Celeb sightings at the parks

Okay - since the big 'O' was at the park - and just reading the Whoopi at the park story - I've seen a ton of celebs at the parks

Not only the ABC preview and Soap Weekends - just in general - the celebs have always been kind - some stood out and you wonder, do they want to be noticed? or is this just 'them' - and some blend so well you have to do a triple take to figure out who they are!

We met Tim Meadows (SNL) he's a small guy, a bunch of kids pointed him out and instead of everyone mobbing him I went over and asked him, and he said he wasn't him - so I yelled back at the kids 'Nope your wrong' he came up to me and said thank you and went back to his family

Saw Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora with kids and peeps in tow - dressed in all leather and chains - stomping down main street while everyone was waiting for the parade - I'm thinking, what????? what a way to go to DL!

Saw Tom Cruise, Penelope and kids; Bob Saggett and kids (boy is he tall! and Tom Cruise is short!), saw John Ritter there 2 days before he died.

Now I have to wrack my brain, but there have been a ton!

You know it's always been - 'oh! thats so - in - so' and not looking for anyone- I've always been wrapped up in the moments and what I'm doing - I always ended up with (as I'm snapping my fingers thinking it will help me remember) and ususally my kids will tell me - 'oh mom thats......'

There was a girl from BOY MEETS WORLD at the candy store with her boyfriend - my kids hid and started giggling - I'm thinking there must be a boy from school or some REALLY good looking guy there - I'm looking around and I go up to them and I ask them 'what are you guys doing?" They point to a small crowd and tell who it is - I ask them 'who, show me' - so they point her out - well being the Mom that I am and I live to embarrass my kids I walk up to her and ask her 'my kids (I point) over there, tell me your so-in-so from BOY MEETS WORLD' she tells me yes and she motions the kids to come out of hiding, she autographs one of the basketballs my daughter won at DCA and my kids were giggling all day long - it was like meeting Will Smith or something.

But it's never planned or anything - and I found most celebs don't look at all like they do in anything they've ever done - which makes me feel a heck of a lot better! LOL

When Space Mountain was open a few years ago, and Mario Lopez (Slater on SAVED BY THE BELL) was the Mission Control guy, I got in line a little behind Lark Voorhies (Lisa Turtle on SBTB), who was laughing and talking to her girlfriends about Mario on the screen.

I don't know if he is considered a celebrity or not, but when I was there this past June I saw Dog the Bounty Hunter. He was walking out of a CM area by Splash, and he had security with him. It was just him though, all by himself. I was so shocked to see him I said really loud "That's Dog!" and he looked way worse in real life then he does on TV;)

I haven't seen any at DL (aside from the celebs at the 50th ceremonies on May 5 and July 17) but I saw quite a few at WDW. At WDW, I saw Kurt Warner (the then-Rams-quarterback) getting mobbed outside of PotC. I also waited in line at Toluca Turkey Leg Co at MGM, and in line to my left was Stephen King, and in line to my right was Dan Marino. :icon_lol:

well it wasn't at Disneyland it was at DCA, the year 2004, the date April 24th, the ride, Tower of Terror, opening for cast members only(my sister had connections and we went with a cast member who works for Disney). After riding the Tower of Terror, me, my sister, and my sister's friend who is a cast member. Now in the gift shop all the sudden it came to my attention, I saw an actor I wouldn't have guessed would be there. It was none other than Nicholas Cage. In a Striped suit, brown dress shoes. with brown hair and sort of balding. And I am like OMG, in my head, and I turned to the attention to my sister's friend and told him that, "who does that guy remind you of, " and he said Nicholas Cage, and I told him that was Nicholas Cage from toe up, and all the sudden his eyes lit up, like a child, so I actually got two treats that day, I got to ride the Tower of Terror, before it opened to the public, and I got to see Nicholas Cage all in one day.

When I was younger, probably like 12 or so (I'm 20 now) I was in the line for Indiana Jones, not long after it had opened. Jason Marsden (played Rich on Step by Step). He was behind us in line. I didn't get an autograph or a pic or anything, but I wish I had asked. But my dad told him that we (my brother and I) had noticed him, and so he said hello and we all introduced ourselves. Just a short lil hello. He was there with some girl who was really whiney and annoying, lol. But it was really neat cuz that was a LONG line up prolly about an hour of being able to nonchalantly turn around and glance, and overhear, lol.

That was the only celeb I've noticed.

I saw John Stamos (Uncle Jesse, Full House) posing for photographers by the King Arthur Carrousel on May 27, 2005. I later went on the railroad and saw some empty seats, but they wouldn't let us on. The CM, Elliot, said that it was for a "special guest." Immediatly, I knew it was John Stamos.

I don't think I have met as many as most other fans. I was trying not to make a big deal about them being there since it was obvious that they were trying to be inconspicuous.

Cuba was just walking around with a stroller trying to relax with his kids by Haunted Mansion, Tim was feasting on a huge sub sitting on a curb in Main Street with who looked like his familia, and Eddie was walking between the Matterhorn and the submarine lagoon with, I believe, his kids or someone's kids.

They were all still very cool and polite people and I walked away with a few autographed park maps!

Well, way back when, before the scandal, my parents saw Micheal Jackson in line for (what else?) Peter Pan. They only saw him for a second before people started realizing who he was and he had to leave. Sadly, I wasn't born yet...

Back in February, I was buying some fries from the McDonalds wagon outside Big Thunder & I noticed somewhat of a small crowd of kids & teens just a few feet away. I went to check what's going and noticed a kid in the center. I looked hard and saw that it was Steven Anthony Lawrance(sp?)(Beans of Even Stevens). He was with a friend. After talking with some of the kids, Steven & his friend walked towards NOS. It's really funny what the kids said after, one girl calls someone on her cell & screams "IT'S BEANS, IT'S BEANS!!", one kid says "Let's go stalk him." It was really funny.


I'm still kind of upset I didn't get to take a picture of Steven because I didn't have a camera at the time(it was a month before I bought my digital camera). :(

But I saw Conan O'Brien when I was in New York! He was on the third floor of Banana Republic, and I was on the sidewalk after just walking out of Radio City. I looked up, and there he was looking out of the window into New York below... I was soo mad at myself later on the bus that I didn't get a picture; my sister was obsessed with him before.

Okay, that was random... Well, I'm "famous." I was on the Hawaiian news with the Miss Hawaii (I think it was something like that) people, and I took a picture with my sister with them (because we saw the news crew set up and whatnot) and lo and behold they put us on tv.
I also modeled scuba gear at Hawaii, but the pictures didn't turn out. I got a free t-shirt though..

I saw Nicolas Cage at Disneyland too! This was back in 98. He was wearing all black (total stand out) with an entourage heading in to Adventureland. I bet they were going to Club 33. (Only a couple of weeks before, I was in China Town, SF and saw Nicolas Cage doing a photo shoot in a bar, so I joked that he was stalking me).

A cast member I worked with said she rode Thunder Mtn the same time Michael Jackson did. And another CM saw Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Kevin Kline, and Phoebe Cates. They were with their kids watching Fantasmic from the upstairs viewing area.

When I was in WDW back in June, I saw "the Bachelor". I had no idea who he was, but the Captain on the boat from Epcot to MGM pointed him out. He and his fiance (?) were on some boat near The Boardwalk. "Big deal". It was also ESPN day there and I saw Mary Lou Retton, Amanda Beard??, and Bruce Jenner. But that doesn't count since they were suppose to be there. (but I saw Mary Lou! hee!)

I have been there the same day as Catherine Zeta Jones, I never saw her but I know because my mum baught a people magazine a couple days later and in the section of "star sitings" she was in there riding the teacups on a day that I was there. she was with her husband and son. I also stayed on the same floor as Cuba Gooding Jr. at the Disneyland hotel this past august. Again I didnt get to see him which made me dissapointed but I too know this because my sister and Dad saw him on two seperate occasions entering his room. it was like the 12th floor or something on the south tower I think called Bonita.

I met Tom Hanks at one of the vendors in Downtown Disney. It was a few years back when those balls on bungees were popular and I was standing there waiting to play with one, when the guy standing next to me tapped my shoulder and handed me the one he'd been playing with. I took it and said thanks, but didn't realize who it was until I heard the people around me talking. That's when I did my double take and sure enough.... it was him. :o)

I also met Billy Blanks, the Tae Bo guy when I went with my college softball team once. We got a team picture taken with him because he "beat us up" every morning at 6am conditioning practice. :op

Well, I rode the Storybookland Boats with Tim Allen and his family once, I performed at the KIIS-mas Party with Rick Dees, Arnold Schwarzenegger (who I met again last year when I was the Mascot for the Sacramento River Cats -- got Arnold to autograph a baseball for me as well as a picture of him and me in costume!) Took pictures with the scientist guy from Terminator 2 --don't know his name, but he was the one who had pieces of the Terminator in the 2nd film--and his little girl was dressed up like Ariel. Saw Greg from Dharma and Greg. Took pictures with Don Johnson and his daughter!

So far i have seen 2 celebs at the park. The first one is that "Tiger dude"(the one that got plastic surgery to look more like a tiger) I saw him walking into the Tiki room. The second was a backstreet boy (I forget his name but it was the one who had a lot of problems with drugs and stuff) my mom spotted him when we were in line for the maliboomer.

I was there one night with my baby brother during the Christmas season a few years ago, and the entire LA football team was there. Some teenage boys waiting in line near us were teasing my brother for not recognizing any of them...the players all had special bracelets on and didn't have to stand in any lines. I didn't know Disney did that.

^ If you're a celeb of any kind, Disney loves you. If you're a regular paying Joe, Disney feels no remorse about restricting your day w/o any sort of notice or warning. Most of the time, the former is the cause of the latter effect.

well i was very fortuante to work at the disneyland resort!
from 03/02-11/05 I worked at Disney's Calfornia Adventure and i was very fortuante to see and meet celebs on stage and back stage. It was a time that i will never forget!!! Us as cast members are told never to speak to Celebs since they already get attention from the public. But i vowed to myself that if i ever met my idol i would speak to them! (whether or not disney approved it!) in 2003 I met Johnny Depp!! (it was the week of the pirates premire at DL) it was backstage, he was going thorugh the cast member back entrance with his wife,he said (hi how are you? having fun?)and was going to Soarin Over California. During ABC primetime preview weekend in 03 i saw a lot of stars! I had my break with Christina Aguilera, i saw George Lopez, Lindsay Lohan, Raven, Katey Sagal, and stood right next to Mark Paul Gosselaer. I was backstage in Tower of Terror during the first week of operation when Kelly Osborne came off the ride. Then in 2004 I saw Anne Hathaway for the Princess Diaries premire in HPB. Then in 2005 during the 50th Celebration i got was greeted by Leann Rimes, saw Ryan SeaCrest, and Kelly Clarkson and then finally Julie Andrews! She was so wonderful and lovely i almost cried when she said "how do you do" it was a magical moment for me and all those years seeing her on TV and now she was finally in front of me ! I felt as if she was marry poppins!She has a wonderful presence and is a very gracious lady. I also saw Disney Ex's Micheal Eisner,John Lassetter, Art Linkletter, Steven Davison, and John Addis (they created the 50th fireworks & parades) So yeah whenever you see a guest relashion's host with a group of people surrounding them that's a celeb or someone important!. I was very fortunate to see a lot of them and i will never forget the experience i had working there.

I saw Arnold Schwarzenegger in July of 2000. We all rushed to the Rocket Rods right when the park opened because the lines were enormous the day before and we ended up waiting about 45 minutes anyway because Arnold got to get his own private ride. All The CM's wanted to meet him and it was pretty annoying but cool at the same time. Also saw Travis Barker last April.

I have spotted a few off the wall celebs in my time. I'm not so much of a star struck kinda person. In fact i feel rather uncomfortable approaching celebs. I just feel like they are there for the same reason I am and it's not anyones place to try and ruin it. But anyhooo. I did talk to one celeb only because it was killing me that i was not sure if it was him or not. Plus he was standing right in front of us in line to get on Casey Jr. I felt dumb just practically trying to stare at him unobviously. LOL. My hubby was getting a lil annoyed with me because he didnt think it was him but I just knew it was. Finally I kinda purposely said outloud to my hubby that I bet him $100 it wasn't Marilyn Manson, my husband got so embaressed cuzz the guy turned to me and said very under his breath that I shouldnt make such a silly bet. I apologized and explained that I didnt want to bother him but I was just convinced it was him but I had never seen him at that time without makeup. Well I was right it was him. At that time with the rep he had I would have never thought he would be so nice and normal. I've always been a big MM fan since he first came out but after that day I never let anyone talk badly about him in my presence. He was such a gentle and just all around cool guy. He stood there with us in line and chit chatted about the park and how often he would come. We asked him a few general questions and let him know we were big fans. He signed my sons Disney autograph book which is hilarious. He was about 5 at the time and now is 10. About 3 yrs ago he found his autograph book after we had moved and asked who the heck marilyn Manson was we showed him a few CD's. He said he remembered talking to him but that he didnt remember him looking so scarey. LOL. But hey now he thinks he's so cool being able to tell his friends he met and hung out in line at DL with Marilyn Manson. How many 10 yr olds can say that? LOL
Also I have seen Bean there on 2 diffrent occassions, other celebs I have seen : John Madden, Cuba, Diana Ross, Elijah Woods, Daryl Hanna, Brook Burk, Hulk Hogan, jessica simpson and Nick Lachey, Joe Montana, jeff Goldbloom, jeremy Irons, Pam Anderson and Tommy Lee, Bruce Willis and Demi, (btw I swear I caught Bruce checking me out but my husband says BS)LOL, robin Williams and also Steven Spielberg. It seems like everytime I go I see someone. I'm always looking out for Johnny Dep . Now he's the only celeb I would go stoopid over. LOL

I was there when they were filming the christmas day parade. And I saw Ryan Seacrest talking about the floats. But, it was nothin special

I have always wanted to see someone like Orlando Bloom at Disneyland, but no such luck. I did however, see Regis and Kelly at the start of the 50th anniversary. My friend got hit by Kelly's body guard (it was the best moment of his life, he says)

I saw Spencer Breslin(the kid and some disney channel movies and the santa clause 2) getting off the Jungle cruise once. Me and my sister also thought we saw Casey from Laguna Beach but it was just a CM who resembled her.

Since I was there the 50th, I saw Ahnold, Michael Eisner, Bob Iger, and Diane Disney Miller. I heard that Stevie Wonder was there, but I didn't see him. (and he wouldn't have seen me!)

During my trip this November I stayed at some hotel close to Disneyland which wasn't my Grand Californian I love so much.. But anyways, we arrived at our hotel and noticed some bus parked slightly in view that was in the parking lot of out hotel. It said Gwen Stephanie right on the side of it. My whole family was all hoping to see her somewhere in the park or our hotel, but the word was she was at the hotel across from us. Someone also told my father she was actually there to do some concert further away. Never saw her though..A wierd coincidence is that on the drive there my friend was on the phone with her dad when we were driving up there. He told her Gwen Stephanies bus was actually stopped in front of his shop for a rest. She kind of wanted to see it. She also wasn't there when we saw it in front of the hotel... her eyes weren't ment to see that big black bus.
