Does anyone have any cool Disneyland model trains set up? I am thinking of building a scale model of at least mainstreet and setting up a train set to run around it. Wondering if anyone has anything like that. Or if anyone has any high res, detailed photos of the buildings on main street. Thanks.

The opera house has a nifty one =D. About 50 years out of date, but that just makes it cooler ;)

It's called the 'Liberty Bell'. It's green, black, red and white. I painted it myself. It's not any of Disneyland's loco's, but it's a disneyland type thing, because of the mini scenery I had around it. . The track used to go around my room, and into another room, and back. The cars were deep navy blue, and red, three of them.. I also painted those myself. We had to dismantle it, though, because we're moving... It was a G scale model train I painted myself... But sadly, like its real-life counterpart, the Ernest S. Marsh.... it's beyond repair...:icon_cry: I wish I had some pictures I could show you all... :(

I don't have one myself, but I do know of someone who sells paper model designs of the Main Street buildings on CD-ROM. His name is Peter Flessas and he currently has some of his CDs posted on eBay. Search for seller name "moffpeter". BTW, I'm not affiliated with Peter's business in any way, just a fan of his work.

Excellent train set CalDisney.
These are not mine, but if you go to www.brickshelf.com and search for Disneyland you will find a few Disneyland's made out of Lego's and at least one of them has train running around it.
Thanks for sharing those photos with us. I can see you've spend alot of time on this. This is making me feel a little nostalgic.
When I was little we always had a village under the Christmas tree with a train going around it. Of course, with me living there, that little village became more and more Disney over the years, with Mickey and his pals ice-skating on a little mirror-lake, and certain castles in the distance... My mother collected dolls, and on the tree was a display of antique toys and dolls, so the tree itself looked like it's a small world  There was so much stuff on that tree we couldn't use a real tree anymore...
