Hey I was wondering if anyone has pictures of peter pan UPCLOSE on the columbia ship during Fantasmic!...? or a picture with YOU and peter pan? or just a picture of him!<3..lol :old_wink:...please post I would really like to see them!

I know how to, it's kind of easy. Do you see a small moutain with a sun and a yellow blackground? When you post, click and type in the URL and copy the location from your picture and paste it in the URL and then post it. If it is not cached, then it will load. Make sure it is, and when you are done. Post the picture. Also preview it for mistakes.

I don't know if this is why Disney does it in Fantasmic, but for the stage play of Peter Pan it's tradition for Peter Pan to be played by a girl.

Of course. Cathy Rigby, the most recent actress to play Peter Pan just retired. Here are some other actresses who played Peter Pan:

Maude Adams (1904)
Betty Bronsen (1924)
Mary Martin (1954)
Sandy Duncan (1972)?

Disney broke the tradition of women playing Peter Pan in 1953. Actor Bobby Driscoll played Peter. He made his debut in Song of the South and later appeared in So Dear to My Heart, and as Jim Hawkins in Treasure Island.

In 2003, A new Peter Pan film was released that starred Jeremy Sumpter as Peter.

It is also a stage tradition that the actor who plays the role of Captain Hook also plays the role of Mr. Darling

Yeah, but it's much easier to film a young boy as Peter than to have one perform onstage because you basically can't. Peter pretty much has to be played by a female onstage because he's supposed to be this little boy who's voice hasn't changed or anything. And you can't really cast a young boy in such a demanding role although I don't doubt someone has done it.

I kind of glanced it over but didn't really look that closely. I mostly just stuck with the pics of the Wendys in the parks. I'm a littl picky about Wendy, though, so I didn't really like many of the pictures. They just don't look like how I think Wendy should look.

I did, just after I posted. That is the sweetest thing I've ever heard. It just makes me all teary. Kind of makes me think of my own special Disney magic experience.

I looked at the rest of the pictures. Some of them aren't too bad. The site is really cute. But I didn't see very many pictures from the movie. There were mostly just pictures from the parks. But I really liked that story.

Even though I found the above picture under the category of Wendy in the Parks: Disneyland, I can tell that the pirate ship Peter and Wendy are sitting in is the Florida version. The one thing I'm upset about is that the Florida version of Peter Pan's Flight has Fastpass! I wish the California version had Fastpass!!!

The one thing I'm upset about is that the Florida version of Peter Pan's Flight has Fastpass! I wish the California version had Fastpass!!!

Paris' has a fastpass too. What's up with Disneyland? Forget Indy, the quote ought to go 'Peter Pan's never-ending two hour line'. (You know, the Indiana Jones and the Temple of the four hour line from the Jungle Cruise?) At least Indy has a fastpass so you don't have to wait quite so long.

It's when rides like Peter Pan's Flight don't have FP because there simply isn't the room for it. That's my guess anyways.

They could put FP machines for Peter Pan in that small bench area between the exit for Peter Pan and the exit for Mr. Toad. I waited there once for 45 minutes while Peter Pan's Flight was broken down. When it opened again, I was first in line with a humongous crowd behind me!

Its not the machines they don't have room for, its the line. The "standby" line pretty much spreads out into the walkway already. If they added a FastPass Queue, they would likely have to re-route the walkway somehow. The capacity on the ride is so low anyway that if they added Fastpass, the standby line would have to be huge.

The best time to ride Peter Pan is first thing in the morning. Anytime after that figure at least an hours wait.

Because you get to fly! And, if I remember correctly, it's the least scary of all the fantasyland rides, which means if you're a very young child that scares easily it's probably the only ride you can ride so they ride it over and over again.

Peter Pan's Flight is an awsome ride. It is now the only suspended ride in Disneyland, unless your Tink in the fireworks show. even though you are only a few feet off the ground, they did a great job making you feel like you are higher up. Especially for the young kids.

OMG yes! I saw the update it was a really cute pic..lol it was really funny what daddyB put on the second pic..think happy thoughts peter because peter looked kind of "mad" hahha i seriously couldn't stop laughing:)!! Yes I've met them before but it was the same guy so that was really co0ol....I met him last summer it was July 2004 and then again in August 6 2005 which is my pic in the signature. He was so awesome on the first time I met him.... I've never even seen a peter pan around the park and that was my first time..he was really nice and so...cute :old_wink: haha but it was awesome meeting them... so was wendy! Yes I have, On my trip from August 15-19 I met Peter for the first time in four years. I met Wendy for the first time. Have you met Captain Hook and Smee? I read somewhere that they've been seen on the Columbia not just during Fantasmic, when the ship is operating daily!

Sorry "Disney 22" I saw Peter Pan, Wendy, and Captain Hook all on the Columbia Sailing Ship during the daytime but I didn't have my camera on me, that trip!

Do you ask the cast members at the information boards if Peter Pan will be out that day...if you haven't you should, I always ask about Mary Poppins!
