As some of you already know, The Haunted Mansion FastPass has been closed for quite some time now, and I think that is just WRONG!

The Haunted Mansion Fastpass was THE BEST THEMED FASTPASS EVER! Why did they take it away in the first place? If anyone knows why, tell me!

Next, It was SO COOL! Oh wait, I already said that.

Anyway, tell me why they took away The Haunted Mansion FastPass, PLZ!

Well for now, the line hasnt been long, its just a simple 5 min. wait, why would people want to get a fastpass for a 5 min. wait, well I was told that they'll open the fastpass for Haunted Mansion again once the Haunted Mansion Holiday kicks in full force.

I've never seen the line more than 30 min on busy days, so I don't think there's a need for it. I've never been to or seen the Holiday version though, so I cant comment on that.

Yeah, they took away fast pass for pirates and HM b/c it made standby lines really long. So now the lines are on average really short b/c fast passers aren't returning to stop the line.

I dunno man, I was there not too long ago and the Line for pirates was 75 minutes. I never understood why they took fastpasses out for POTC.

I've never seen the wait for HM more than 5 minutes. And most of the time when I go on it, I just walk right in. They probably figure it's not attracting enough guests to have the FP machines running.

POTC too, I usually walk right on or there's just a small wait.

Look, I know the lines only get up to about 30min. for The Haunted Mansion, but wasn't the FastPass Distrubution the best themed ever? Why waste such a great attempt?:frown:

I went on the first weekend of summer break, trust me, the lines were LOOOOOOOOOOOONG!

No worries. The Fast Pass machines are still there for the H.M. They have to use them for the H.M.H. , otherwise everyone would have to wait an hour and a half.

By having a great theme, they probably meant the way they set up the fastpass location was neat.

It was in a small extra area to the left of the main entrance. It was like a small side-crypt surrounding by brick and they had the phantom manor's musicbox playing.

I don't think the ride isn't attracting enough people -- its just that it loads rather quickly.

They took FastPass away because this ride usually has short lines.

You also have to keep in mind that not many people were using Haunted Mansion's FP when it was on the same network as Indy, Space Mtn., Splash Mtn and the rest. They took it off the main network thinking it would increase its use, no one really noticed, but it was still good for a couple afternoon rides. It was nice, one less 30 minute line to wait in after all. Notice how FP didn't severly inflate the line's length. When Ouimet's regime came in, they prioritized the FP system & now it's meant for rides in high demand.

Like others have said, HM & POTC's current demands don't call for it. When HMH comes online though, that ride is extremely high in demand. Therefore FP becomes a necessary, and greatly used, service. Fortunately, HMH remains on it's own FP network, at least it has every year since HM went on its own network. So you can grab a FP for HMH regardless of other FP's you might hold or plan to hold.

I know this is off topic, but when is the Haunted Mansion Holiday up and running? I'm going October 11-12, will it be up then or not? I haven't been able to find the answer to that.

I'm afraid they will close Haunted mansion down for good because it won't be popular because it's wait is about 5-10 minutes.

^ Dude they would never do that!

HM and POTCB don't nned fast pass beccause there lines move really quickly and never seen a line longer than 40 minutes Execpted for HMH when it's over an hour and still worth the wait if your unlucky enough to not get a FP before the run out

No, you're not weird at all! I am like you, I love waiting in line for HM--there is so much to see! I always discover something funny on a tombstone that I hadn't noticed before or something else I hadn't noticed about the exterior of the HM. It's sort of like a little treasure hunt =) I am disappointed when there is no wait and we can quickly walk through all the way to the inside of the attraction. I am also one of those people who lag back after we get off the elevator so I can take my time looking at everything before I get in the doom buggy. I guess I better be careful or I might end up being the 1000 happy haunt LOL =)
