Ursula Float from Fantasmic

It was always noticable how they stop the parade so the people can dance, right as they play the Welcome song. Yet there Ursula is.. I dunno, just seems unwelcoming :p

actually, i meant the ursula float for Fantasmic, not Parade of dreams. You know, the big blow-up float that used to be in the show. well, that's what i mean

Funny you should mention this. I just got some old tapes from a person and while scanning them I found a Fantasmic from 1995 which has the Ursela float in it. Another person is sending me some old stuff and I think they have a recording or 2 of an older Fantasmic.

you know, that gives me an idea! what if they had i gigantic battle between Mickey & ursula! There could be a small Ursula, which then grow into a gigatic Ursula! then, Mickey comes out on a boat & battles her! there could be fountians and fire!!!!!! it's a good idea, so what do you guys think about that?

Oh yeah, i forgot that ALL the forces of evil joined together into the dragon, not just Malifecent, but still, in WDW's Fantasmic, Mickey fights a gigantic cobra! however, part that was taken by Ursula in Disneyland. still, what do you think of the idea?

He never fights a giant cobra. He just stands there, scared of a giant cobra. and the cobra looks horrible.

well, still, it's a part of Fantasmic in WDW that now has Ursula in DL. Actually, i do like the giant cobra scene, but they could've done a better job on the design, i admit. when i do Fantasmic, i'll try to change the design. Still, a good idea or not?

Some scenes in WDW can be forgetable. But the one in Disneyland can never be forgetten. Disneyland Fantasmic is the original and it is a instant classic!! DL Fantasmic is the best!!!

i would like to say that both Fantasmics are equally good, and i will not favor another for another. there are both things i like better from each, but i like both, and yes, there was a gigantic cobra scene.

First off, yes, I have seen that picture of Mickey & Ursula, second, thank you for that pic of the model, third, where did you get that book?, and fourth, did Ursula move at all? like arms or head, or anything?

A Friend gave it to me. I think that he bought it when he bought the sountrack to Fantasmic!. I forget if Urusla moved her arms or head. But I don't think that she did.

I was just reviewing some footage I recently received:

Ursela appears right after the witch/cauldron scene.

She moved from the Frontierland side to the New Orleans Side.

Her arms, head, and mouth moved and her glowing eyes also open and shut.

While she traverses the waters, the same water screen scene we see now is playnig behind her - so the scene is the same exact without her float.

And yes, I will be making this footage available sometime soon. No date yet.

Ursela moved the same direction as Peter Pan; from Forntierland side to the New Orleans side.

I never saw her exact mechanics but I would assume she is built exactly the same way as Croc.

I found the book on Amazon.com, the author is Jack Vance: It says Fantasmic! Imagination. It is a hard-cover book that weighs 1.3 pounds. The book came out in the 1990s. It is the story of Fantasmic and the making of it. How cool is that?
