Anyone have a best deal for a hotel across habor blvd from DLR?
We'll be arriving November, the night of the 2nd and leaving on Sat the 5th.
One room is all we need.
We had a great stay recently at the Tropicana as we need little in way of ammenities, simply quick access to the park and a clean room.
This time, there seems to be a convention in town.
Any pointers.
is it too late or too early to get a great rate?
Resort hotels seem too costly, are there any special deals happening currently?
thanks

try this website: www.getawaytoday.com
They have some of the BEST deals I've seen...most include park hopper tickets with the hotel package!

we stayed at the best western park place inn. directly across the street from DLR. when you walk out of the lobby your basically standing at the crosswalk that a lot of the visitors use to get to the front gate. it was a nice motel and I highly suggest it. the rooms were nice and big too. not too exspensive either.

I stayed at Anaheim Plaza Hotel (http://www.anaheimplazahotel.com/) which was a 10 minute walk to the gate and was only $62 a night! They also have a nice lounge and an olympic size pool.

We always stay at Park Vue Inn which is directly across the street from the entrance. The rates are always great and the location is FANTASTIC!

Yes you certainly can't do better than the Park Vue Inn (http://www.parkvueinn.com) as far as proximity to the park is concerned, and I was going to stay there when I went Sept 23-25 but the rates were upwards of $90 or so a night; 1½ times more than the Anaheim Plaza Hotel (http://www.anaheimplazahotel.com) which was only a 5 minute walk farther. For a list I compiled of walking distance hotels at the thread below

Thanks for all the prompt feedback-
We've decided to change our dates to get a better rate but you've definitely influenced our choices. now we'll try for the next week, wed night -sat morn Nov 9-12.
We wanted to go on a 2 day romp around the DLR ending in the fireworks display that we've heard so much about. Are they going to continue this on Fridays and Saturdays for a whole year, or are we too late?

The best way to get the best rate is to plan ahead. We made our reservatons for Park Vue Inn when we were staying there in May for our trip in November and we got a rate of $62.00 a night. Not too shabby for a room right across the street from Disneyland! We always book serveral months ahead at Park Vue Inn and have always got a good deal. Another way to get a good rate is to stay at the same place every time you go. Park Vue Inn keeps track of our stays and we will occasionally get coupons in the mail discounting our next stay.

Sufferin' succatash that IS a good deal. I called Park Vue Inn in early August for a room the last weekend in Sept and it was $90! If you can get the Park Vue for that cheap I'd say jump on it!
