News Thread?

I think VF should have a news thread because alot of news pops up and people want to discuss it, and it ends up all over in random places and always gets moved to off-topic... so for instance the BlueJet emergency landing caused alot of thread booms, but they all ended up in Offtopic. so they should have their own thread.

Also, alot of Disney news pops up and it may want to be discussed there.

Honestly, if there is News relating to Disneyland Park, it goes in the Disneyland Park forum, all other news goes into Off-Topic. This is, after all, a discussion board about The Disneyland Resort and some people prefer to leave the news and other topics (like politics and religion) to other boards.

We've had a lot of problems with political and religious debates on VF and we'd prefer to keep them off. Adding a "World Events" or "News" forum would only encourage this kind of discussion.
