most of the videos are less than 50mb ....and they dont look as clear as they should be...im just wondering if they have to be a certain size (maybe because of the storage available?) so yeah i was just wondering is there is a limit size :icon_lol: cuz the videos can look much clearer

it's a bandwidth issue. lower quality in videos = higher quality in service from VF

Disk storage isn't an issue (our server has a 40 GB hard disk), but the bandwidth neccessary to support VF's large amount of visitors makes the lower quality video a neccessity. For higher quality video, we'd have to charge everyone a use fee (such as wdwmagic.com). For free, VF is a pretty good deal.

It's because the digital video format that most of these videos are in only update pixels that change every frame or so, and the pixels are kinda large... this is one of sevral reasons that film is better than digital...

Hey, I don't know if I asked this before. But just since this is here. I was wondering if anyone has a higher quality Grizzly River Run video than the one on the site they could e-mail me. Reaon being, I am thinking about making my section of my dad's railroad set a N scle model of it. Although I'm not sure. Any help would be great thanks.

(Admins, I know this is out of place but I started a topic about this in the Video section and couldn't find it soo.....)
