We were on the Roger Rabbit Car Toon Spin when that little boy was his by a ride vehicle. We were stuck on the part where you go through the toon hole...my brother was getting a little bored so he just started spinning us for about ten minutes, I couldn't stop him, he's younger but the same size as me.
After we got off, I threw up everything that I ate that year and then some!

the only time I was ever stuck on a ride was BLAB, we sat for 10 minutes before they anounced that the CM's would be coming to escort everybody off the ride.

I wouldn't say it was a bad experiance, just a minor waste of time.
but we did get a good look at the ride durring our walk-thru!!!

I donno, I like getting stuck on attractions, especially if its the last ride of the day. I've gotten stuck on Splash Mountain, Roger rabbit's Car Toon spin (and evacuated), Haunted mansion, Haunted Mansion Holiday and at California Adventure, California Screamin'. And i've enjoyed them all.:icon_lol: Well....maybe not California Screamin';)

I got stuck in Indiana Jones Adventure twice, one in the boulder room part, our jeep got stuck in the middle of the boulder scene, we were stuck for 20 minutes, the boulder hasn't come out and Indy is watching from above. Then our jeep moved again. Then we stop near the finale, when we almost in the station. We waited for 15 minutes to get moving again.

Never had a worst memory but I can tell you my doombuggy stopped right in front of Jack and Zero during HMH for seven minutes. I had the time of my life watching his animatronic move.

Same thing happened to me. For some reason I always get stuck in that one spot. I've only went through HMH once without it stopping at that spot. I've gone on that ride 6 or 7 times in my whole life and only once it didn't brake down in that spot. I think its fun to watch Jack and Zero too. :D

Serious. It gives me more time to look at all the stuff behind the scenes. It is even better when they turn the lights on. I really want that to happen to me on HM. I had it happen to me on the old Space Mountain right at the bottom. Very cool.

I got stuck on winnie the poo and got off at the very end of it, so there was nothing to see

The very worst time I got stuck on a ride was IASW, we got stuck in between Italy and Ireland. My moms friend came with us with here daughter,
the song annoyed her so much she cryed, she was 9. I am 13, I wanted to cry too :icon_roll . All of the boats were backed up for some odd reason  .

Once I got stuck in HM, the Doom Buggy stopped in front of the grandfather clock. I was there for 5 minutes watching the claw shadow on the clock before moving on.

The worst time was in Big Thunder back in June 2003. I was with my mom & sister, and we were on the train & it stopped just before leaving the cave. The worst part about it was there was a group of girls behind us & they were talking rather loudly & their voices sounded like really perky. This irritated me, my mom, and my sis (who was 14 at the time) She(my sis) almosted wanted to throw a punch at them. We found that the ride broke down and had to get off. Cool thing about it is that I got to see the bat cave with the lights on.

Ironiclly, it was Friday the 13th when Big Thunder broke down.

Only been on one ride when it stopped (well, stopped for a long time) at Disney and that was (surprise surprise) Haunted Mansion!!! I got stuck right in front of Madam Leota and we were there for absolutely aggges. I went to my favourite UK theme park last Wednesday and a ride there broke down while we were queueing for it... just like HM it was one of those rides where the cars are moving all the time. Those see, to go wrong all the time!! :icon_roll

I've always wanted to have to evacuate on Pirates though. I'm desperate to get a walk through of the town scenes. I can see those 'lil doors and I just wanna walk through 'em!!! :icon_lol: My boat has stopped ONCE (and not just for a regular jam) but then it started again!!!! CM's came outa the 'lil doors too. I was thinking "Uh... is it gonna happen.. yes?! ...............NO!!!" Typical.

Simba one - I love the picture in your signature.

I don't mind being stuck on rides really - the one time it was a little annoying was in the HM going down the hill where you feel like you are laying on your back - I don't particularly like that, but I wouldn't say its a bad experience either.

Had a Buzz fastpass and about 30 minutes to kill.
We decided to do the monorail.

Got to the bank heading into Hollywood Backlots and stopped.
Fortunately, because we were in the front, we could hear that another train had run over a large branch near the Matterhorn.
It was interesting to hear all the chatter between the control and the drivers.

We soon moved forward to the DTD station.
Unfortunarely, they shut the monorail down for a while, for track inspection, and we had to walk from DTD back to Tomorrowland!

OMY! I was stuck on IASW also and it traumatized me for life!!! Those creepy dolls singing that song over and over again!!! Ahhhh! I was about ready to jump out of my boat and swim the rest of the way out! I was in my 20's when that happend and I didn't go on the ride again for about 23 years! Even then I almost had a panic attack when I got in the boat! Anyone who says they don't mind being stuck on a ride will change their tune if they're ever stuck on IASW! I Promise!

LOLOL- Creepy dolls -you know, I have always had an intense dislike for dolls (and clowns). When I was really little, I used to have to try SO hard not to cry if someone gave me a doll as a present. I do actually like Small World though, I don't know why its different to me... I especially like the Holiday version.

Why thank you very much!! I adore PP (I'm totally in love with it) so I felt it summed me up pretty well!!

And I know what you mean about being stuck on HM at the backwards downhill part. I forgot about it at first but I've been stuck there too. Can't say it was a huge thrill but it gave me time to look at the ceiling of the building the ride takes place in. :icon_lol: If you're going to be on a ride when it breaks down at DL... I bet 9/10 times it'll be HM

Now that's the ONE ride I would definitely NOT want to get stuck on. Like you, I think the singing would actually affect me mentally. :icon_lol: It's bad enough for the time period you're in there for anyway let alone unnecessary time. Oh the sheer thought of it is making me want to hold my ears...

I got stuck on Indiana Jones twice. The first time on the bridge which wasn't horrible compared to the second time. The second time was in the area where it starts going dark and my friends and I could not see a thing for 20 minutes.

I dont really have any memories of being stuck on a ride. Ive had the occasional delays in HM, oh yeah I remember one. I got stuck on POTC right at the end of the ride, be for you start going back up the hill. We were stuck there for a good 20 min. all the boats where backed up. The boats kept hitting each other and it was annoying. And I would get stuck on the rocket rods all the time! Like 20-30 mins everytime I rode that ride, but they would keep us on the ride until it would start up again, and then when it returned to the station, they would always let us ride it again! But... half the time it would break down then too... Ohh gotta love the Rocket Rods!

My worst memory was being stuck on the haunted mansion. I was in the attic with the "I Do " ghosts. When I was in the middle of the room, the ride stopped. I kept being scared by the pop up ghosts until the ride went again 15 minutes later.

I've been fortunate - I have never really been stuck on a ride for an extended amt of time. My sister got stuck on either Splash or Thunder (can't remember which, but she had to be led off the ride). I have been stuck for a few minutes on HM, just before the graveyard scene and the Doom Buggie turns backwards and you see the raven. It was kind of relaxing.

One memory that has stuck out in my mind was a long time ago. I went with my cousins(they were about 9-10yrs), and they only ever go on vacation when my family goes. So it was late at night, and my cousins wanted to do Space Mountain as our last ride for the trip. But on our way there, I suggested Star Tours(which was my fav ride at the time). So we make a B line and go to Star Tours, and of course the ride breaks down for a bit, but we make it on. By the time we finish it, it's almost 12, and we have a chance to make it to Space Mountain- but their mom says it's too late and my cousins had to leave.

The looks on my cousins faces were like :( I have been back to Disneyland many times since then, but they have never gone back, so yeah I feel bad about that still.

I was stuck on Indiana Jones twice. The first time was at the very end where Indy is waiting for you and he crashed th boulder. I got to get a good look at him. The second time was awful. We had to wait for 15 minutes before we could enter the ride and the Chamber of Destiny. We were going fine until we were about to make that hard right turn in the dark and go into the rat cave. We also got stuck at the beginning of the dart corridor and right before we go to where the boulder is. We escaped the boulder without and stops. I remember one time the boulder wasn't rolling and was just sitting there.

ok, we just got back from the parks and I must say, it seems like we got stuck a lot. The worst by far was at the top of the last lift hill before the big drop on splash mountain. We were stuck at a 40 degree angle for 10 minutes and felt like we were going to go backwards down the hill. We also got stuck for about 15 minutes in Pirates right at the auction scene, and it was kind of funny because how many times can you hear "we want the redhead" before you want to just give her to the pirates on the other side!! Also, they turned the sound off at one point and that was quite interesting as well. We also got stuck on HM, Buzz, and Small world

Whenever I go on HM I always get stuck when you're going backwards down to the graveyard and you look up and see the crow. I hate getting stuck there, it always hurts my neck or it feels like I'm getting pushed back into the doom buggy.

We also got stuck on Buzz and me and my friend sat there for 15 minutes just hitting a target, it was pretty funny.

I remember on our first night when we were there last month every ride we went to we got in line and then like a minute later, they said it's have techinally difficulty.

You are all gonna laugh at this, if you hadn't heard it yet.

i was about five or six. This was the first time I went on HM. Things were going well I was having fun. Then we stopped in front of a popping ghost. I was with my dad. We could hear the CM talk about one of the popup ghost. I was getting and started watching one of them. Why? It was sending off sparks from the sides. Then i heard a pop and it flew (or something, age tends to warp memory) onto the top of the doombuggies. I was so scared i thought it was coming for me. I cried the rest of the way. It took me until last year to get back onto the HM.

I've never gotten stuck @ Disneyland, but have been twice elsewhere. Once, at WDW, I was on that Tour of Progress thing inside the big ball at Epcot, and we got stuck right at the very beginning of the ride, staring at the cavemen, for a good 20 minutes. And when you're 7, that is a very long time.

The other time I've been stuck on a ride is at the Jurassic Park flume ride at Universal Hollywood. It's very similar to Splash Mountain, wherein you slowly climb this big hill, and then splash down into water. Well, in the final area, the T-Rex and other dinosaurs have all escaped, so you're floating through a dark lab with sparking equipment, shattering glass, etc. Then, at the end, a T-Rex's head jumps out at you, and you fall down the huge drop to avoid it. Well, on this particular adventure, we got stuck on the final climb towards the drop, and this raptor kept popping in and out of a box at us. After being stuck for a good 5 minutes, we finished the climb, but then the ride stopped right before we were to go over the edge. I mean, right before. The college students behind us had their hands in the air, and were already screaming...but we never dropped. The T-Rex head came out, roared at us, and then slowly went back into the wall, and the wall magically repaired itself before our eyes. So we got to sit there another 10 minutes, when without any warning, we jerk forward and go super-fast down the hill...it was the fastest I've ever gone down any drop like that; not sure if it had anything to do with us being stopped right at the precipice, though.

My last time in Disneyland Resort was March of 2005 for my high school's band trip. We had only one day to do both of the parks, so me and some friends planned out our time wisely, and we finished all of the major attractions in both parks in EXACTLY opening-closing (8am-midnight) at about 11:30 PM, our 3rd time around on Indy cause there was no line, it broke down right when we got on. We had to get off the car and sit at the front of the line for about 20 minutes before it was fixed. Luckily, the cast member working that spot was very kind and informative and we learned a bunch of cool new stuff about the ride. After that, we sprinted to Splash Mountain at midnight, and got on, and got through.

A perfect 16-hour day at Disneyland. :p

I rode BTM last May and it stopped in the avalanche scene. They made an announcement to tell us that "a host or hostess will be with you momentarily." Two minutes later, a couple CMs came and got us out of our train. I really like walking through the rides. We got those "Ride Re-admission" passes. During that same visit, I was riding Splash Mountain and it kept stopping. It was bad because I had to go to the bathroom! I was also in line for IJA and it broke down twice right before we gotr to the loading area. They gave us those passes and my mom and I went in through the exit.

I got stuck in the dart room of Indy for about 5-10 minutes...it was kind of a boring place to get stuck and the constant motion of the car made my stomachache even worse.

I also got stuck on Splash Mountain this summer, which wasn't bad, but when we exited we walked through a back stage area and it was really gross and smelled like garbage. Ruined the Disneyland feeling (but because my friend and I went on as single rider passes in separate logs, we got two ride passes instead of one :)

We were stranded on that stupid Mummy ride at Universal Studios for half an hour.
Surly maintenence workmen huddled past without letting us out.
Intelligent looking people with clipboards walked around nodding and pointing but didn't let us off.
We weren't on the Rollercoaster part we were in the "Set Up" tomb.
No one told us anything or made any announcements about stopping.
I hate that park.
But since that has nothing to do with Disneyland I'll leave you guys alone.

I have said before, but I would love to get stuck on Haunted Mansion if I had my tripod and camera with me in fact the past few times I rode it I rode alone with the camera set up in the doombuggy hoping it would get stuck so I could get a time exposure.

Being stuck at Disneyland wouldn't be nearly as bad as being stuck on Deja Vù at that other place (http://www.sixflags.com/parks/magicmountain/Rides/DejaVu.html) while on either tower!

ok ok i must tell! two great tales of being stuck on rides!!!

INDY:
we had walked right on it, it was fun.... then when we got on be were going along until we got to the room before the dart room right after the rats are falling. we had taken that sharp turn then stopped. we had been sitting there with the engine sound like it was tring to start up again. then we stopped completly! no lights nothing... complete darkness for 5 minutes but it was fun! then a very bright very hot light came on, it blinded us all! we looked around and saw a bunch of storage just sitting off to the side. my sister took two pictures of us sitting there happy as could be. we got to know the people in the front row very well lol. then we started up again, and we got another ride. it was funny because when we passed the part where we got stuck we all cheered! it was unforgetable!

DLR:
we had gotten on at tomorrowland to get to NOS to go on HM before we went to space mt. so we have the fastset train in the park, so we go into the show scenes, you know where the two dinosuars are fighting? so we stop there and watch them fight for a while then....the sound shuts off! we started laughing so hard!! then on the loud speaker said we would sit for a little while, so then..... the dinoaurs shut of completly!!! it was the greatest thing seeing the Segosaurous's tail slowly stop wiggling! they look asleep, frozen in time...i know bad pun :icon_lol: so then we got some history on the dinosuars, it was kinda cool. then we just started moving... it was great to see no movement or sound from the dinosuars when we were leaving!

srry i got a little off topic but i had to bring these up! ok then back on topic!

I had two annoying and really wierd expieriences getting stuck on rides a DL

I got stuck on IJA wwith the air is shooting at you like knifes. Me and my mom were stuck there for about 10 minutes when the ride started back up again.

After that, the same day, Me my mom got stuck on HM were you see the ghosts in the mirrors sitting on your laps. I had a fat ghost on my lap for about 15 minutes then the ride started up again. it was actually quite interesting because if you look hard enough you can see something through the glass.

I got Stuck on Indy, next to the big snake.
On Winnie the Pooh, where they say "Wake up pooh, wake up!"
On Monster's Inc, at the very begining (when you go down the long tunnel).
On Pirates, next to the guy who plays the Banjo (In the blue bayou area) (2 Hours)
On Splash, In the laughin' Place
On Casey Jr., when you go up the big hill. (I guess he though he could but really couldn't!)

All of the above places where where we had to be evacuated... I have been stuck a lot more, I just can't think of more now.

Have you ever been on a ride that broke down, of course we all have, and its usually boring. But, have you ever been on a ride where it broke down and they had to switch on all the lights so the CMs could asssist come people? Maybe you got to see some behind-the-scenes stuff.
If you have, what was the most memorable time you saw an inside attraction with all the lights on?

Mine was in Space Mountain, it was before the re-do. I was sitting and enjoying the ride and I noticed we started to slow down. We finally stopped and a CM was saying through a mic, We're sorry Space mountain is temporarily down we should be back up soon. We were there for about 45 minutes and they figured out that they probably were'nt going to get fixed soon. So, they turned on all the lights and I could see everything. The inside of the building was white and the tracks were everywhere. The weirdest thing I saw though was a chair at the bottom of the building that had a drink beside it as if someone had been sitting there. Anyway, 2 CM's were able to push our veichle and we started going again. We got to ride the rest of the ride in the lit space miuntain building, I thought that was a cool experience.

Same thing happened to me on Splash mountain. There was a log jam and we all had to get out, walk thru the attraction to the nearest door and down a bunch of stairs. It's weird to see the behind the scenes becasue as soon as as you turn a corner, it looks like a bare structure, no fake grass or even paint. Just a big ol' hunk of steel.

That happened to me but in a sort of different way. So, I rode the whole ride and at the end, instead of going off, we kept on going. One of the CMs was like "You guys wanna go again!!!" We were all going woohoo. So we start up again, but instead of turning right, we made a left into the storage room. It was really cool! Then the CM came to us with a step stool and had us get off one at a time and we got to walk up these stairs in this really plain room which led us to the exit. I'll never forget that. Plus, my family wasn't there because I had saved a fastpass from the beginning of the day!

I got stuck in PotC so many times once on the hill going back up for about 25 mins. boy does your back hurt from that position.

next time was just before the first drop for 15min and the stop bars kept pushing the boat back into the boat behind us and the speaker saying powering down ride rebooting. I so wanted off that boat!

the last time I was stuck in there it was for 55 mins. we timed it because, I was with a diabetic that was having high sugar. and agian only heard the speaker saying powering down and rebooting. they did turn on the house lights 3 mins. after we stoped and tuned off the AA and background music sounds. they could not fix the problem and the CMs had to get wet and push the boats backwards to the Emergacy exits. I can not look at the AA with the turkey leg and food chasing pirates and know every move they are going to make.

i have been stuck on many rides (and had to be taken out) but some of the wrost are: #1 its a small world 3 1/2 hours(could not get off because the exit dose not allow people with wheel chairs to get off so they didnt take anyone off(after an hour they turned off the music and all you could hear was the mouths claping together),2 the end of pirates right before the chain lift 30min then evac, 3 old submarines 20min (in that tiny sub) alot of the others where evacs so those are fun to see back stage.

ps dose anyone knows what happens in star tours breaks up in the air how do they get you off?

^ I remeber that. I got stuck on IASW and I wanted to either stick my haed under the water and bring it back or walk out of the exit a few feet away. Thanks for bringing that back up now that is my worse memory on a ride.

Hehe other then that I think it is fun.

Our first ride at DCA was Superstar Limo and after being stopped for 5 or 10 minutes we had to be walked off. Not a bad experience just different.

My husband and our youngest DD got stuck at the very end of Pooh during our last visit. They were in the area where you go though the cards. It apparently took quite sometime to unload because they have to bring out a stool for you to step on. This would not have been bad, except the family in riding in the car with them had a toddler who made a stinky diaper during the wait. My husband was very happy to be out of that car.

when i went to wdw, we got stuck on almost every ride. never had to be escorted though. we were on splash mountain and there was a log jam at the end we were about to get back on to the belt that carries the log to the laoding gates. our log was so slow, it couldnt get on to the belt. a cm came over and tried pushing us on to it, but it didnt work. onother came, but still no luck. a fast moving log way behind us hit another, and started a chain reaction and hit us hard enough to get us on to the belt

Well... it wasn't really a bad experience, but on the Haunted Mansion we got stuck right where the doombuggies lean back and you get a great view of the scary looking trees. I've always wanted to get stuck in front of the singing busts but... hasn't happened yet. ;)

Well, I have a question: how do you get out of POCT when the boat is in the water? And I have never been in a ride that broke down. Man! When I'm on a ride in DL of WDW, I want it to break down and see what's going on. Except for iasw. Now that ride is annoying!

Being stuck... I remember I was once in It?s a Small World ride. And the most annoying thing was, definitely, the song, endlessly singing "It?s a small world"...

But even without being stuck inside the ride, songs can be pretty annoying.
When I visited The Pirates of the Caribbean ride for the first time (if I remember well) we were at least 4 hours waiting outside, and listeing to the song endlessly ly "Yo Ho yo Ho a pirate?s life for me"
I was very tired, of waiting and tired of the song at that time:icon_lol: :icon_lol:

That would have to be December 5, 2006. My sister and I had arrived at Disneyland, left a Happy Birthday flower for Walt Disney at the flagpole, presented roses to a CM at City Hall and set off for a wonderful, off-season holiday day at DL. We walked onto Splash Mountain and were the only two people seated in our log. I was in the front, and there's not much room there. I had my tote bag on my lap and nowhere for my arms so I crossed them on the rim of the log. At the base of the first lift the ride stopped. Expecting a little wait, I stretched out my back by stretching over the front of the log, then returned to my arms crossed on the rim position. The Voice came over the loudspeaker reminding riders of The Rules, but it wasn't until the second time that I realized I was the rider who was not following the "Keep hands and arms inside the vehicle at all times" rule. I was so embarassed! I, who have never intentionally broken a rule at DL (or anywhere else, for that matter.)

Come to think of it, I am still embarassed.

Okay, I have an evacuation/stopped ride story if that counts.

About 2 years ago, I was in Disneyland for my annual Birthday Bash with my aunt. We had just finished my usual first stop of Indiana Jones, and decided to go to my favorite ride- The Haunted Mansion. The entire ride went by without an upset, and then came the end where you exit your Doombuggy.
I had just finished telling my aunt some stories about various rides in the park where people have been seriously hurt or killed (because I'm morbid, and I love to scare her) and right after I exited and it came her turn- my aunt’s leg got caught! She literally was being dragged down the conveyer belt by her foot and the Doombuggy! As she moved on helpless and screaming, I looked over to my left and saw the emergency stop button and slammed it hard. The entire ride stopped. By the time a CM and the paramedics finally came to help her into a wheelchair, the ride had been stopped for over 15 minutes. I could actually hear people screaming and cussing from the graveyard. When the ride finally started back up, I could have been killed by the looks the exiting patrons gave me. If that wasn't bad enough, the paramedics decided the fastest way to get my aunt out of the Mansion was by stopping the ride yet again, getting her back on a Doombuggy, and taking her up through the main stretching elevator. When we finally saw daylight again, an hour had passed since we first boarded the fateful ride. Needless to say, I spent the remainder of my Birthday in an obnoxious Mickey Mouse clad hospital/first aid center- away from the bright lights and churros that is Disneyland.

It was absolutely amazing to see the ride in a way I had never before, and to continue on around that corner that we all hope to but never quite get to stay on long enough to see, but I'll pass next time :)

As a side note, for the past 5 years without fail, someone ALWAYS gets hurt when I bring them with me to Disneyland...... MUWAHAHAHAA (no joke)

Will someone explain how you can be "stuck" on anything @ DL?
If the attraction stops, you get to see things you wouldnt get to see otherwise, and usually you would be with loved ones or friends!
I'm a huge fan of the technical/ mechanical side of things, (kind of a how does it work kind of person) so if I got "stuck" on an attraction, I would probably really enjoy it!!!!!

I have been stuck on many rides at Disneyland they weren't so bad but the worse thing is getting stuck on an elevator. My fiance and me were at Disney's California Adventure like a month ago and we had just got off of that blimp ride whats it called? zyp something anyways my fiance has MS so i always have to rent a wheelchair for her. Anyways we just got off the ride and got into there elevator. I pushed the down button and about half way down it stopped. So we picked up the elevator phone and we called the maintenance guys. it took them 1/2 hour to fix it. so we was stuck in an elevator for a half hour. it was so boring and not cool

He was 35. im only nightneen. yeah that one ride malfunction caused all that drama.
