My wife and I just saw this movie and were pleasantly surprised! Don't expect it to win any awards. It's just fun in the tradition of the old Herbie movies (even old footage and a clip of the old music is used). Don't let the Lindsay Lohan publicity wagon stop you from seeing this. It's pretty darn enjoyable! (And clean, too!)

It's funny, all the reviews I've read are saying that it's not a very good movie because there's not a swear word or sexually provocative scene in it... So if it's a "G" movie it CAN'T be good? The reviews seem to think so!
So what that it's predictable (you KNOW Herbie's going to win in the end, right?) and it's another remake/sequel starring Lindsay Lohan... if it's good family entertainment, it ought to get a fair review like any other movie.
It's too bad that Lindsay Lohan's publicity behemoth is overshadowing the film, but I still plan on a family movie night once I get the $50 together to get us all into the theater.

Oh, come on, DaddyB, haven't you heard of matinees? Take the whole family for $47.50!

As much as I liked the original... no go for me. Lindsay Lohan sorta ruined my expectations on this one. She used to be such a cute thing too.

I want to see it...its just that my hopes for it aren't very high...if I do end up seeing it, its not going to be at the theaters. It's going to be in the comfort of my own home.

Oh, come on, DaddyB, haven't you heard of matinees? Take the whole family for $47.50!Yeah. Not to go off on a rant here (thank you Dennis Miller) but whatever happened to the matinee being a BARGAIN matinee? Discounting the ticket by a buck is no bargain when regular admission is $9!

yea my dad is always talking about how the movies used to cost 25 cents to get in...now I pay 7$ for regular and 5$ for matinee...I guess that might be better than other theaters have it tho.

I remember the movie theatre here in Valencia opened with Star Wars Episode 1 in 1999 and it cost $4 to see it!

Don't they raise the prices because the industry is loosing money with all those piracy things and what not?

I loved Herbie: Fully Loaded. I have a strong emotional attachment to that little car. It's movies my grandma took me to see when I was a kid. My Grandma passed away earlier this year.

I loved the movie. Am a bit partial to The Lohan though!!! :icon_lol:
Someone about 10 minutes up the road from me has a Beetle painted like Herbie too. I've always loved that little car so when I spotted it my jaw dropped!!! ;) It has a sticker on it though (can't remember what it says - saw it like 2 months ago now) so I dunno if it is just painted to look like Herbie or is actually something to do with it. Weird.
