes, they will bring it back in a gigantic ampitheatre like in Disney world, and have most of the origional stuff, including Ursula, and all new scenes, making it 1 hour!!!!!!!

It's funny people saying "I'll be alive then" because even if your like 1 month old who knows what can happen in 50 years! I hope, God willing, I will be alive in 50 years for it. It would be amazingly good, and also nice to walk around just randomly saying to people "Yes I was here for the 50th anniversary...were you??". But I guess then you'd sound like one of those elderly people who say "Back in my day......"

Well in 50 more years i dont think not much will be going on. As you watch the news and read Rev. in the bible its all pretty much matching. leading to the rapture and the rise of the Antichrist. then the 7 year tribulation. Christ Jesus then returns and the new earth is here with Christ as King. As much as i love disneyland i dont think it will be there anymore with Christ as King.
