In the category of best non-animated Disney film, there is a pretty close race in my book between Heavyweights and The Sandlot. Both are excellent movies and are true classics. What is/ are your favorite non-animated Disney movies?

I guess Pirates catapaulted its way to shore for my list.
But the best one of all is probably Mary Poppins!
I'm not sure I ever liked Chitty Chitty Bang Bang so much as I liked the song and watched it for that reason alone. I'm sure there are others out there somewhere on the same page as me on that.
I watched White Fang enough to go on here for sure.
Angels in the Outfield, just because I'm both an Angels fan and a Christopher Lloyd fan.
And then there's...oh man...I told myself I wouldn't do this...but...poor old yeller!!! :( WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

What is/ are your favorite non-animated Disney movies?I don't know about "Heavyweights", but "The Sandlot" was not a Disney movie. It was released by 20th Century Fox.

By the way, do NOT rent "The Sandlot 2". I feel less smart from having watched it.

I own "The Sandlot", too. My love for it is what made we rent "The Sandlot 2". God what a wasted afternoon.

"Hocus Pocus" IS a Disney Movie. Produced by Bonnie Bruckheimer, who is a friend of Bette Midler's (who is in Hocus Pocus) and also produced "Big Business", another Disney movie. Bonnie Bruckheimer's ex has also produced a couple of moderately succesful non-animated films for Disney.

Man. All these years I thought The Sandlot was a Disney movie! It has a lot of the actors used by Disney on a lot of small or tv movies. Heavyweights is a Disney movie ( I checked to make sure!). Both are great movies, still.

Mary Poppins tops the list, followed by POTC, The Love Bug, The Happiest Millionaire (highly underrated), Pollyana, and Heavyweights.

Oh, wait! I forgot Tron! I loved that movie!
I think I'm one of the 8 people in the world that has never seen that movie. I remember it on the Peoplemover and my dad was like "That's from a movie called Tron." I was about 5 at the time and I thought that it looked so cool. I still haven't seen it though. I'm sad.

It would probably seem pretty tame to you now, but back then the "special effects" were impressive. The story was really interesting, too.

Absolutley no contest! Pirates of the Caribbean is the the best non-animated Disney film ever. After, of course Mary Poppins.which is the best non-animated Disney film that Walt made.

And I think that Dead Mans Chest will also be a great Disney movie, from what I have seen from the trailers.

I am really hoping for good things with the next POTC movie. I hope they did not try to cut costs.
