Disney has already pledged $2.5 million to the relief efforts of Katrina.

yeah, that would be very Un-Disney to not donate a large sum of money in an occurance like this. Even with semi-evil management.

i love new orleans square. they should do something to note the recent tradegy in the new orleans square area of the park...even if its signs or donating part of the profits from the new orleans themed food from there or something.
im glad to hear the french quarter is still intact too. i was worried i would never get to see it in person. i guess i still have a chance now. I just hope Rita misses New Orleans....

I wouldnt want to see signs. this would take away from the feel of N.O.S. They could have them out front at the ticket booth, but not in the park, we get enough saturation from the news.
They very well could donate the profits from ALL sales in N.O.S. over a weekend to the relief fund.

The castmembers could all wear Magnolias, or black armbands. Something low key that doesn't bring too much attention to itself.

It's weird though that DIsney hasn't given more, it being such a big componay and whatnot. The Ellen show itself has donated over $6 mil already

yeah daddyb...thats really more what i meant...i just couldnt put it into the right words like you did. Just a small reminder on how good we have it here and how great disneyland and how lucky we are to not being going through a tradegy like that.

I'm glad DL donated. I've been to New Orleans practically twice this year -- first the real deal, second in Disneyland. Such a tragedy... :(
