I really don't like the fact that when you leave comments on the individual attraction pages it makes your IP public!! Is there any way this could be changed? Anyone else see a problem with this?

We will be phasing out the old comments system in favor of one using a VF login to leave comments about a particular attraction. Until that time, if you're concerned about your IP being public, you may want to avoid leaving comments on the attraction pages.

The IP address is on there to help prevent abuse and until we change from our existing format, we will continue to log and display your IP address when you leave a comment.

In general, your IP address doesn't typically identify you or your computer. Only your ISP is able to locate your particular connection on their own network. Typically you are sharing an IP with hundreds, if not thousands of other people. Unless you are a business with a dedicated network connection, the privacy issues are pretty much non existant.

However, if we get abuse from a particular IP we have the ability to block the IP address and prevent them from registering with VF.
