Yes they should come back. I was and still am very upset they took out CBJ. I am even more upset that they would replace it with Pooh!!!! Can you tell I hate that bear?

I voted no. That show was corny. I liked it, but it isn't enough for the show to be brought back. It just took no thought like some of the Epcot attractions.

I would love to see the Country Bear Jamboree come back. The Pooh ride although more then likely a treat for the little ones, it is just not for me. I don't get why they can't have both.

Thats true, im sure they could have worked something out and had both there, but I guess thats the way things are, I loved that show, I was really suprised it was gone, I will admit this, it was better then Walt Disneys Enchanted Tiki Room, the Dole whip lets me stay  . But I was glad I found the CBJ tribute in the Pooh ride, all I said to Max, Buff, and Melvin was "Hey fellas, hows it hangin'?"

I haven't even been on pooh yet b/c I'm boycotting it! LOL But seriously, I wish they would bring it back to DLR...even (as someone has mentioned on the boards b4) if it was in Cal. Adventure where golden dreams is. It would tie into california theme and golden state with brother bear too.

I always fell alseep in that show as a kid and that was after eating a caramel apple and a full head of cotton candy. It was pretty bland. I cant stand Small world either. But hey, TONS of people love both those attractions. Majority rules here people... Bring it back !! (I'll just stay away from it .. heheh) Leave Pooh there too ! thats a trippy ride!

it's totally possible. as i've said before, they can keep pooh where he is and put CBJ in the Little Patch of Heaven petting zoo. there's more than enough space there and even behind it since they aren't gonna revive the Hunchback show.

I voted yes cuz even though i admit the CBJ was a little corny, i loved their spin off shows like the Vacation Hoedown and the Christmas Hoedown. if Disneyland put that much time and effort to make new clothes and new animatronics and new voice overs, then the CBJ deserve to be back!

yes the bears should return
yes pooh is smelly
pooh wasnt worth the trouble
I think that winnie the pooh should leave
children may like it but by the time they're older they wont even remember it
us fanatics have remembered the bears and miss them
thats why the bears should come back
not to say winnie doesnt belong in fantasyland or even a different building in critter country
but the bears rock and that is all I have to say.

Hey, I only got to go see the Country Bear Jamboree once. At the time the theater was almost empty, it was a shame. I loved it dearly. I saw it the time I took my son to Disneyland in spring 2001 (April), it was gone alredy by November 2001 I believe? When I went back to Disneyland in 2002 (July), there was construction going on in the building. The funny thing is the Cast Member treated me like I was two! I ask her why they got rid of it and if so, what were they putting in the space, her response: The Country Bears went to Hollwood and made a movie, so they thought they were too good to preform there. What a joke!!!

Anyway, yes. I do want them to bring it back!

^^seriously, if the country bears thought their movie was so good that they could quit performances at disneyand, then they are insane in the membrane! whoever thought up the concept of that movie should be burned alive on a stake...rotisserie style!

Pooh was a total mistake, and the bears should come back. They are trying to appeal to the younger people...although the people here on VF make up a large portion of regulars, so maybe they should take advice from us.

LOL, no I'm pretty sure it was the show. They could bring it back but I think it would require an entirely new script. However, the voice over characters are long gone, so It wouldnt be nearly as good. I personally think the money could be btter spent on updating some existing rides rather then bringing back CBJ.

This picture makes me sad. Poor lonely little bear. It looks like he is waiting for something to happen that won't happen. Or for someone to show up that will never come. Out of anger for this little bear I will say, KAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!

You know, it seems there is a lot of interest on VF for bringing back Country Bears and America Sings. Maybe America Sings could retake the Carousel Theater and let the Bears do a folk song show in the first phase, then a country show in the second. Or maybe let the Bears show the history of American music all the way through?

Put the Country Bears in DCA near Grizzly Peak. Problem solved! :)

Baby Oscar. I used to see the CBJ show a lot when I was young. The Hoedown to specific and the Christmas special.

I LOVED it. I love Country Music. I Love anything to do with Country Music. I Love anything to do with the Bears. I Love anything to do with the West. I Love anything to do with Bear Sing Country Songs in the West!

Okay, well anyway. That show must come back. Dang Winnie the Pooh. I like him and all but his ride just sucks.

Pinocchio85 you are correct, Oscar currently resides in the Frank Wells Building, in the Disney Archives.along with Pinocchio, and a lot of other really cool stuff (Multi-plane camera anyone?) I took the photo back in June (those are my daughters). I didn't take too many photos because I only had the 8mb memory card in my camera, and I did not want to be appear rude to our hosts'

well the poll already closed...

but i would have voted no.

I know. Sorry everybody. But I feel the show was old, and outdated. Its still a classic disney attraction, and its still in operation in Orlando... where it first opened (i think we all forget that occasionally). But I'm glad they decided to put something new.

With that said... I still dont like pooh too much. The imagineers call it a classic dark ride.... I think "standard" is more like it. THeres nothing in that ride that wows me. Its just a bland retelling of pooh, with no wow factors... or even generous attention to detail. I would have loved if the whole ride was outdoors... it would have made the 100 acre woods seem more real.

I agree! It would have been more interesting as well. But i'd have to say no..i saw it once when i was little and i barely remember it..maybe thats because i didnt like it too much and it didnt impress me. Pooh isnt the best ride either but i'd choose that over CBJ

Those of you who claim that the CBJ has NO THOUGHT have just insulted the
same imagineer that added the lost safari to the Jungle Cruise, built America Sings, and many of the gags in Haunted Mansion and POTC, Marc Davis.

OH! The Country Bears are coming to my journal soon!

 Awesome idea!! It would fit in well with the theme, and put something fun in that area of the park. Now how can we get the imagineers to listen?

Just wondering, but does anyone have a picture of the construction wall that went up in front of CBJ? I remeber walking up to it with my family and having our jaws dropping saying "What?! The bears are gone?!"

Seriously, they should put the bears back in the Redwood Creek Area, or in Thunder Ranch. There's plenty of room there, and they would co-mingle with the themes well.

Bobsled Rider
05-22-2006, 03:33 PM
The Bears should come back, with a brand new show, and in DCA. That park needs a good show much more than DL does and CBJ would fit in nicely in GPRR, after all the show was originally planed for a ski resort Walt was going to open in CA so it fits the CA theme

Yeah sorry Melissa it was kind of corny.. Alot of times when we went to the show my Dad almost fell asleep..My Dad likes it though he says it lets him rest from walking around LOL. Its better than Winnie the Pooh though. I think letting it go was ok because it was not as popular as most rides..
