closing the gates and APs

Okay...
When we went on the 5th we were told by several CMs that so long as you have an AP (particularly premium if it is a block out day) Disneyland can NEVER keep you from entering the park, no matter how full it gets. We were told that they can stop selling tickets or not let in regular ticketed patrons but that they would continue to let APs enter. Then again we've heard that it depends upon how many bodies are in the resort regardless of what type of admission was used, AP or not. So...does closing the gates really affect APs or not?

No being an AP does not matter if it reaches a capacity and the fire marshalls say no more. They can't let more guests in no matter what their ticket status is.

That's what I thought but several CMs told us otherwise... at the Security Checkpoint, when they were walking around in the Esplanade before it opened, even as I went to run over to DCA for Golden Ears (took me only 5 minutes w/my name embroidered vs. the 2 hr. wait at Mad Hatter's), the exiting CM told me that they never did close the gates but either way I could always get in.... bizarre. Doesn't really matter I suppose, but it would be great (for once) if they all had the same understanding of procedures....

It can be true or false, if they are gonna close the gates and APs. It depends on the park's capacity or the people who are going, when it is so full.

If the Fire Marshall says no one can come in, then I highly doubt an AP would matter.

If the fire marshall closes the gates, HOTEL GUESTS cannot get in... Closed gates means closed gates when the fire marshall says so.

Disneyland Park closes their gates far before the Fire Marshall's limit, which means that if you were in the park earlier in the day, chances are you can re-enter. If you have an Annual Pass, you are not guaranteed entrance, even if you are a Premium Annual Passholder. However, if you were in Disneyland earlier in the day, get a handstamp, return, etc., under most conditions, you may re-enter.

To touch on that...
If you leave and plan to re-enter there is a chance you might not get to come back in if the fire marshall says no more...you see once the park has enough people leave they will open the gates back up and let people in until they reach the capacity again....therefore if you leave with the intentions of coming back and they have reached capacity you might not be able to get in for a while....sorry to say it's not like when one person leaves one person gets let in...they sometimes wait for hundreds sometimes even thousands to leave...believe me I was there the last night of Main Street Electrical Parade and I have worked many 90,000 + days...
