View Full Version : Disney Celebrating the 50th @ The Hollywood Bowl
I heard that they were having a firework show for the fourth of july weekend. I found out yesterday that my grandparents went to it. They sed it was spectacular. They had the LA Phil play disney songs to fireworks and stuff.
Anyone hear about this before and get a chance to go? If I had I so would have gone.
I'll try and post more info.
here's a link for more info...I still wish I knew earlier

I just came back from watching the show. It was absolutely amazing and a great way to celebrate the 4th. I would have taken a million pictures but my camera died on the way to the bowl. There weren't any fireworks that accompanied Disney music but they did add some very special touches to the wonderful performance by the LA Phil. They played the haunted mansion piece and on screen they showed the ride part of the ride that matched with what portion of the song they were playing. The coolest part was near the end when three real hitchhiking ghosts came out in there familiar pose as the "ghost host" concluded his tour. Also, they played Main Street Elec Parade, which sounded very cool since its usually all played in electronic sounds. They even had a couple parade floats, the turtle and the bee, come on stage. They had some great footage of Disneyland when the Beu sisters sang Remember When. They even played California Soarin' and showed the ride from beginning to end. When the orange groves came on I was sniffing so hard, trying to take in a whiff of citrus. I guess they couldn't make it THAT close to the real thing. The only sad part of the whole thing was no pictures :(
That's so cool. Too Bad your camera died. Thanks you so much for sharing!
