IRC is quite popular, but I imagine you're talking about the #disney-central channel on irchighway. I strongly suggest visiting www.wdwmagic.com (in their audio/video discussion boards) and reading up on it there since many of the people who operate and maintain #Disney-central are regulars there.

Hmmm... I thought I heard about a VF irc... but nobody went to it... ever thought of having one? Or just like a Bravenet chat?
