Ok, hubby isn't sure if he will get called into work, and is a lil nervous about a trip when he might not have a job to come back to. So we aren't going, BUT....my mom and brother are still going and so all the info I got from everyone, I will pass on to her.
So, to get back to what I meant to write about, I want to send her with a little 'Disney Scavenger Hunt'. So I'm going to write up a little list with things like 'a picture of you in front of the floral mickey at the front gates', 'a mickey lollipop', things like that. Nothing that will cost them a lot to get or do, but just some fun stuff to bring back for me. lol. Then it's kinda like I'm there.
So does any have any ideas that they think could be fun for the list. Hard things to find, easy things. pictures of them on stuff or doing things, small objects to bring home. All that good stuff.
Thanks for any suggestions.

I think they should find someone with golden/normal mickey ears with your name and take a picture of it. ;)

You can have them find Winnie the Poohs House in Critter Country and take a picture of it :p
Here is a picture of it

Or you can them take a picture of one of the Golden Ride Vehicles. Here are some pics of the ride Vehicles

Thanks for those suggestions, I think I'm gonna have them take a pic of themselves eating a churro in front of the castle too, and for MY sake they have to get a pic with tigger! lol

Oh my gosh, this is a great idea!
Wouldn't that make a great website? If I had the time, I would totally do this. Every few months, post a new Scavenger Hunt. Folks take the list with them to the park, then post photo albums of their version of that quarterly Scavenger Hunt. Then every 3 months or so, a new hunt with new "clues" and new photo albums.
FUN!
It could seasonally match what is going on at the park, too. Like right now, all the 50th stuff going on would be featured. When a new attraction opens, or a new set of characters are unleashed on the park, it would be added to the next hunt.
Who would love to do this? I know I would!

The scavenger hunts are something i have always wanted to do also...
We are going in October, and out of the 9 people going i am the only one that has ever been to Disneyland. So I thought it would be a great idea to have this Scavenger hunt cover the "Heartbeat" Areas of Disneyland. I am actually working on 3 different Scavenger hunts right now, because the group ranges from age 6 to 60 litterally.
I have a few different types of hints or clues. The first being the Find it clue and take your picture with it.
the next is a tough trivia question, they are going to try to figure out the answer themselves, but will end up finding and asking a cast member for the answer.
Finally there are the hidden mickey's. Of course. Which will be totally fun because they will find their own versions of Hidden mickeys as well as deliberately placed ones on rides.
Those are just some of the basic ones i came up with..... would love to hear other peoples ideas for clues and such....
and as far as doing an online Scavenger hunt, i think its a great idea. I think it would be an even better idea to make it so that you could only download the list before they do the actually hunt to prevent them from sneaking peeks....that would also provide great incorrect picture answers too because, if they take a picture and its wrong, its still a picture and still a memory!
Okay i feel like i am rambling...So later everybody
