Getting stuck on It's a small world for 10min- the song drove me nuts. I also got stuck on Alice we had to walk thru it, that was great, saw the engineer room and everything. Got a pic infront of the cards-

I had two experiences last time when a ride broke down right as I was about to board it. The first was on POTC for about 5 minutes -- nothing too bad tho. But the 2nd was about 45 minutes for the Matterhorn. Since its my favorite ride, I waited it out.

Well here is an interesting thing you should know. one day me and Legend S were about to board the doom buggies on the Haunted Masion. Okay sounds simple enough. Well what happened in the ride who knows. But the ride basically broke down and leaving me, Legend S, and approximately 30-20 people waiting for the ride to start up again. We were positioned in the hall of paintings, and apparently the lights went on and we could see that the paintings seemed to be actual canvas paintigns but with a second painting behind it to show thew lightning effect of the evil sides of the paintings. But of course a lot of people knew that. But for some reason everytime I go to Disneyland I am either getting to the ride, and it breaks down already, or for some strange reason, after I say something about the ride(like its going to break down once), for some strange reason of fate it happens.

In July I was on Space mountain and it broke down, yes I know it does a lot but I got to see it a couple days after relaunch with the lights on:biggrin: . I have been on Splash mountain and winnie the pooh when it has broken down to the point where we had to get out and walk the rest, and almost every ride atleast for a minute.

A few years ago, we got stuck on Pirates of the Caribbean. Well, as Fate would have it, a riot almost started around all of us. It didn't help that one of the people in our boat was getting progressively angrier. To make a long story short, we were the last boat to be "rescued," in the middle of the ride, after an hour and a half. When we finally were able to get out of the boat, there were Disneyland Security people and Anaheim Police officers waiting. EEK! :icon_shoc

One time I walked into Fantasyland and saw no line for Peter Pan. I asked a cast member what was going on and they said it was broken. I decided to wait it out. My mom and my brother waited with me too. They were getting close to re-opening it but then they had another minor problem. When the ride re-opened I was first in line with a GIGANTIC crowd behind me!

Sort of off-topic here...I heard Space Mountain is scarier with the lights on. Is that true?
Back on topic...I think I go to Disneyland pretty frequently (moreso now with my AP) and yet I've never been stuck on any of the rides! Maybe I'm "lucky", but I would love to get to walk through some of the rides or go on Space with the lights on. I think those must be wonderful experiences!

well for me most of the ride was in the dark and they put on the brakes when I was close to the bottom. the CM's give you a little push to get down the rest of the way but it wasnt scary at all. just kinda fun

In the old ride your head most definitely felt like it was going to be chopping clean off of your neck from the low beams. Was still awesomly fun though ;D Haven't gotten through the new one with the lights on yet but some of the passes still feel kinda low.

My getting stuck experience actually prevented me from riding Haunted Mansion for about seven years! When I was five (also the first time I remember riding HM), my grandma and I got in the elevator and the ride started as planned. The room stretched, the lights went out and the skeleton flashed, everyone screamed and then nothing. We were stuck in the dark for about a 1/2 hour. I was terrified. Nothing could get me on it again!
Also, kind of off topic, but a neat story none the less. I was at Universal Studios and we ran up the queue of Jurassic Park as the park was closing. They let us on for one last ride and we made it through the ride. After the drop we were coming up on the exit and our boat stopped. We were about five feet from the exit and they wouldn't let us climb out for safety reasons! The other members of our party took pictures of us stuck in our boat unable to move! I've posted a picture because it was funny (I'm giving the thumbs up). The cool thing was when we finally got off (over an hour later) the park was long closed, empty and a lot of the lights were out. The escalator was even turned off (there are a lot of stairs there)! So it was like exploring after hours. We also all got free t-shirts!

I had 2 experiences. The first was back in 2001 when I rode HM. My doom buggy stopped in front of the grandfather clock. I was stuck there for 5 minutes. I even counted how many times the shadow claw circled the clock.
My second experience was the worst. It was back in June 2003. Me, my sister, and my mom went on BTMRR about an hour & a half before the park closes. We got stuck on the lift in the cave for about 15-20 minutes. That wasn't the worst part about it. It was the people behind us that made it bad. It was a bunch of girls about 13 or 14 yrs old. Their voices irritated us(you know whats a Valley Girl, right?). Since it was Friday the 13th (no wonder it broke down), they were going "Like oh my god, did you know it's Friday the 13th? Like oh my god!". My sister(who was 14 at the time) almost wanted to go homicidal on one of them.

Best experience? Probably when we were stuck on HM in the attic. Me and a friend got stuck in front of those "I-DO!" heads-which just keep going. My friend hates that part and kept hiding from it. Well she tried to not look and I was just laughing the whole time.
Worst experience? Probably when a friend and I just got onto Indiana Jones. We didn't even 'drive' 5 feet and the ride breaks down for a half an hour. If we were going to get stuck, at least get stuck at an interesting part of the attraction. Little disappointing.
My first time at The Haunted Mansion was perfect because of a ride stop. We had just passed those three ghosts on the way into the crypt and heard the Ghost Host say Beware of Hitchhiking ghosts! when everything grinds to a halt and a voice says Prankish spirits have invaded our tour, please remain seated in your doombuggy! After a short time, the doombuggy starts again and we pass those mirrors... and that tall skeletal ghost is in there with us! It was almost like those ghosts stopped the thing to get in with us!

Several years ago, I was riding on Pirates of the Caribbean with my parents, and we were in the first row of our boat. We had just passed the pirate ship and were rounding the corner into the first town scene when our boat got stuck. Completely stuck, for no apparent reason. Being stuck, the boats behind us were also stopped, though thankfully the CMs realized what had happened and stopped the ride. After about a half hour, the CMs came and got us moving again (mainly by shoving at the boat until it got unstuck). It really wasn't too bad, though I was a bit freaked out at first. This does explain how I know the dialogue for the ship/fort battle and the well interrogation scenes by heart ("Do not tell them, Carlos! No no no no! Ahhh!")
A few years ago, I was on BTMRR and had just gotten on after waiting in a truly horrendous line. Just as we reached the first incline, the ride stopped quite suddenly. We sat there, a bit confused, for about five minutes when a CM appeared to lead us off the ride. Apparently, some stupid teenager thought it would be funny to stand up in the middle of the ride and, per procedure, the CMs had to shut down the ride, get everyone off and do a safety check before starting it again. We got to walk through the ride, which was quite neat, and received a free pass at the exit. Of course, none of the people still waiting in line received a pass and I felt really badly for them. According to the CM, though, the prankster was escorted from the park by security and, since he was under 18, escorted home by local police. Oops.

my only experiace was on BLAB. it shut down durring the ride
we were about half way and I was just
about to break 500,000 points
and possibably get my all time best.
when the ride stalled and the scores just dissapeared.
I was really ticked.
we sat there for about 20 minutes and then they
escorted everybody off the ride,
which took another 20-30 minutes.
the worse part was we didn't get jack from them.
other then 'were sorry for the incovieance' (SP)
(what happened to the spell chek feature???)

i got stuck on peter pan for about 10 towards the end of the ride. The darkness made u feel like u were so high then they turned on the light and u are like 2 feet from the ground. I also got stuck on HM next to the guy that is playing the piano, the sound was messed up but he was still moving so all i heard was this clicking sound.

Stuck on Indiana Jones Adventure for 20 minutes in the boulder scene. It was not broken. But it stopped in the middle. (but it feels broken:icon_roll) Our jeep is on top of Indy and he is still holding on the rope for dear life. The boulder was not moving yet, all we see is blackness and Indy on the ceiling. All the audio was off and our jeep is still shaking like a well-worn car. After 20 miuntes our jeep moves again and the boulder comes and the audio returns. Indy yelled out for help, even we were already there. We plunge under the boulder and see Indy again tired and he said: "Tourists, why did it have to be tourists".
We returned to the boarding station and we stopped again, we wait in the hot, stuffy tunnel near the station. Boy was it very stuffy and hot, they should put a a/c in the boarding tunnel. We saw another jeep next to us and it a/c in the other tunnel I think. After a while we moved again and get off our jeep. It was the best experience I ever had.

Way back in '87, we were on the People Mover when it broke down. Our train was over the Subs, right where the Subs enter/exit the caverns.
In '99, Pirates broke down. We were in the burning town scene. At first, no one noticed the ride broke down because who isnt' used to seeing the boats back up in that area. After a while, they turned off the music and bumped up the lights. The cast members were paged over the PA to put on waders, grab tow lines, and start towing the boats to the emergency exits. You go up so many stairs to reach the street level in the backstage area, only to go back down more stairs under NOS. Oh, and by the way, you go up more stairs to get back into NOS. They gave everyone ride passes so you don't have to wait in line for another attraction.
Last month, I went on Splash and the ride had problems (it opened late or reopened as I came out of HMH). Our log was held right before going through the dark camelback. You were stuck listening to Brer Rabbit laughing. The only scenery in front of us was Brer Bear's butt. A CM walked the entire flume and checked all the logs, but they didn't evacuate any logs. After 10 min were on our merry way.

Recently I got stuck on HMH for about 20 minutes. We weren't evacuated, but we were on the part where the doom buggy is leaning back, and you're heading into the graveyard. It's weird, I always wondered what it would be like to get stuck there. And I did. I ended up sleeping for about five minutes, then my friend Lori woke me up when we were at the end. Turns out I was really tired!

When I was younger and my younger sister was just a toddler, we rode Splash Mountain and got stuck right before the conveyor belt of the big drop. The excitement or the sound of water swishing or something made her pee herself and she got it all over the log and me. Waiting for 20 minutes soaked in urine was not fun.

I didnt necessarily enjoy myself... but lets just say that they guy in front of us was with his girlfriend... well.... doombuggies hold only two people... the conceal you from others.... they were talked to when they got off the ride by a cast member... and... other stuff.... you do the math.

Two years ago I took some friends to Disneyland for the first time. We went on Indiana Jones about 5 times and on our last ride we got stuck on the curve just before you get to the giant snake. We sat there for about an hour before we were "rescued." It was really cool to walk under the bridge and see everything up close and personal.

About a year ago, my cousin, dad, and me all try to fit into one boat in Peter Pan. I have no clue if that broke the ride, but I do know that we were stuck right in front of the waiting area for about 20 minutes, in a very crowded boat!

i wasnt really stuck but i was on one of the last ridees of the night and they were converting indaina jones to one track noly, we stopped 3 times for about a minute each. Once before the room where they thow the darts at you, another time like 3 sec later at the end of that room, and then right under indaina before the rock comes out.
It seems like the most popular place to get stuck on POTC is right at the turn after you see the pirate ship. We got stuck there once for over an hour. It was REEEALLY annoying hearing "Carlos, don't be cheeken!" over and over again. After a while a castmember evacuated us and he led us through quite alot of interesting backstage areas before we finally came out of the "cast members only" door near the exit of the ride. Though it kinda ruined the magic to see a few castmembers smoking backstage. I felt sorry for the Disneyland first timers in our boat that were exposed to "the backside of Disney"

My friend and me were it the first two seats on Splash Moutain. It would of been our 3 time in a row riding it. It took us about 15 min to actually go to the ride.We were about to go up the ramp thing before all the first singing starts and the ride stoped for another 15 min or so. Then a cm came and got us off the ride. We got free 5 fp thing while we were exiting backstage

I have been stuck three times all on splash mountain. The first time was in june and we got stuck right before the big drop in that tunnel were there singing about the laughing place and its really sad we had tolisten to that for ten minutes. The second time was a couple months ago and we were at the very top about to go down the big drop. It was only for a couple of minutes but the log was rocking back and forth. To make things worse when we went down the drop our log almost tipped over getting everybody completley drenched. The third time was on friday the 16th. I again was completley soaked after the big drop and right when you are leaving the room were they sing the song our log got stuck. Behind us was all the characters singing zip e de doo da...and in front of us was briar rabbit when he is lying on the pillows. After 30 min. of being soaked sitting in the air conditioning and hearing that song, I was glad to be evacuated. I actually thought it was cool to see the "behind the scenes" but I was a little cold:)

As a lot of people have, I recently broke down on Splash Mountain, on Dec. 3rd.
We had gone down the first drop, and just entered the showbuilding when we heard "Looks like there's a log jam up ahead! Stay seated and we'll get you movin' in a jiffy!", or something like that. We passed Brer Rabbit and the turtle, and then hit three boats that were stuck in front of us--then two more boats stopped behind us. After only 4 minutes or so, the music cut out and the lights came on.
It was funny, as the animatronics still operate, even when the audio is off. So we were under a ton of opposums which were dancing to nothing. After about 4 more minutes, a Castmember came, and helped us individually out of our boats. We began walking along the pathway adjacent to the waterway, to an emergency exit. The pathway is sloped into the waterway, so as to let the water drip back into the waterway, so you feel like you are gonna fall in if you lose your ballance!
We passed the Brer Rabbit and turtle animatronics, and you have no idea of how close I was to shaking the Brer Rabbit AA's hand! The only thing that stopped me was my fear of breaking it! But it was cool seeing them up close. Being so close with the music off, you can hear all the "shhhhh"'s and "click"'s of the AA's mechanics operating. Also, the AA's arent even standing on the ground--there was a 2' hole in the ground where the AA's were presuably standing (so as to allow for easier maintenence access) and it looked like there was probably a 20 ft drop below it.
We then passed a moose, and made our way out of the exit, well concealed by a fake wall. After a small set of stairs, we made our way to the backside of the show bulding, which wasn't very glamorous. There was some portable walls stacked back there, and then the massive fence that surrounds the park. We walked down a large flight of stairs, and then made our way back into the mountain. It was cool seeing all of the rockwork from the inside--all of the rebar, mesh, and cement. We saw some other people being evacuated down some other stairs, and I shouted "I hope you guys had better luck finding your laughing place than we did!", which worked up a few laughs. We then entered the CM hangout, where we got one of those 5 person FP's, and later used it on Indy.

You people are SO lucky! I've made it a point to bring my camera with me everytime I go on Splash Mountain. I'm hoping that I'll get stuck on it someday and have an opportunity to get a nice photo with the AA's. Or at least get a nice long video of the characters getting through the whole song!

One time I was with my family on Indianna Jones, and it broke down on the part where you are first getting to the skeletons with spears. It was really cool with the lights on. They skeletons with spears was just air coming out of the wall making it feel like spears were hitting the jeep. We got around to the bolder part, and the boulder just sits there, spinning. Then we went down below the boulder, and I saw a spare jeep! Then we headed out into an emergency exit. I thought it was so cool!

I was stuck on Haunted Mansion all by myself. I told my friends to meet there in an hour, so I had time to go on just once.I half way around Lieota when it stopped. The lights didn't go on and Lieota kept repeating her lines. I was in there for about a half an hour before it turned back on. But luckly for me my friends were outside waiting.

I once got stuck on Thunder Mountain, on the first hill where the water parts the track. They said that if we kept going, we would have hit the other trains(comforting). So we got a free pass that allowed us to go in front of the lines. All day. So I was happy.
