Hey guys, I'd love to get a check list going, of things to do, and things to bring on a trip to Disneyland (for out of towners especially).
So if anyone and everyone wants to make suggestions and then I'll come and update this first post every now and then, and before long we should have a nice, organized list for everyone. (Including me, cuz I'm leaving for DLR on Sept 10th).

Things to do before leaving:
- Book hotel (and get park tickets) about 2 weeks before trip
- Buy lots of flim for camera
-Set a budget for spending on each type of expense (food, gifts, etc..)
-Make dinning reservations ahead of time
-Try to arrange for a fridge in your room, really handy!
-Check weater forecast for your duratin of trip.

Things to bring:
-Camara/Camcorder/Digital Camera, batteries, charger, memory card
-Fanny pack or small bag to haul your stuff around the parks
-Sunscreen, chapstick, a hat, sunglasses, hairties
-Cash
-Warm clothing for the cooler evenings
-Aspirin, pain reliever
-Pillow or teddy from home (for comfort)
-More than one type of footwear
-Cooler for food on the trip, snacks for trip and at park, water bottles
-Extra bag to bring all your disney treasures home in
-The ALL IMPORTANT ***TICKETS***
-Bathroom essentials (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc..)

I would suggest a digital camera if possible... there's LOTS to take pictures of and that way you can take all the pics you want (with a big enough memory stick) and you won't have to waste film or buy a lot.

-Sunscreen if you're into that
-Cash (I like to use cash instead of a credit card, it keeps you at a fixed amount to spend)
-Depending on when you are going, a sweatshirt for at night

That's it's for now... keep it light and simple, you don't want to have to haul too much around the park

batteries
charger for the camcorder
credit card for those big dinners/purchases
chewing gum (if you are into that)
asprin/pain reliever (a must)
chapstix
small backpack in case a fannypack is not big enough
2 pairs of foot ware
hat
pillow/teddy bear from home (you always sleep better)
if you are flying, extra carry bag for all the things you buy
if you are driving a cooler for snacks and drinks for the road

As for clothes keep it to a minimum, most hotels have a laundry so you can always wash your clothes if you need to. If you are like us you will buy several items of clothing at the parks anyway.

things to do before your disney-trip:
1.) Decifer how many people are planning to go on this trip
2.)set up a budget for whatever the trip will consist of(ex. Money for food, Merchandise, hotel rooms, gas, plane tickets, etc...).
3.)book a hotel at whatever budget you are fixed with, and work with it.(reccomendation get a hotel that sells disney tickets within its facilities) and see if the hotel has the Disneyland Resort Shuttles that take you to the park and back to your hotel, or if the hotel is within walking distance, such as across the street from the main entrance.
4.)call the dining reservations for special restaurants such as the famous Blue Bayou, Corner Cafe, and the ever popular Ariels Grotto.
5.)pack the essentials that you need for the trip, clothes that are easy to breath in, shoes that are comfortable to walk in for hours, sunblock, hats(or if you want to be festive Golden Mickey Ears), and I know some people think this is weird and everything but...bring your own basic bathroom essentials(shampoo, conditioner, razors, soap, etc...). And if possible for any trip of any kind, bring something that will entertain your needs on those times when you just want to relax for 10-20 minutes in the hotel room.
6.)Don't forget to pack your inner child and child at heart.!!!!!hehehe
7.)Well need I explain this one, HAVE FUN @ the Happiest Celebration on Earth.!!!!!!!

Do you want a list of things to bring to Disneyland, or stuff to bring on the whole trip in General... those would be 2 very different lists for me.for example, the pillow and 2 pairs of shoes above... probably not needed in the park, but good for the whole trip in general

I was thinking, mostly just the Disney aspect of the trip. For in DLR area and at your hotel.

Hotel room amenties-make sure you get a refrierator. It will come in real handy.
The day in DL, have a nice backpack & carry a few bottles of water, then you will be able to fill'em up when you need to. Comfy shoes,sunglasses,etc,ect...
