Getting Rid of the Timon Parking Lot

I heard from many that they are getting rid of the Timon and Pumba parking and they are going to put new rides in, to add to DCA. Does anyone know what they are putting? I know they are going to put in a new indoor rollar coaster. :icon_ques

where did you hear there was gonna be an indoor rollercoaster? the rumor actually is a ride that's like Test Track in EPCOT but themed to Pixar's Cars. didn't we have this discussion like 5 weeks ago or something? geez how do these things keep resurfacing?

I think we all agreed that Rock N Roller Coaster is a definite no-go for DCA... especially since Rockit Mountain at Disneyland will be a similar experience.

I'd like to put the Pixar Cars in Autopia, and see that lot be used for some more attractions. They still could use another E ticket, but they also sure could use a few C or D tickets ones as well.

My hope is when they do build on the land, and fill up the property completely, they'll add a trail from Hollywood to the new area, to make the park easier to get around.

Maybe they should do a Rockin Roller Coaster with famous rock songs. There would be a schedule for which song will be played during the ride

RockIt Mountain is going to happen, we just have only rumors as to what exactly it will be. A good source over at Westcoaster called it "a mutuated Space Mountain." He also said that everything's basically in place for it, but he would not say what that was. My best guess is Rock n' Roller Coaster without the launch & inversions. If true, then it will be Superstar Limo with a lift hill. Not a good thing. Rock n' Roller Coaster itself is NOT coming to DCA. A Test Track-esque attraction themed to Cars has been rumored, but that's all it is.

sigh....POTC changing rumor, Rock It Mountain, removing timon and pumbaa parking lots. They are wasting money again. Like the way the waste HKDL, because it was sued, when it was first opened. What the hell, when a new theme park is open, it will always be crowded. Just be patient, if wait too long, don't sue it!

^^are you kidding? lol not that many people park in that parking lot anyways. the majority of guests park in the parking structure, that's what is was designed to do. so Timon is a waste of space for the most part, just an extra parking lot not used enough

Yes indeedy linklewtt.... and to expand on that... for a short time, the parking structure was the largest in the world. So it can accomodate a considerable ammount of cars. Still, I'd like to see one more parking structure go up. If they could build one just half the size as the Mickey and Friends lot, they would free up the lion king lots and they would actually add more parking spaces then they currently have.

DLP is getting the Cars Driving School ride as well as Crush's Turtle Twister. I like the rumor of DCA getting a "Cars-themed" Test Track but who knows, just rumors at this point.

^^well maybe the Cars Driving School is the Cars themed Tes Track. all we heard was that they were gonna build a Test Track-ish ride themed to Cars. not a ride EXACTLY like Test Track. so ya, maybe that is the new ride, the Cars Driving School.

Incredibles "robo-coaster" is another project that's been thrown around, just like Cars-themed attraction has been. Whenever a new attraction is desired, many "ideas" like this get dreamed up, thrown out, dreamed up again, thrown out again, eventually something is approved and then announced sometime later. It's your basic creative process. No need to get excited at all until something's been budget-approved.

I've always wanted to ride test track and if a ride like it comes to DCA, Id be soo happy. Then all of the rides that are at WDW would be at DLR (all the rides that i wanted to ride).

if they built another parking structure, thats a much better use of space. a smaller footprint with more capacity. efficiency is key.....space is of the essence. this isnt florida where its just wide open space...we cant afford to have a parking lot that isnt being utilized fully stop us from expanding and progressing. another parking structure and were set. not even too big of one...just another one....

then come up with some original rides. no copying from other places or using movies for inspiration.

The Incredables ride was green lit and is ready for construction. Its going to be put into a new part of the park called San Fransisco Land. Its going to have other but lesser themed attraction such as a new stage show planned for summer 07, called "Leather and Seafood". Its about two san franian men who go out on the town and encounter a maze...(only a few people will get that joke)... They've also confirmed a kiddie ride thats going to be sponcered by micheal jackson. Its going to be called, Kiddie Pole Bounce, Where you ride in giant cars that are the shape of childrens hands wrapped around the track and you bounce up and down a small off-white pole. I'll keep you updated :icon_lol: .

Timon wasnt that good of a charector anyway...

Yeah! On DCA is a good idea, bring the PeopleMover back on the track in Tomorromland. Make Rocket Rods special and a bit longer, and faster. It will attract more guests into the park.

that does sound, cool, and plus the turns would be bankek, and maybe they can make the cool looking rocket rods cars, zoom around a high banked curve, and make it a record breaking ride that goes faster than test track!

I for one like the idea of rocket rods a DCA because the could build the track the way it needs to be to ocomadate the rocket rods unlike before if not that then they need to "walk this way" and put ins somthing with arow smith

Test Track would be a ginormous hit for DCA, especially if it's themed after designing cars with LA freeways in mind. In fact, a ride like that would be an improvment on Test Track.
